She’s certainly gotten away with charges that could’ve put her away forever, or a long time at least. Praise to Moroni, I suppose. 🙄 And Gibb decided she had to be the informer just in time to save her own butt. Of course her story was greatly watered down in relation to her knowledge of what was going on. The whole gang thought it was ok to use religion as an excuse to kill totally innocent people to get their hands on cash. All of them.
And silly Alex was too stupid to realise he was dispensable once the physical dirty work was done. Besides, Lori and Chad wouldn’t have wanted to pay Alex his promised share, especially after not getting Charles’ insurance money.

It’s interesting hearing Brandon talk about he and Charles loving their work and being people that produce things and make things happen. And then you have the bump on the log Chad sitting there looking like a slug.

I believe police are sure she has absolutely no involvement and she is not even called as a witness because they are trying to protect her from further outrage from the public.

Million dollar question but I think it is mainly because of convicting Chad and Lori first. I do hope there is something coming for her, unfortunately Zulema has immunity I believe but I don’t think Melanie B does.
I think that proving Melani B had direct involvement and knowledge would be quite difficult. It would be a circumstantial case with little hard proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

Brandon's testimony is breaking my heart. I cannot imagine his loss, it's like a greek tragedy of epic proportions. I will never forget this case as long as I live and for sure NEVER truly understand WHY all of this even happened in the first place. I hope that sharing this pain with the world will give at least some sort of comfort to the ones left behind 😢
That sounds like you’re describing Colby. Colby is definitely the one who lost absolutely everything, his WHOLE family. Brandon didn’t lose as much. But hey… they all experienced sad and sick crap, dealing with Chad and Lori.

Then Melaine P met some guy and married him 2 weeks later when Alex and Zulema got married in Las Vegas. One big happy cult family. Brandon was on the same hit list with Charles and the kids. And they tried shooting at him. He went through the same thing Charles did back get to talk about. His kids probably would have been next.
Mel P's new husband didn't know what was going on, he even wore a wire for the FBI. And they are still together and she has shares custody of the kids. I would be scared to death.

Both Colby and Brandon and all of their children lost enormously. It's very hard to put loss on this scale into any kind of an order. I just hope that they can feel even a fraction of the love and deep sorrow and sympathy all of us, completely unknown people around the world, feel for them and their lost loved ones. It was utterly heartbreaking to hear Brandon describe JJ and to hear from both him and Colby just how much Tylee loved his little brother. Honestly these kids would have deserved the WORLD for just being such genuine beautiful innocent souls. I'll keep them in my heart forever ❤

You should search for video where Melanie B is with Alex trying to break into her in-laws to take her kids after the murder attempt on Brandon. She ends up arrested.

I watched all the police interviews years ago.
Ian Pawlewski, pay attention. The way she treated Brandon, she will treat you. The Cox family except maybe Adam is toxic.
The guy is obviously thick, or desperate. I suppose he feels safe enough knowing the spotlight that has been on her. They must have such a loving relationship with the thoughts of the murders she has been a part of constantly in the back of his head! He even wore a wire for the cops to try to entrap her. And now they’re living happily ever after. What a very strange bunch of people.

If Lori was renamed as beneficiary during their very short lived reconstruction, it wasn’t Charles who did it. It would be interesting to know the results of the fraud investigation that Charles requested from his insurance company. Either Chad or Alex would have been impersonating Charles to do that. Wonder if that will come up during this trial?
Why aren't the others held accountable?
Because they’ll all claim that they had no idea that Chad and Lori were planning to actually murder anyone. Knowing and proving are two different things in criminal cases.
Hopefully they will be held legally accountable, excommunicated from the LDS church, and only allowed supervised contact with their children. Or no contact at all. Whatever is best for their children so they can heal. If Hell exists may their torment be endless.
I’m hoping they will find enough to charge the rest of the loony Bin. I also think Melanie Gibb is morally responsible for knowing those kids were deemed dark and knowing (in her words) people deemed dark seem to die.

