Hiiiiiii! I’m so glad to see you doing well! I just had a bilateral tube removal in preparation for my embryo transfer. We decided to do the suppression protocol since I have endometriosis. My doctor wants to calm things down before they put in the little guy💙. I have been watching your vlogs during recovery and it’s been great! Also, very sad about how the original Dexter ended! Seeing your bump makes me so happy :) I failed the 1 hr glucose test by 1 point and had to take the 3 hour. It was the worst! But had no issues. I could feel Penny flipping from all that sugar!

I love Dexter! It’s one of my favorite shows ever made, however I was not happy about the way they ended the show.. it left me wanting more! The new blood season is soooo good but yet again it left me wanting more.. I’m so sad it’s officially over for good, there’s no way they could bring it back after the way it ends. The red dots!! I also got those when pregnant all over my chest and neck and I hadn't heard of anyone else who had them until now. Good news is they gradually went away after delivery!
Take that 48 hours for sure!! On the last night I sent my baby to the nursery overnight. We were bottle feeding by that night but otherwise they would have brought her to me to feed. It was so helpful for both me and my husband to go home with sleep in the tank!
Mindy when you are having a Charlie horse, if you extend your leg out and bring your foot up towards your leg it will ease it and help release it ...it won't stop them from happening all together but it does stop the one you are in the middle of having. I have always had problems with Charlie horses in my calves because my tendon at the back by my heel isn't long enough so it pulls and tugs at my calve muscle and causes Charlie horses when I'm resting ... a nurse told me about stretching leg out and pointing your toes up towards your leg and it has saved me a lot of pain.

I’d recommend buying some actual maternity pants/shorts at this time. They are so comfy, supportive, and they’re good after the baby is born as well, especially if you end up having a C-section.

Hiyee mindy! I work for an obgyn and for your 1 hr glucose test I recommend a high protein breakfast nothing with sugar because that will spike your insulin and may cause you to fail the test. And that 3 hr is miserable. So crazy how fast your pregnancy is going!!
Preeclampsia mama here, you can develop it quickly so keep a check on lots of swelling in the legs or constantly feeling like you have to pee with nothing coming coming out. I had it twice and have to happy boys now, if it is preeclampsia they have ways to keep it at bay

June 13th is my baby girls birthday. She'll be 15 this year! Time sure does fly by! Take a straw with you to the gestational diabetes test. The less of the stuff that touches your taste buds the better! The last one I had tasted like an EXTRA sweet orange Fanta.
My husband delivered both our daughters (alongside my Dr. of course) if that’s something Larry is able to handle I would let your dr know the plans before you deliver. Also I WISH I would of taken the time to type up and print a birth plan for the hospital! Things get rushed in the hospital most of the time and it just helps so you’re not repeating yourself constantly ☺️
Mindy I have MS. I get lots of cramps aka Charlie horses all over my body. I was told this hack years ago but drinking maybe a half juice glass of dill pickle juice really helps. Now it's not a thing, but when I was pregnant, around the 8th month I started pumping so I had a milk supply in the freezer before my babies were born. It's a good thing I did because I ended up having them both at around 35 weeks. These days they claim it may cause preterm labor, well...I'm 2 for 2 and having mine at 35 weeks had nothing to do with preterm labor because I did not go into labor. I had preeclampsia with both my daughters. When I came out of the hospital from the C sections, I had a nice supply of milk for when the rough times breastfeeding occurred.
PICKLE JUICE HELPS WITH THE LEG CRAMPS!! Drink it right when u start cramping, also, I found that nightly stretches helped too (leg lifts, do 30 lifts in front of u w/ ur right leg , then 30 to the side, & 30 behind u. Then repeat the same sequence with the left leg, 😁 you'll be ready for bed right after!

