I keep thinking and watching every week thinking that this will be the one we get to say happy birthday little person sprout. Praying for an easy delivery and recovery and healthy baby.
Buggy is so cute. You guys are great parents. Meg, you’re quiet about it, but I know being so pregnant makes everything, including breathing, much harder. Ben, keep taking care of her. Y’all are a good team.
can we just take a moment to acknowledge how amazing your sons are. Over the years (long time subscriber). They have become a. part of your You tube journey. and are now acting out Wes Anderson level skills of appearing in the background. The first minute of this video is testament to that. love and best. wishes to all of you, from a tiny corner of South East UK.
They never whine or fight or beg for stuff. As long as Mom feeds them and Dad, let's them work in the shop, they are happy. Kids are so spoiled today. They are so refreshing to watch.
A tip on the greenstalks.... I HOPE you guys don't mind me giving you tips. I really like helping make it easier on people. I took mine apart last year and didn't pay any attention to those little watering things in the middle of each one of the planting things. Some of my holes aren't getting water because those tiny holes in each tier of watering is stopped up with soil. So when I redo it I gotta clean out those little holes.
Your children are getting such a great education for life ! Amazing to hear the interaction with each other. They have been Blessed . Your daughter is just beautiful and adorable to listen to. " I grew up in a flower garden my father and mother loved , my Mom always made baskets of herbs. . My memories of childhood memories are daily filled with beautiful childhood memories ❤️ at 68 years young .🕊️ Can't wait to see that baby in the oven. Meg your all baby only. you are so flexible and strong . Prayer for your family 💗🙏.Thanks for sharing.👍
I have twins too, same thoughts, that would be 2 sets of twins for them! I’m so excited for them! Such a wonderful family, I’ve learned a lot from them! God bless from East Tennessee!
I just love the Hollars. Wonderful to see Meg out of the kitchen and to see Millie the cat lounging while Ben and Buggy help Meg. Be safe and God bless all of you.
Meg you are the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen, I am short and had big babies and carried really high so I felt like they were kicking my ribs out, you look wonderful
Meggggg, watching you getting up and down, bending, uggggg, I’m remembering my last months of all of my pregnancies when I prayed to God please don’t let me cough or sneeze or go too fast over a speed bump in the car. You are in amazing shape. I’m praying now for your comfort and good rest this month. 😊
You two are soooo amazing as a couple, but as parents. WOW.We as your fan base, have sooo much Respect for you both.Thank you,for being the real heart of true hard working Americans ❤️ That old school, our country was based on.WTG,Tyvm
A little tip I saw on RUclips for small seeds - carrot seeds mixed with sand in a seasoning bottle made it very easy to sprinkle out evenly. Worked perfectly when I tried it.
Meg,I think you are getting all your ducks in a row. You look amazing and I hope you continue to bloom. Buggy is a little diamond and so cute. She has gotten so big and learned so much. She is a lovely little girl, full of chat and ideas. Ben is looking after you very well and making sure you don’t over do it although. Don’t know how you manage to be squatting down doing all your planting. Having said that, it should make for an easier labour. Thinking of you every day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Buggie waters Millie cat! 🤣 Gotta get video of that going down. She gonna be a helpful and entertaining big sis to the littlest Hollar. Be blessed y'all. Jesus rules!
Buggy is the founder of a new pre-schooler age Future Farmers with a one word motto - “Grow! “ LOL . Seriously- she knows tons about cooking and gardening and farming and she is not yet school age. You all are amazing! God bless!
My SIL graveled (digging new potatoes from the "hill" is called graveling) potatoes from Mom and Dad's garden while they/we were at the beach (all summer at Myrtle Beach camping in a 36', from school letting out until school started back! Man, we had a great childhood!) When it was time to dig up the potatoes, there were none! She had harvested them all over the season and we were left with plants and no taters. She was teased mercilessly until my mother passed.
I've been watching y'all for years. Met my fiance 2 years ago and introduced him to y'all. Now he gets mad if I watch an episode without him. Last year we got two goat and this year got chicks. Looking to purchase some land. Possibly looking to get 25 arce now. Thank you for sharing your journey and inspiring us. Biggest blessing to your whole family. 💜
Meg, My husband heard me commenting on your Green Stalks. I've been wanting Greenstalks for years but timing wasn't right. My husband went in our bedroom, and grabbed his credit card. Came out to the kitchen and said happy mothers day....order yourself 2 Green Stalks, and 2 spinner bases. I placed an order for 2, and can't wait to get them. Thank you for the discoumt code.
We in Trinidad love Qulantro .My dearest Meg as a utube granny my blessings and protection to you and your family and I can't wait for the new arrival .I fell is a 👧 girl . ❤❤❤❤
Hello Hollar family, my grandmom always had extra sweet basil in her garden… she used it in her tomato gravy and her pesto sauce was amazing… I miss her every day
Thank you for the discount code. I bought two green stalks. One for me and one for my mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. Love, love, love your channel and your family.
When I was setting up my greenstalks this weekend I kept getting pestered by some punkies, what we northerners call those soil gnats that emerge early in spring. They love to divebomb your face while working in the garden. After about 10 minutes of swatting, I grabbed a few leaves for lemon balm and rubbed it over my face, releasing that citrusy oil. Never had another punky after that. Remembered doing it last year to keep the mosquitoes off me while picking beans. Lemon balm is a bully, being a member of the mint family, but it sure has a great plus side in pest control. Buggy is adorable!
Mission Accomplished ! Happy Family, Happy Life ! ❤️ You Guys are Such Great Parents ! You have raised Such Upstanding Young Men, Buggy is growing up, you are expecting another Baby Girl, the Big Brothers will be Looking out for their Little Sisters . It's refreshing to see Buggy asking Meg where the Chamomile should be planted , and watch this new feminine energy /addition of Both Girls to the Family Unit and see you guys transformed into a very well balanced unit in the Future. Everything for you guys happened exactly when it should have happened. You had to Step Into the Wilderness, and You've Made it to a different place and life ❣️ Thank You for Sharing Your Journey With all of Us. It took a lot of Gumption. Proud of You Two !! 😘
