    How many times do we fish a match and have a plan before hand, then that doesn't work so we change our plans, then after we reflect and wished we done something else, thats why we match fish, sometimes its works, sometimes it doesn't. But we never give up, love watching your videos keep it up. I got my 2nd match of this year on the bank holiday. Hoping to put some fish in the net.

    Great video Joe, How would you remove the branches in a match situation mate? I,ve given the margin a scoop after the whistle to clean it of choddy stuff and got frowned at.

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  Месяц назад

      It depends on the rules. At lindholme you are allowed to rake the margins as they get lots of branches etc as it’s such a windy place 🤣

    Great vid Joe just a question when your playing the fish on the top kit above your head why do you lower it down then stright back up mate?

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  Месяц назад +1

      It’s an old habit from when we used to use hollow elastics before pulla kits and bungs were invented. The theory was it regathered some elastic and locked it. Guess I’ve never grown out of the habit

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  Месяц назад

      I’ve no idea. The weight is generally irrelevant if the balance is good 👍🏻

      @MatchFishingFilms only reason I've just bought a 10m saver signature anditI weights a ton a 10m 😅 maybe I should have bought the preeron edge monster I'm sure it's half the weight

    Hi Joe. You are a better angler than me but I can't help notice an issue with a solution that you already know about (because I've seen you use it).
    When losing fish into the reeds in the position that you were fishing, you stepped up in line & elastic, but you need a short top kit (such as your removed #1s). You HAVE to stop the fish burying themselves in the reeds. You need to have used the full 'hit & hold' gear from the start but the 'finesse matchman' in you didn't allow you.
    Yes you may have got a few less bites but you would have got twice as many fish in. Just my average angler opinion.

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  Месяц назад

      Well I wouldn’t have reached the reeds with a shorter set up!

    • @takleteck7008
      @takleteck7008 Месяц назад

      @@MatchFishingFilms Fair point. Then you could elasticate the #1 only or sacrifice half your elastic in your top kit by shortening it (already half stretched).
      Also, you arc the pole around to pull the fish but you could ALSO ship back quickly (at the same time). Throw the pole behind you like you'd do fishing a snake lake opposite bank reeds. I'm not playing you up (I'm a fan), but you have to wrench them away from those reeds (whatever your pole will take).

    Your a top angler joe but I think you would be even better if you just slowed down a bit. Every time I watch you you seem in such a rush. Even when other aren’t catching your a 100 mph.

    • @MatchFishingFilms

      Ha ha I'm definitely a fast angler, but it is also a 6hr match crammed into 20mins so may give a skewed view of things. but I am the least patient angler around
