For new crafters: I did hear two different things called a cover sheet so I hope the creator does not mind if I clarify.
the brown sheet is called a Teflon sheet and the clear sheet on top of the htv is actually a carrier sheet.

I loved this tutorial. I loved all the different applications. I loved learning about what Ront stands for. I also have the same brand machine that you were using, except in the color Red Raspberry. Great minds thing a like. LOL. I highly recommend this machine. I'm not only a subscriber but I have also purchased Svg Bundles from your website to use with my Brother scan n cut SDX 125. Great stuff, great customer service, great prices. I'm all the way from America in New Jersey. You craft ladies are fun and informative. Thanks for sharing your craft smarts with us. Looking forward to many more.

In what way other than size is this enough better than an iron to validate the price?

Hi Eric, I thought the same thing as you..... until I bought a Cricut 12 x 10 hand held heat press, which is similar to the HTVRont press Alanda shows here and since using the larger press over a normal household iron, I found it works much better.... as you get a larger area of heat at a consistent rate, unlike an iron where as soon as it reaches it's 'set' temperature it starts to cool down...with a portable heat press, like the one Alanda shows, you get consistent and uniformed heat for a longer period. You also you don't have to move the press, which helps to prevent shifting of your designs and its more portable than a standard heat press...I hope this helps your query.

The cricut of similar size is more expensive.

Hello, Do all iron on transfers require the teflon sheet on top of them? I'm just new to this, and am a little unsure. Thank you.

It doesn't need to be teflon you can use parchment paper, but you do need to use something as a protective barrier.

how do you clean this heat press? I have old ink I can’t take off, thank you

I only use it for vinyl so haven't had any issues with discolouration as yet. I should think that any ordinary iron cleaner would work. As I say I haven't tried that as yet, so maybe test it on an outer part of the heat plate first.

We use SVG files available from Creative Fabrica. They are already done and ready to go.

Our machine was provided with a plug that is suitable to use in Australia, as that is where we are based. If you purchase your machine in the US it will come with the appropriate plug for your country. HTV ront also provide machines in the UK and Canada.
