The tank looks like it stood abandoned in the field for 50 years!))) The Soviet army never had such rusty tanks, because the tank is regularly serviced, repaired and painted! By the way, I was in the service in the Soviet army, I know what I am saying! Greetings from Russia!)))
Great video! I've always wanted to know how to weather military vehicles. I just bought my very first tank model kit. Your photos are unbelievably authentic looking. Thanks!!!
Frederic, you sir are a modelling master! I really enjoy watching your videos; your techniques are awesome and I can't wait to try them out on my models. Cheers from the USA! :)

Thank you very much for your compliments. I just try to do my best and it's easier when you're passionate! Happy new year and happy modelling from Belgium !
Great work brilliant I learnt a far bit from this wish I had someone to show me as easier for me to remember as had a stroke and got lost short term memory loss. But very good video
Stunning result. But, I’m having problems sourcing the base colour of medium green RLM70. Your video looks very light rather than a darker variant of green. What brand of paint (and colour number) did you use? It would seem, according to what I’ve read on the internet that RLM70 is a green/black. Any help appreciated, thanks 👍

Thanks! Yes it's a little mistake. It is Gunze H 7o (RLM 02)
thank you, also, what color of the wash did you suggest if i pick the base paint of the track is dark color like black/brownish black or a little bit shinny like gun metal color ?

You can use a lighter color like dry mud, light dust, kursk soil from Mig for exemple.

I have burnt umber I'll try that thanks also how thin do I need to thin it ? And do I need to whip and of it off or just a general wash over everything
Fantastic work Ozzy with this vignette . The realism of the character and the nature is impressive ! You can be proud of this masterpiece . Bravo
that was a great video. Nice music and nice, clear photography. The tracks turned out superb. Fantastic job.
Fantastic video of the tank painting and weathering techniques

I've never seen tracks done like this.. interesting.
Thank you all for your kindly comments. Some other videos will follow...
@Bill Bradford Sorry, it's a mistake. It is Gunze H70, not RLM 70 !
You did a nice job on these tracks
This is tremendously helpful for my current T-34 build, thank you for sharing. I will begin, shortly!!!
Beautiful.
Fantastic !! Very helpful , Thanks a lot.
Great job! Congratulations
I am building my first tank, Tamyia Chieftain Mk5 and will use your techniques on the tracks.
Fantastic!
I used to use a pencil in tracing panel lines on aircraft ,really looked like weathering chipped paint ,,especially on carrier launched planes

Great work brilliant I learnt a far bit from this wish I had someone to show me as easier for me to remember as had a stroke and got lost short term memory loss. But very good video
Fantástico
ooo that looks amazing... :D
The chain at the very end of the video is incredible! How did you get that super dimensional rusted and potted look?
with lots of pigments (like the tracks) and you can add some plaster for more relief. You also have a ready-made chain of AK interactive.
Frédéric Mertès PLASTER! Wow, I never thought of that one. Thanks so much!
très bonne video, je vous encourage à en faire plus. +1 subscribe A bientot
Merci beaucoup. Oui, il y en a d'autres prévues...
Good job!!✌️😁🇮🇹

Inspiring. Look forward to more. Please identify the music. Thank You.
Thanks! Music: "The time to run" by Dexter Britain. Reference now added at the and of the video.

nice video mate
Awesome job what medium green did you use ?
Gunze H70

I have a question. Could you use graphite powder if you don't have access to the metallic pigment?
NeoDaVinci 97 . Yes of course. Same result.
Could you do a video like this but on weathering Russian WW2 tanks
Nice vid very useful I've subscribed
Thank you for the guide, may i ask, can the chipping effect paint still able to see though after you do the wash and pigment ?
Yes
more tutorial please thank you
👍👍👍👍👍
Great job! Names of music please?
Thanks ! Name of the music is on subtitles at the and of the credits.
it's "Time to Run" by Dexter Britain.
whats that afv 8:40. look like a TD with a KV chassis?
Do you give it a clear coat at the end?
No. Not necessary.
Frédéric Mertès ok thank you! Great video
I can't find van dijk brown is there something else I can use
You can use Dark Umber or Sepia (or mix both). Sepia is more "black" and Dark umber is more "brown".
I have burnt umber I'll try that thanks also how thin do I need to thin it ? And do I need to whip and of it off or just a general wash over everything
What?, if I want it to loom like its been to the desert? Not just a short trip down a country road.
look at the KV 1 ,,,, 8.49,,,!!!!!!! no words,,,open mouth,,,,,
This KV-8S (based on KV-1S) - flame tank, it has a small 45-mm cannon and coaxial flamethrower
thanks friend,,,
Where can I buy these models to make myself. Is there a model number and make?
Thomas Middleton . This is Hobby Boss model or Trumpeter. Lot of choice from those brands. Easy to find .
I saw the thumbnail when I was googleing weathering techniques
My first thought was hey tanks aren’t supposed to be rusty and then I saw the word Russian!
It all depends on the period represented. Out of factory or end of the war.
did you use oils on the tracks?
Here, I used Track Wash but you can replace it by dilued oil paint. It's the same result.
Howe mame hove thi's musice?
What is the name of the music?
Name of the music please!
Do you have the video for the tank?
No. Sorry. But you must see the videos of Mig Jimenez! He's The Master !!!
Frédéric Mertès Will do. Thanks for the response.
What is that tank's name
1st photo is KV-7 (prototype) and others are the KV-8s. Kits Trumpeter 1/35.
oh thank you
Benne gij Nederlander?

PRODUC TRUMPETER TANK
