I used to love Christmas season. It's difficult now. Since my husband and my mom died within a short time, the holidays haven't been the same for me and just covered in grief and sadness. Recently both I and my teenager son had surgery, and this year I have been recovering and caring for him as I alone put together Christmas for 5 children. Now we just found out my best friend, who has been fighting breast cancer, has had her cancer found all throughout her liver, which is the worse news. Can we skip Christmas this year?

We just said good bye to my 15 yr old cat on Saturday. It was so sweet to see the kitties. She was very vocal and would scream at me until I got her fresh water

If your employer, as many do, requires 24 hour notice for you to take personal leave, it should be perfectly reasonable for the same from you (IMO).

I completely understand what you're saying and the feelings u feel about the whole work thing. they should've let you know at least a week ahead. That was definitely on short notice and u enver know what peoples plans are for that day if u ask me it's quite unprofessional of them
