In the UK they don't use the Euro(€) but the pound(£).

We use the pound £ in the UK. Not the dollar or the euro 😉
They mentioned it a couple of times in the video.

I had the calculator watch bought for me as a teenager - still remember it - I'm in my 50's now - thought it was the best thing ever at the time.

Things were not necessarily that cheap, although matched with inflation these days - maybe they were.
Source: My mother who was a teen/twenties gal in the 80s. They were all skint.
    Happy holidays!

You also have to consider that the UK prices in these ads include the VAT, where in the USA you have to add on the amount of TAX to the retail price, for which US State you are purchasing your goods in,
This is because the VAT in the UK is automatically included in with the price,
Where in the US, the TAX percentage of the total price of your purchase is added on as a separate fee,

5:26 Since the Polaroid cost £19.95 British pounds in the 1980s, that would have been 86.57 DM German marks back then. The euro didn't exist back then. In US dollars that would have been around $25 at the time; if the euro had existed back then, it would have been 43.37 euros.

3:55 The Woolworth brand has its origins in the USA. On February 22, 1879, entrepreneur Frank Winfield Woolworth founded F.W. Woolworth Company. On November 2, 1926, the German subsidiary of the US American F.W. Woolworth Company founded in the Hotel Adlon Berlin. On July 30, 1927, the first Woolworth department store in Germany opened in Bremen.

The company's headquarters, on Broadway, was the tallest skyscraper in New York City until the Chrysler Building was completed. It's still called the Woolworth Building, although Woolworths went out of business in the 1990s and slimmed down to concentrate on sports goods and became Foot Locker. Woolworths were a five and dime store, and in Britain they were famous for their Pick n Mix candy counters

'Garageland' is a jokey riposte to press comments that The Clash were nothing but a garage band. The Clash were anything but that...

First of all, @michailpoimenidis6452. Nice precision to say that in the UK is is the £ (pound)... but maybe you should have said that the € (euro) didn't even exist back then in any country.
The prices are normal due to the inflation. Not going to do a class here but back then things where much cheaper in the US to (well not comparatively to the income).
Anyways, merry Christmas ! And yes your new microphone is godd but to be franck you have to have good audio to notice the difference (suprising that your previous microphone was a cheap one)...
For the new year resolution... I have idea... hehe: RUclips Premium. I even have it :)