Brandon sounds like an absolute sweetheart. Screw the Cox family. The Cox family brought so much heartache to so many lives and families. It wasn't just Lori but obviously Alex and even her parents, Melanie and sister that covered for her. I hope Brandon is healing from this tragedy.
It isn't fair to condemn the entire Cox family! Some members of the family, like her brother Adam and sister stood up to Lori and are decent people. They are broken hearted over what Lori has down. Let those who have no sin cast the first stone!

Why does Dumbbell have access to a computer?
I've seen many Defendants have a laptop while in court and I heard in jail/prison with restrictions. It's my basic understanding it's for having access to resources, documents and communications related to their case.
I believe it is not connected to the internet.
The man who murdered my cousin had a New Testament in court. He pretended to read it. And he was acquitted. I bet he tossed it on his way out of the courthouse.

I´m praying for JUSTICE and for the ARREST of the only person who knew where Brandon was when he moved and was arrested trying to get the kids after abandomning them and her home leaving her children´s toys and personal belongings outside on the street - harassing him and the kids while ALEX COX was ominously parked outside in a distant spot ....to benefit from his 1 MILLION life insurance after Lori´s failure in getting Charles insurance policy same amount, 1 million - after BOTH of them failing, they simply moved on to the next target - Tammy´s 430.000 §.... Not to mention Melaniece´s kids were RATED DARK - It was divine intervention Brandon an the kids survived, With all evidence and footage available it´s unbelievable that MONSTER is still at large and free.
It hurts Brandon so much to speak about these beautiful people so much. 😢 Breaks my heart
As an atheist, this whole trial further reinforces my belief that religious people are beyond EXTREMELY gullible, to a dangerous extent. I mean. . . come on! Could not make this stuff up. Well okay you can, Chad did, but if he'd tried telling this nonsense to atheists he would have been laughed at and ridiculed. Children, Charles and Tammy wouldn't end up dead, that's for sure.
There certainly seems to be plenty of evidence that religious indoctrination can make for a gullible mark. I mean, they already believe in magic.
Does anyone know why Frogface and his attorney are sitting where they are? It seems like an odd setup… very unlike every other courtroom I’ve seen. Looks like the table they’re sitting at is on the side while the rest of the court (with the exception of the table right behind them) is facing them. (Or else their table wouldn’t be facing the windows.). It makes those two look they are almost literally holding court. As though Chad is not the murder suspect who this trial is all about, but just some kind of disinterested observer. (Yes, Daybell is passive-though only in a psychopathic, passive aggressive way.)

I must say that this case is not only bizzarre and tragic for all the victims/surviving family members/friends.Its Being brilliantly executed by the State of Idaho and in my opinion they are connectting all dots strategically! Everything that the defense is implying doesn't add up? Especially with Tammy's death ( What parent would allow thier teenagers dress all in black and go out in thier neighborhood with a paintgun at dusk? )May all the jurors see the logic in Chad Daybell's light & dark percentages and what happened to someone who he said was a zombie would cause death to come upon them.

Lori and Chad and their deluded evil group , have not just taken the lives of 4 innocent, kind and loved and loving people. They have also caused untold grief, unrest, trouble and terrible pain and sadness to many others who are going to live with that till the end of their days on this earth and who knows what beyond. Brandon came inches away from a bullet in his body. All for his life insurance and so he would no longer be a protector of his children and his assets.
If Alex had been a better sniper Brandon would be dead and Tammy would have been shot rather than asphyxiated. How many more people had the group decided Alex should shoot. Anyone with money available to them on their death I would think.

To play devil's advocate... Rexburg seems to be the kind of place that one does call 911 for someone randomly showing up to your door and trying to shoot you with a paintball gun... To be fair, Charlotte NC (where I'm from) is also a place I would call 911. And she didn't say it was a rifle, she said the guy was holding it like a rifle... This isn't to say that Chad didn't gaslight her into thinking it was a paintball gun, just that the evidence doesn't seem that strong to me.

These people don’t waste any time getting married. Is this LDS religion one where you need to be married? I suppose if you can’t make love to the one you love until you’re husband and wife then you need to expedite matters for your own health if nothing else. In my country the LDS is virtually unknown and not something many people are interested in. I don’t like being told what to believe and what to think. We can do that for ourselves.
Well, the lawyer definitely was able ro imply to the jury that lori was after the life insurance.
