Travis has come a long way.. Chetney offers 7 for a 10g purchase.. Grog would have offered 12 for the 10g purchase.. no, its not different character RP, its travis after getting beat up by laura..
No, it is literally different character RP. Because Grog was dumb, and had no real concept of how money worked. Even in campaign 2, he is much more logical with his spending because his character has the intelligence to know that money actually means something.
Chetney's new carpentry tools could end up as this campaign's answer to Campaign 1's The List, only the names are individually blood-burned into the handles after their owners no longer need them, and if so, one of those chisels is getting named Tuyen. Calling it now.
So the splinter joke was good, but the tag line of “all kinds of goods from one end of the spectrum to the other” for a place called the prism emporium is top shelf
Can we just take a moment to appreciate matts subtle puns. Chetney "splinters off" and the prism emporium having goods from one end of the "spectrum" to another. Chefs kiss, Matt
HOLY SHIT....THE PRISM Emporium. And the shopkeeper is a female elf......Does that sound like anyone we recently met???? Holy shit. Did Chetney almost maul Prism to death?
And Chetney gets his revenge on the price gouging shopkeeper. Go to C3 Ep23, 29:03+ when were-Chetney terrifies and slashes the owner threatening her to never price gouge any future shoppers.
So the carpenter's toolkit set does cost 8 gold in the official list, iirc. It's definitely expensive as hell but technically he wasn't being fucked with too much

Travis's eyeroll
With a Jester grunt

What the fuck is seven comma five?
@@mwalkerl it's another valid way to write 7.5

Travis had us waiting for 12 episodes to get on this revenge. SO hilarious
So we all agree Chetney is Chaotic Neutral at BEST right? Considering what happens ….. after ….
Yeah... that incident was towing the line of evil for sure.
I’d say hes still neutral since his actions were retaliatory, and that he doesn’t purposefully seek out to do evil.
@DAT boi
I feel like breaking and entering and grievous assault for being sold an overpriced chisel goes slightly past the bounds of retaliatory lmao

Tuyen needs to watch her back lest she find one of her stools with a shortened leg and a scattered set of silverware within falling range.

silver? i dont think so
Chetney looks annoyed by the shop keeper. Like he's about to wolf out lol
Travis least favorite thing about DnD is shopping. I fear for this shopkeeper.
@@cryhwks lol he did it again in the most recent episode. I think Chetney vs shop keepers is going to be a reoccurring them

carpenter's tools set is actually 8 gold, so he got a pretty good deal 😂
Check the price of "woodcarver's tools" though.

In Campaign 1, I fell in love with Grog.
Campaign 2, I fell for Caduceus.
Now in Campaign 3, its Chetney.
I love Critical Role :3

Is this gnome related to the one that killed Santa? Having a flashback...
It’s a direct reference to them, basically Travis liked the character and wanted to play them properly outside of the one shot.
On the list right underneath Santa's name

5 dollar tool set, 😂. Iron crafted specialty tools in the medieval ages were like buying cars now. And yes, people rented them out.
Chetney will remember this later
And then...
This is so much better with episode 23

The only thing that would have made that interaction better was if he just said "You're on the list." And walked off
Woodcarver's Tools cost 1 gp...
