The reason why changing the hair color in anime characters is ugly and a big no no for most people Is because a big thing about anime charcter design is hair color choice, its one of their most defining feature, now you have smash that implements anime like game characters When you change their hair they dont fit anymore, cartoony characters are less likely to fall out of it because cartoon like characters are very wacky, therefore most wacky color schemes seem to fit them well
The edgy Inkling skin is actually a character from the Splatoon manga named Rider! He’s my favorite character. I don’t love inkling as a character, but I love Splatoon so I play inkling with the Rider skin all the time

I also really like the purple robe for Dedede, mainly because purple clothes were historically a symbol of royalty, so I can see Dedede wearing a purple robe to some kind of special occasion
I'll be honest and say I like the red/white Hero skin cause it makes me think of Maximillion Pegasus and the jokes that ensued have solidified it as one of my favorite Hero skins. For Joker I love his classic look but also adore his school uniform skin too.

There is a point to it actually. If you have bounce on, bounce will not show up for a bit, letting you get more useful spells
