I always used the 3M E9Y Scotchlok pliers and have used thousands of Scotchlok connectors over the years in the Oil Well Perforating Service Industry (to connect Blasting Caps), and then introduced them into the professional Fireworks Industry. They are certainly a mainstay of the Telecom Industry, which is what they were originally invented for by 3M. On a word of caution; do not rub your eyes with any of the waterproof sealant that oozes out of the Scotchlok connector when you crimp it and get it on your fingers -- it burns your eyes!! That Knipex tool looks very good -- I'll have to get a few -- Thanks for sharing.

Yes there is a warning about the gel on the package.
The knipex is so small and light weight and with a spring to open it up.

I found the wire connector the most fascinating part of this video.

They are cool. I have used them for many years. Just didn’t have a knipex tool for the job

The connectors are not a new thing, but was so happy to see Knipex had made a tool for them

so much better than using normal pliers, as it has the perfect gap to fully crimp, but not damage the connector

I have the Klein version of this tool, they take out any variability and risk of crushing the connectors. Knipex plierswrench's also work quite well as long as you you go overboard squeezing them.