I love the Greenstalks, very nice. Your little Buggy is so sweet. She’s learning so much from her patient parents. You boys are also so kind and respectful. I just love your homestead. Lots of hard work, but you two got this.
What a sweet little helper you’ve got! Your property has come so far, it’s so neat to see the progress! Hope you got a good rest after such a busy day 😁
Potatoes are not ready until the plants die back. When they flower they are STARTING to make potatoes. Your potato plants look very healthy and are just starting to flower. Best to leave them alone.
Hi guys just wanted to give you a heads up that RuthAnn Zimmerman (Homesteading with the Zimmermans) just put up an Old Mennonite recipe for moth trap attractant/killer for fruit trees! Jason was asking on Homestead Shop talk! Hope it is helpful to ya’ll! There ya go! 💖😉Peace and blessings!
Green stalk= I would recommend thisr supports too! Very well made, and I love how they come apart for easy storage. They also help with netting/winter fabric covers too!
For some reason a Gardenary 6.5 minute RUclips video on growing cilantro just popped up on my queue. It may be the answer to your cilantro challenge. ❤️❤️❤️
My favorite parts of this vlog are.. 1.” There we go.” Said by all within one minute. 2. Buggy asking about the chamomile and if it can be eaten, and when told that it’s used for tea, she gave a good head in agreement and understanding. 3. That Meg is totally rocking third trimester of pregnancy! 👏
The trick to cilantro in the south, is plant it in the fall, you will get some harvest in the fall, then it just kind of exists over the winter and then it comes out big-time in early spring. I got tons of cilantro this way. Freeze dry it for fresh use all year!
It's the newest thing in culinary advancement. Coriander tacos. 😋 Slugs LOVE yellow, so look up the yellow solo cup in the garden to attract slugs over there, then place the cup where the chickens can enjoy.
I dont like cilantro right back. I have the soap tasting gene. It’s so bad 😂😂😂😂 Smells fresh and looks good , but I could just as well take a mouthful of Irish spring..
Meg, you look like your having a good sized boy! I say that also because I think your hormones are different from you were pregnant with Buggy. But, only you know cuz you’ve had enough experience to know 😌. Looking forward to the new blessing to arrive! ♥️
Love herbs, too. Lemon balm is in mint family and loves to travel. Any volunteers where not wanted are great to dry for winter tea. Sometimes I freeze leaves in ice cubes for adding to "summer sun tea". Lemon balm & chamomile tea is wonderful. Tastes kind of like lemony apples. Cilantro... Yes. Too close to building will bolt it. They prefer being an understory plant. Cooler area but with sun. Do you have a location that gets sun but stays a bit cooler during the hotter parts of the day? That might be best. Also... fertilizer can cause it to bolt quicker as it heats up the soil too much for it. It can be finicky. When trying to find info on it, check under coriander leaves, you might get more helpful info. Everything looks great and all of you look truly happy 😊.
I always plant my cilantro in the shade of a larger plant that only gets partial sunlight and mostly dappled shade. It slows down the bolting process a lot. And I do succession planting with one started indoors in July to go out around mid-August to be ready for the September salsa making harvest. I will plant them in the shade of my tomato plants, we cut off the branches from the bottom 12 to 18 inches. The outside plants, no greenhouse ones. They do well long enough to make salsa and fresh pico.
You are all set. Brain to plan the layout and plant, muscles to do the lifting and hauling and dainty hands to pat the seed in. Another great vlog. 💕💕🌻🌻
Meg looks stunning in her pregnancy. Gorgeous. What a great Mom she is…both parents for that matter. Best wishes for a smooth delivery, girl! I don’t know if you know which gender you’re having but I’ve got my fingers crossed for a little sister. 😊
Hope, you'll get the pink one for Buggie. Then, she can plant all the dream seeds. Great blog. Baby, looks well and coming soon. Love, praying SE MICHIGAN 🙏
You can use the cilantro flowers when it bolts, or let it go to seed and harvest those -- coriander! Another delicious flavor. Also, I find sowing it from seed in the early spring and fall gives you more leaves before it bolts. When I buy plants they bolt pretty quickly.
Woohoo. Indiana long time fan❤️. Love your videos, and want to say thank you for the Green Stalk garden discount code. They have great Mother’s Day sale now so I’m indulging in a 5 tier planter and swivel base. Many blessings, good health and happiness to your family.
Ok Meg… you only have one more day to birth that baby so it can be born on my birthday. No pressure… lol. Loved watching Buggy watering the greenstalk with her little watering can. She is so adorable
I love that you saved the Batchlor button plant... Sweet story! Made me think of my late sister who adored wildflowers and singing Robins in Springtime ... Happy memories of our childhood days. the Strawberry tower is so neat! You are keeping my Country life childhood alive through your stories... THANK YOU!!
Suggest try to plant your Cilantro in successive weeks... and perhaps it will grow in stages giving you cilantro when you want it... or at least not all at once. One of the boys (Brent?) was interested in gardening -- he might be able to keep up with that type of a schedule; especially since he is one of the beneficiaries!
I remember my grandfather talking about putting a shovel of soil on top of the potato plant after they bloom to slow the green part growing, his potatoes were huge!! Buggy speaks much cleaner than most of much older children I heard on YT, you go girl!!!
I was hoping to see the boys helping you plant the herbs in your herb garden.
I think we just did the same as others!!! I JUST BOUGHT TWO 5-TIER WITH TWO SPLINNER BASES!!!!
I keep thinking and watching every week thinking that this will be the one we get to say happy birthday little person sprout. Praying for an easy delivery and recovery and healthy baby.
I KNOW!?!? There were no tomatoes in the greenhouse when this was filmed! 😊 Almost like they filmed it for "the" day. So excited I am about to bust! 😂
@@bigsky5102I never even noticed that ! Such a good catch, also there was no date on the intro
Right!! She is gonna pop lol I can't wait for the baby. Meg is the absolute cutest pregnant woman ever..
Buggy is so cute. You guys are great parents. Meg, you’re quiet about it, but I know being so pregnant makes everything, including breathing, much harder. Ben, keep taking care of her. Y’all are a good team.

