Q from the panel leaders: what are you going to do to meet the climate goals? So, not, there seem to be some issues w current climate policies. What direction should the EU go? They look upon climate measures as a given. To say that is narrowminded does not come close to reality..

The actual cost price is 0.5 - 1.0 cents per kWh. These companies and all counterpower and district heating companies that also produce electricity get district heating on top of the sale. Only a heat exchanger is needed instead of a condenser. In addition, it is clear when you compare the power (MW) in relation to the output (TWh) that you notice that, for example, V.. runs at 40% short load. This is a fact. It would not be worthwhile to try to deceive those who understand the field. Why would nature be of interest to MEP S when they are not interested in the most important thing, i.e. money? None of the future MEPs participating in the European elections are interested in the fact that European workers bear the majority of the tax burden, i.e. 7,000 billion euros? Why don't the players in the derivatives trade (with a volume of 452,900 billion euros) pay enough tax on the 6% average profit they receive? The tax collection (1.9%) would generate a whopping 8,000 billion euros. Why don't those who already have all of our money and capital want to participate in society's obligations? Before, at the beginning of the 20th century, when the industry was being built, the factory owners built the apartments, hospitals, schools and pensions THEMSELVES with their own money, although even that money was collected thanks to the employees. Couldn't agree more! Europa is very democratic IF people vote... And media coverage is everything nowadays. Average cat video: 1 million views. Debate about the future of Europe: 27k views.
Great debate, so much better than the circus proposed by French broadcasters. Just one caveat: the pre/post poll of the audience is kind of useless if not misleading.
They should have done it like in the US. How come that I as an EU citizen know more about the US candidates and elections than I know about the EU ones? It is not like I have no interest in politics, but simply the issue that these candidates and the whole program has no interesting profile. And another issue was how this program was organized! 30 seconds speaking time and each candidate has 1 minute introduction time, and the introduction happens in the middle of the debate. Topics are thrown into it and answers are too abstract. This was pure chaos to watch.
@ Progressive & pan-european (their goal is a federal European state). It's honestly the best party simply for the fact that they don't use the sports mentality left-right approach but always the most rational one. E. g. they are in favour of small nuclear reactors (SMRs), Anti-Russia, Pro-Digitalization etc.
This debate is a joke. Von der Leyen “the war can end if putin has to stops the war”. Is this primary school diplomacy and geopolitics? Lets please vote her a** out of politics.
I really like this debate I like most of the candidates except for Vistisen and a few things of Von Der Leyen. If any of the others win I'll be happy. If Von Der Leyen wins it'll be alright for me. This said, I'll vote for Baier. I really like how he expresses his ideas.
Yes! Great Maastricht and Politico are not able to make a proper map (minute 6:14) to show that Romania 🇷🇴 votes, but not Turkey, Istanbul. Turks don’t belong to Europe, but Constantinople belongs to Europe. Romanians won their independence from the Turks in 1878.
Not strange at all. It is easy to learn, already spoken by many educated europeans in all countries of the EU and it connects us with our main strategic partners.

One point can be easily made. The level of english is appallingly bad. Don't these people get a decent english course, especially on fluency?
There is one english speaking country in the EU. Not the most important issue.
The worst English speaker by far was Strack-Zimmermann.
@@nadie8093 English is also an official language in Malta.
What a shame that such an important debate has such low visibility and audience. This should have been broadcasted in the biggest TV channels in Europe, and here we are seeing it on RUclips on a (important yet) niche forum which only the bubble somewhat cares. Besides, seems the EP comms team is still lacking ambition with a campaign title "Use your vote".🥲
Time steps would be helpful.
A bunch of Germans, a Dane, a Dutchman, and a Moldovan who represents five (5) MEPs. United in diversity!
Do you want a debate with 216 people, one candidate from every country of the EU for every party?
This debate shows how far away are these guys (including those stupid video question guys) from real people
what do you mean?
what are "real people"?
👍👍👍...you are so right 💯
A Club of feudal lords....
I wish I could vote for European Free Alliance.
Interesting debate.
Came the technics for the green Deal for the climate change Strategies from the GDR?
4:20 wow, they found the one VOLT voter
Haha that's actually someone I know!
What is VOLT?
Found it on Wikpedia listed under: "European political parties not recognised by the EU".
@ Its a far left party in a couple eu countries
@ Progressive & pan-european (their goal is a federal European state). It's honestly the best party simply for the fact that they don't use the sports mentality left-right approach but always the most rational one. E. g. they are in favour of small nuclear reactors (SMRs), Anti-Russia, Pro-Digitalization etc.
My vote for Roßberg!!! From Gipuzkua!
I see you like amateurs ... wink wink 😂
Mr Baier for president👌👌
One ad every two seconds really triggers me 😂
Please vote Volt. This is the party with the best program for climate protection and reform of the EU.
Climate is not an issue in europe
So .. a 2 state solution for izrael and palestine ... but not for ukr and rusland? Now THIS IS HYPOCRISY at its finest.
This debate is a joke. Von der Leyen “the war can end if putin has to stops the war”. Is this primary school diplomacy and geopolitics? Lets please vote her a** out of politics.
Vistisen still equating anti-semitism to anti-zionism. Pathetic.
21! .
I really like this debate
I like most of the candidates except for Vistisen and a few things of Von Der Leyen.
If any of the others win I'll be happy. If Von Der Leyen wins it'll be alright for me.
This said, I'll vote for Baier. I really like how he expresses his ideas.
Why? She has made EU less bussiness friendly and poorer.
U dont vote ... 😂 ... imagine
But Israel belongs to European. Most of the so called jews are European convert....
That is a real politics and debates! ❤❤❤❤❤
U r joking, right?

It is strange that english is the official language of EU...
Agreed!
Not strange at all. It is easy to learn, already spoken by many educated europeans in all countries of the EU and it connects us with our main strategic partners.
You can't expect anyone to learn French or German I think
It isn't. English is one of three working languages in the EU, alongside French and German.
The EU has 24 official languages. What is strange in official langauge of Ireland and Malta?

Interesting, accusing being influenced by China and Russia without zero proof and the audience is clapping enthusiastically. This has some similarities to modern TV broadcasting shows when applause gets perfectly timed.
1:31:23 applause anyone? The guy has a point... My point is: if we stop listening to one another we might miss a few important things. The students in the audience are too entrenched.
Well because the policy of the ID contradicts what he is saying. Voting against EU punishment of rule of law abuses, against the EU overruling autocratic regimes, voting against EU sanctions on autocratic regimes. He does not have a solution, in fact he works against a solution, but in his populist malaise he spits out a sentence of sense, only because of the haze he finds himself in.
Bas Eickhout klingt wie ein gescheiterter Toptransfer vom VfL Wolfsburg
Aber ich freue mich über das Format! Ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung! :)

the climate change projects its so unrealistic to become so big as the first prior while INDIA, CHINA, at least these countries have like double the size of the problem and really they are playing the biggest role for this issue. so i believe this topic have to be more on foreign policies than for the native people of europe. im starting to believe they use that content for inner consumption. ofc its an issue but not in Europe only to become so major to begin with
