- A great artifact from the sfgamfan collection. This POV, taken in 2011, features American Eagle Forward red. The POV begins with the train already in brake 4. The coaster is dispatched from brake 4 in manual mode, brought up the lift using the lift fast button, and does not get hit with the trim at the top of the barrell. One day, as park president, I will restore American Eagle back to its former glory, the greatest roller coaster on planet earth.

Why do people think this ride is bad....it’s a bit rough in some spots but it’s not unbearable the whole ride.
I love Eagle and I am actually one of its biggest fans, not trying to brag lol.
It’s not the best coaster on the planet, but it’s really a fun ride and quite underrated.
I’m kinda scared about this coasters future as I’m hearing rumors it’s time in the park may soon be done.
As cool as an RMC hybrid it would be....I want it to remain a wooden coaster....but then again I want it to duel again.
Plus is the coaster getting new trains from what I heard?

American Eagle is the best ride in my opinion. It's a classic, it's fun and runs great for its age. Don't get rid of it!!

Called the Crow's nest. Back in the day someone would stand up there to let the station know when they could send the next train.
Lol this Holiday in the park, a light up Santa was put up there.

American Eagle is still very fun despite its age. It blows that it can’t race anymore due to structural age, but that doesn’t mean the ride can’t physically race anymore. It pretty much can still race but from what I heard, the park is trying to keep it operating for as long so that may be a reason why for why they prevent it from dueling.
Not saying the structure is dangerous like Son of Beasts was.

I like eagle but it kinda hurtsbmy neck cause its bumpy and old and my dad is older and he wont go on it anymore cause he got whiplash he said he remebers it being built when he was a kid but it is so fun i also like viper a little bit. I go to hurricane harbor sometimes and its fun. but i dont think we need a new water ride how about some coaster thats big and fast.
I heard on cold days an empty train can come to a full stop at brake 6
trim kills the 2nd half of both sides, but Red is still OK. Helix was never smooth, I assume 3 row PTC trains just shuffle too much. Thanks for posting
Alright so I NEVER see videos or experience American Eagle using the Drive Tires. This will be the first of me see it being used. Your explanation in the beginning of the video, does it involve the Drive Tires? I know for sure it's being used, but are they involved with your explanation? - 0:49
I'm new to roller coaster enthusiasm and would love to know more about propelling coaster trains, because I presume American Eagle's station doesn't consists of drive tires (I don't see any). It's on an incline and gravity takes over once the brake is released.
There are drive tires for the transfer track only now. They are retracted when the ride is operating they do not touch the train. I remember when I rode as a kid the brake run had drive tires but doesn't anymore. When it opened there were more drive tires. You are correct, the station and brake run are on an incline.

@sfgamfan When you are park president keep the existing rides, no locking xflight vests, and the batman strobe light at the end, and improve maxx force theming. If you were to get rid of a ride, idk if u can do that, get rid of mardi gras hangover or some bad ride. I like dark knight so dont do that. We should get a giga or something original, long, and gooood. Have a good day 👋!

It’s probably a ride manufacturer trying to protect a design feature on a panel from competitors. A letter in the mail threatening legal action is probably really scary so that’s probably why we haven’t heard anything.

Of course. One of the top priorities. Plan is to buy it back from Idaho. But, since it alone would not meet my capacity standards, we will purchase another one brand new and install it with the lifts back to back and then run them at the same time. Would be such an incredible sight and ride experience

because i am a fan of sfgam and American Eagle is an integral part of the park's history. There is no existing POV's like this where the ride is not running like it would during normal operation. Glad you're not hating!

All Six Flags have to do is fundraise for more land and pay RMC to build a completely new American Eagle. And put it next to the OG!
American Eagle is too iconic to be tampered with.