I had red pin prick dots all over my hands during pregnancy and I was going to make an appointment for a biopsy after I gave birth cause I was worried about skin cancer. They went away minutes after I gave birth! Pregnancy is so weird. Also magnesium was my best friend during pregnancy.
If you will be circumcising your son, that will add additional hospital time. He cannot go home until he has successfully urinated and gets the all clear. As a L/D nurse, it’s usually 2-3 days.
Larry could try some mashed butternut squash with butter, pepper and salt, and/or some spaghetti squash, shred for “spaghetti noodles” with Alfredo (usually we add chicken but keeping it for soft food ideas, it’s really yummy! I’ve had my fair share of oral work done. Soft foods definitely get tiring.
Potassium for Charlie Horses…so bananas are the best option. Just don’t eat to much because it can make you constipated(lol) but one every other day or in your smoothie
I had to do the “3 “ hour which isn’t really 3 hours. You have to fast which was super horrible being that I was super sick through my entire pregnancy and not eating made it worse. They take blood first then you drink the “ cola” which is I believe 125 mg of sugar then wait an hour first draw and so on so basically I was there 4+ hours. Got sick and weak almost passed out and threw up so they almost cancels the test I said I’m not doing this again. And then they said it’s not good to go that long without eating….🙄 I was like I know but they told me I had to fast. They still said I shouldn’t do that.. I’m like I knew this was going to happen. They told me to eat starchy food the night before but I threw up everything I hate that night so it had bee in 12+ hours since I had food. So I pray you are all good with this test! Btw you are so cute and I can’t wait to see you and Larry with your little man.
I had gestational diabetes with my youngest daughter ❤ The Dr said that it will go away after the baby was born, which it did ❤ But he said that in about 10 - 15 years it could come back ❤ My daughter was born in 1981 and my diabetes did come back in 2007 ❤ BUT diabetes does run in my biological family on my mother's side ❤ So hopefully it does not run in your family ❤ God Bless on your journey ❤ I did tell all 3 of my daughters to watch for signs of diabetes in the future, especially my youngest ❤ BIG HUGS ❤
Mindy, when you feel a cramp coming, immediately flex your foot back. I hope this makes sense haha. Flex your foot back, like your toes flexing towards your shin. I promise you this works and almost immediately goes away.
You’ll hear SO many different things being a breastfeeding mom… one of the biggest pieces of advice I received was to do your own research and advocate for yourself and your baby if you want to continue to do it! It’s ok if baby nurses to sleep, cluster feeds, etc. You won’t have 3 oz or more of white milk as soon as baby is born. I’ve found that so many new mom’s don’t even know what colostrum is and then think they’ll need supplementing. Just relax and go with it and do as much research as you can before baby comes! It helps so much! you’ll be fantastic, mama!

Diabetes test tip! Don't eat a lot of sugar the day before or the day of the test, it can affect the test...I gave birth to my son in 2021, only 1 person allowed in the room and no visitors at all....it was a blessing in disguise. My husband and I had our short hospital stay to totally bond with our son, and not have all our excited family members holding him, which can add up on time. Family just had to wait 2 days to have their time with him.
Girl I must say you make being pregnant look so easy lol.. you are glowing & so sweet all the time! I just love you Mindy! When I was pregnant with both my babies I hated it haha 😂 But I love my kids! It just was very hard on me & my body lol… Cheers to having children all pray you have a easy birth! We were able to have 2 people in the room for delivery but only 1 once released into a regular room which I thought was weird. I had to stay 3 days. I took advantage of not leaving after 24 hours. 😂
I’ll be 23 weeks tomorrow and I started getting really bad Charlie horses during the middle of the night too. I’ve been drinking more than enough water so I feel you on that girl. Lol

And then they said it’s not good to go that long without eating….🙄 I was like I know but they told me I had to fast. They still said I shouldn’t do that.. I’m like I knew this was going to happen. They told me to eat starchy food the night before but I threw up everything I hate that night so it had bee in 12+ hours since I had food. So I pray you are all good with this test! Btw you are so cute and I can’t wait to see you and Larry with your little man.
I had gestational diabetes with my youngest daughter ❤ The Dr said that it will go away after the baby was born, which it did ❤ But he said that in about 10 - 15 years it could come back ❤ My daughter was born in 1981 and my diabetes did come back in 2007 ❤ BUT diabetes does run in my biological family on my mother's side ❤ So hopefully it does not run in your family ❤ God Bless on your journey ❤ I did tell all 3 of my daughters to watch for signs of diabetes in the future, especially my youngest ❤ BIG HUGS ❤
Mindy, I was having really bad charley horses when I was pregnant with my youngest. It sucked so bad and I was constantly in tears every night.
Mindy, when you feel a cramp coming, immediately flex your foot back. I hope this makes sense haha. Flex your foot back, like your toes flexing towards your shin. I promise you this works and almost immediately goes away.
You’ll hear SO many different things being a breastfeeding mom… one of the biggest pieces of advice I received was to do your own research and advocate for yourself and your baby if you want to continue to do it! It’s ok if baby nurses to sleep, cluster feeds, etc. You won’t have 3 oz or more of white milk as soon as baby is born. I’ve found that so many new mom’s don’t even know what colostrum is and then think they’ll need supplementing. Just relax and go with it and do as much research as you can before baby comes! It helps so much! you’ll be fantastic, mama!
I love my salad spinner and almost cried when I cracked the bowl, luckily it still works but just have to be careful lol. Dexter was a good show a bit repetitive each season but once getting through that it was great. And I agree the ending was crap! Left you asking questions and basically forming your own ending of what you think it meant. I need to watch this new season I keep forgetting lol
Diabetes test tip! Don't eat a lot of sugar the day before or the day of the test, it can affect the test...I gave birth to my son in 2021, only 1 person allowed in the room and no visitors at all....it was a blessing in disguise. My husband and I had our short hospital stay to totally bond with our son, and not have all our excited family members holding him, which can add up on time. Family just had to wait 2 days to have their time with him.

We were able to have 2 people in the room for delivery but only 1 once released into a regular room which I thought was weird. I had to stay 3 days. I took advantage of not leaving after 24 hours. 😂
