The worrds "Awesome" and "Stunning" immediately spring to mind here....thank you for sharing this lovely video of a truly classic big jet for us enthusiasts to enjoy 👍👍👍
The DC10 was one of the finest and most beautiful aircraft ever built. Flew Gatwick to Barbados on one in the worst conditions ever (according to the pilot). Every time I see one, or a dirivitive of one I just think of that flight in all those years ago.
Patrick it has been a while since seeing Gemini Cargo still a great video rain included. Love those GE engines and the whining sound they make. All of these classics are part those great times in avaition. Hope you had a wonderful Easter and catch you on the next flight!
THANKS, Christopher , one of 3 GCO MD11's at Ostend , N701GC, N702GC and this one N703GC , soon afterward this airline became history , sadly ! Pure Americana !
@@Yankee7000 thanks for replying. somehow i had viewed the L-1011 as a leader, in its design era, with respect to at least, among other things, at least the latter two of the items that you have listed.
Sou x época dos Mac Douglas!!! Desde os DC 3...

@@patrickvereecke6654 Patrick the ever decreasing aluminum alloy world of aircraft from better times.
I think I aged 3 years during that taxi! 😅
ماشاء الله
Is it powered by RB 211 engines
DC-10-30 GE CF-6-50 engines ( Tristar was powered by RB211 )
i understand the md11 its a plane difficult to land ... any real pilot of this model can comment about this ???
CORRECT , the longer fuselage s the DC-10 contributes to this as well , high nose up attitudes always , present us with nice visuals though
i wonder if these clunkers, dc-10 and md-11, were universally decommissioned from passenger service due their being hazardous death traps(?)..
An innovative revolutionary but flawed aircraft whose accidents changed aviation forever. About the only silver lining to those tragedies….
may i ask in which manner it is viewed as innovative
