    I miss the original version of the keychain light which was basically the same but had 3 settings and a 2 way clip it was my favorite light to use so small great run time for size and brightness and you could keep it anywhere i wish they would bring it back

    I never thought to put a 10440 in an i3E. That goes hard for a small light.

      It is wild. Much better than some older full size lights from like ten years ago which is pretty crazy.

    I run a 1 yr old i3T with the same 10440 you have and I love it. To be honest, I never use it on max for very long periods. So it doesn't get that hot.
    I have to admit, I own a few Olights and the i3T is one of my favs. Cheers

      Same here. The i3T is an all around great AAA flashlight in my opinion and the 10440s take it to the next level.

      You're the reason I got 10440s. I'm so impressed with the I3E. And the I3T is hard to choose even bigger lights to carry for the day instead of it. Simple tail switch and all that light is hard to to top. I wish olight would start making 10440s and a charger too. I'd snatch that up in a minute.

    Hi, approximately how many lumens is the low mode of the i3t with 10440? Does the output drop across the 3 hours you tested it?
    From what I’ve seen in your videos, the old i3t on 10440’s are as bright as an i3t on AAA’s. At 3 hours of run time at approx 150-180 lumens, that’s a pretty decent sustained output from these little lights.
    Also, is there any way to tell the old “high output” i3t’s from the nerfed ones?

    • @PardonMyEnglish
      @PardonMyEnglish  2 месяца назад

      Good questions. Unfortunately I don’t have a way to test the lumen output but I’d guess that the low mode would be around 150-180 lumens with a 10440. And yes, the output does gradually drop off.

    Got my i3e in and put a fresh 10440 in it and dedomed it… 106m vs the i3t (old) at 111m. So yes, although the i3t has a more diffused beam, it still puts more lumens out.. in case you want to dedome it, for once they made it a screw out assembly.. but.. beyond that is super risky, because you have to pry the board off the plastic reflector.. def not advised, but with some careful hammering and butane torch melting, I got it all out and dedomed it… stock calls for 44m but Im thinking it’s closer to 80 or so.

    I wish they weren't after the highest numbers possible for these small lights. 200 lumen is great but in case of an AAA it runs out of juice too fast. And 5 lumen mode is just not enough for me.
    Still looking forward to an AAA light with a tail switch and 50ish lumen mode that would give a decent amount of light and let the AAA run for a while.

    Io ho acquistato una I3E eos e sul libretto istruzioni c'è scritto che NON si deve usare una batteria superiore a 3,7V.
    Perché questo?
    Grazie in anticipo.

    • @PardonMyEnglish
      @PardonMyEnglish  5 дней назад

      Good question. I think it comes down to the design of the flashlight. The i3E was not designed to use 3.7v batteries. I think that is why they are not recommended. Some people use them in the flashlight anyways but note that excess heat is generated.

    Hey, If I get the 10440’s, can I charge them in a Nimh charger that I use for my AAA Eneloop batteries?

    • @PardonMyEnglish
      @PardonMyEnglish  5 месяцев назад +2

      Good question. I would check the manual for that charger to be sure. The difference in voltage between Nimh batteries and 10440s is significant enough that it might not work.

      @@PardonMyEnglishyea, it figures. Thanks for the quick reply. I got the i3t2 because of your review. A had originally ordered the i3t and then cancelled that order after watching your vid on the newer model. It also came with a free orange i3e. Then I ordered the Perun 2 mini (such a cool little torch!) Thanks for your vids! 🍻

    What size battery does the i3E take ?

  • @CanItAlready

    I've had three i3t tailcaps fail. None of them lasted more than about 6 months of daily use with nimh batteries being swapped out and charged. I like the form factor and output but i have no trust in this particular Olight anymore.
    I have an old i3s, which is a bit larger than an i3e but has three outputs and a strobe mode and it still works, so i know Olight can make a aaa light that lasts. I just don't know what's wrong with the i3t.

      Sorry to hear about your experience with the i3T switches. Mine have been good so far thankfully but I’ve had two Mateminco switches fail on me, so I’m done trying those for now.

    Any chances you can run these tests on an I3t Plus

    • @PardonMyEnglish
      @PardonMyEnglish  5 месяцев назад +4

      Good question. Unfortunately using two 10440s in the i3T Plus makes the voltage too high for the light to handle. Basically stacking the batteries doubles the voltage to 7.4.

    • @gabehunt2000
      @gabehunt2000 5 месяцев назад +1

      Could always use a “dummy” cell, which would keep the circuit without adding voltage

    • @AverageReviewsYT
      @AverageReviewsYT 4 месяца назад

      @gabehunt2000 theres no reason it wouldnt work. 1.5 and 1.5 is 3v and we know it can take 4.2v so your basically sitting there with a i3t at that point lol

    Previous model output:
    180 lm during 21 minutes
    Actual model output:
    200 lm during 7 minutes
    Curious I can't see that runtime modes information (about actual model) on google images (rear of the box) or specifications on websites!... What curious!...
    Now, if you want see how pretty is, no problem, millions photos...but the runtime/modes info don't exist...

    Looks like when olight found out what people were doing they had to spoil the party, so there's a little fire risk, it's the nanny state gone mad.