I agree even Bugsy is such big help.
Buggy is a little doll. So sweet.❤

I was actually wondering if that could be an issue. Thanks!!
Meg, you are simply amazing. You are in such great shape. I get exhausted just watching you! I have always wanted one of those Green Stalks, so cool.

Buggy is a natural gardener. It’s so great to see her wanting to put her hands in and asking great questions.
I know im not the only one who thinks Meg is having more than one sweet baby ? Cant wait to see the newest member of your family .
I have thought the same !
Same here 👶👶👵🏻👩🌾❣️
I think it’s a girl🤰🏻🙏🏼
I have twins too, same thoughts, that would be 2 sets of twins for them! I’m so excited for them! Such a wonderful family, I’ve learned a lot from them! God bless from East Tennessee!

I love millie the cat!!
I love Millie the cat!!
Buggy waters the cat 😂😂😂😂😂 how funny!
Buggy watering the strawberries made my mom heart smile. What a cute little gardener!
Same 🥰
Meg you are the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen, I am short and had big babies and carried really high so I felt like they were kicking my ribs out, you look wonderful
One of my earliest memories is sitting in the dirt next to my dad as he was planting in the garden.
I enjoy Ben and Meg working together. Emphasis together. Happily anticipating the arrival of the newest member of the Hollar family.

