    An awesome new update that was a blast to try out when we saw it last year. Remember that last year's version had normal Lightstrike, not Lightstrike 2.0. More Lightstrike Pro combined with Lightstrike 2.0 can only be a good thing in my book.

      I think it’s a workhorse do it all shoe. Similar stack and set up to the Boston but will be softer under foot . But less fast than the Boston

    You'd think the Adidas rep would know that the original Adizero SL midsole was Lightstrike, not Lightstrike 2.0. Surprised they didn't make more of this upgrade as L2.0 is a fair but softer than the first version.

      I actually found the lightstrike in the SL is softer than the Lightstrike 2.0 in the boston 12 (for heel feel and thumb push test). I really like both shoes also. Very excited for more LSpro in this version.

    I'm a big fan of the Adidas SL model and I'm eagerly awaiting the SL2 which seems to be even better. I've never been able to understand how the SL manages to be so superior to the Boston 10, 11 apparently having a simpler midsole and basically the same structure and shape. The fact is, it really is much better.

    underrated shoe. good shoe for almost all runs. I was hoping they'd add a little more pop to make it even better for workout days and it looks live have. Also hope it goes on sale constantly like the last one ($60). Adidas is really stepping up!

    Hopefully the toe box is higher and I'd also prefer less padding up the upper, while that's comfortable it makes the shoe a no go during rain as it'll soak up water and become too heavy, plus my first pair of SLs quickly got holes in the padding around the ankle. That said, I still bought a second pair to compliment my second pair of Boston 12s.

      they are always conventional in terms of midsole drop. moderate drop shoe is rare in adidas. i think boston 12 is the first boston with moderate drop. quite surprising.

    • @babyyoda134

      If you can find one it is probably better to buy an old Takumi Sen 9 at a discounted price with the lower 6mm drop and full lightstrike pro and use that as your speed shoe. Thankfully, I picked a couple up at half price when they were heavily discounted a while back.

    • @kaprikornian1
      @kaprikornian1 3 месяца назад +7

      what do you mean with "all the trainers"? Adios / boston / pro / takumi sen / etc are all between 6 and 8. What more do you need? Plus, a 4mm is as bad for some as is the 10mm. You can always go buy some Altra's for their zero drop.