I too, love watching your precious children working with you from the oldest to the youngest!
Cut the flowers off the potatoes to encourage more tubers to grow and it stops the plants from going to seed. This is important to do now.
Buggie is a very good helper.
Buggie waters Millie cat! 🤣 Gotta get video of that going down. She gonna be a helpful and entertaining big sis to the littlest Hollar. Be blessed y'all. Jesus rules!
Ah, Meg! You are awesome and inspire my 62-year-old self!❤

Buggy really is so intelligent, and so absorbative of aallllll the plant knowledge. It's fun watching her become a professional botanist 😊

Buggy is a natural-born RUclipsr.
I love the blue, Green Stalk for its pop of color.
@tobycat ... That is exactly what Buggy is - she was born into youtube!😊
Potatoes are not ready until the plants die back. When they flower they are STARTING to make potatoes. Your potato plants look very healthy and are just starting to flower. Best to leave them alone.
I’m in California and I have found (in Monterey) the secret to cilantro is to plant and grow it in the cooler months before the heat comes. Good luck!
i can't wait to see the new baby!
Buggy is going to be a great gardener!!!❤
Mascot Millie sunning and Buggy planting in the Green Stalk. Such a great time of year. Meg is almost there! ❤
Happy beeeeeelated birthday to Ben’s mama

Love the green stalks, looking good Meg💕
I have 3 Green Stalks each with a spinner base, and I love them!
You could put the cilantro seeds (coriander) in your pickles too. It's an amazing ground spice. & I really love adding it to sauerkraut.
It’s always an adventure watching your homestead grow and change
What a lovely video, I really enjoyed it! 👍
New potatoes, snow peas, and lots of butter...yum!
Thanks Hollar10!! I ordered a Green Stalk!! Cherry Blossom pink this year! Beautiful color! Can’t wait!
For a family that wasn’t gonna plant a lot this season you’re off to a mega harvest year lol…GROW….blessings Hollars❤❤
Meg is a hard worker!
I love the green stocks very cool. I wish Megs was cooking that is my favorite part of your videos.
Love Meg cooking

*head nod*
Your African blue will be beautiful, with sun and water big and bushy.
It's beautiful, and lots of bees will be very, very happy. But not really the tastiest basil, I've found. I ended up leaving it to the bees.
The trick to cilantro in the south, is plant it in the fall, you will get some harvest in the fall, then it just kind of exists over the winter and then it comes out big-time in early spring. I got tons of cilantro this way. Freeze dry it for fresh use all year!
Re cilantro. I saw a video about cilantro where the person said it likes cooler weather. Volunteers came up in early spring and were thriving.
It's the newest thing in culinary advancement. Coriander tacos. 😋
Slugs LOVE yellow, so look up the yellow solo cup in the garden to attract slugs over there, then place the cup where the chickens can enjoy.
I could imagine those tall planters would be good for cuttings and starting tree seedlings
oh, wow you're starting to have the baby soon walk, love it
Your kitty is the same color as my Gus. He likes to be in the garden with me. Talks to me the whole time. I enjoy him so much. ❤😊
Get finished painting the side of the well house white to reflect the sun for your strawberries.
It’s amazing how much a little paint can change things.
I think they just painted a green because it was white before
Very good planting and you have good helper, all family together
Awesome fun day. Now go put your feet up.❤
Cilantro doesn’t like anybody. Don’t feel bad.
Cilantro grows when its less than 70’s but mostly above freezing. Early spring and late fall
Thank you, I needed that!
I dont like cilantro right back. I have the soap tasting gene.
It’s so bad 😂😂😂😂
Smells fresh and looks good , but I could just as well take a mouthful of Irish spring..
Try a layer of sand on top of the soil… slugs hate sand!
Thanks for real life and family times.
🤣🤣🤣🤣upfront in the video behind Meg, your son pressing his nose on the door screen LOL!! 😂
Meg, you look like your having a good sized boy! I say that also because I think your hormones are different from you were pregnant with Buggy. But, only you know cuz you’ve had enough experience to know 😌. Looking forward to the new blessing to arrive! ♥️
Your daughter is delightful! I hope to get my granddaughter involved in some gardening soon.
I just ordered my first 2 greenstalks! I used your code.
Thanks so much for sharing these.
May God continue to bless your family 🙏❤️

I finally got a spinner base, and I swear I play with it more than is needed. 😂
I love the spinner bases also.
Woohoo. Indiana long time fan❤️. Love your videos, and want to say thank you for the Green Stalk garden discount code. They have great Mother’s Day sale now so I’m indulging in a 5 tier planter and swivel base. Many blessings, good health and happiness to your family.
I love my Greenstalks so much! I see you all couldn't resist the limited availability of the blue one. Same!
Ordered the basketweave green one! 🥰
I’ve been looking to purchase one so Happy Mothers Day to me!
