    An excellent video, I have learned so much from watching it, well done. One question, can I fire off a multi-burst with the flash on my camera, I have a Canon550d? Many thanks Mike.

    • @princejbc2003
      @princejbc2003  26 дней назад

      I’m glad it was useful. Yes you can do multi burst but the recycle time on the flash will be a limiting factor..the flash might not be able to keep up. Also the flash tends to heat up quite quickly and will stop firing when too hot.

  • @usernamemykel
    @usernamemykel Год назад +1

    Excellent!
    QUESTION: Let's say that the TT600 is in the camera's hotshoe. I select S2 for optical flash. My intention is to use the camera's pop-up flash to optically fire the TT600, but the physical pop-up collides/hits the TT600, and doesn't fully open.
    SO - what's the solution? (Basically, I just want the TT600 to flash from the camera, without having to purchase a separate radio "trigger", or to flash from a remote flash unit).
    PLEASE ADVISE, thank you!

      hey mykel; i wound up here because i DONT yet have experience with flash but am looking into it. But I think I understand your issue. You can get a cold shoe accessory so that you mount the flash either a bit higher on the hot shoe or to the side. Alternatively, invest in a inexpensive light stand to mount your flash. This gives you even more flexibility and gives you a Jumpstart into off camera flash photography.

      Unfortunately the Godox TT600 flash doesn't have a built-in battery level indicator. As for the sudden loss of function, I can't really tell what that could be. If you're using it on-camera, you could check that it is well positioned on the hotshoe.

    Based upon your very much respected recommendation, my TT600 arrived today. But when I mounted it to both my Canon 7D Mark II and my Canon T3, put it in M mode and turned it ON, both cameras displayed the same message on the LCDs:
    " External flash func. setting ! This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or the flash's power is turned off".
    PLEASE ADVISE as to what's going on and how to correct it.
    Many thanks in advance!

    • @princejbc2003

      The message just means that you cannot controll the flash from your camera since it is a single pin manual flash. You should still be able to use it but you will need to adjust all the settings on the flash itself.

    • @princejbc2003
      @princejbc2003  Год назад

      Hi there. You have two options. One is to just use it on top of your camera on the hot shoe. The other is to use optical sync mode where you trigger your flash using the in-built flash on your camera. On the left side of your camera, you will find a little lightning symbol...press the button to pop the flash up. Then follow directions in the video to set your flash to optical sync mode. The speedlight must, however, be able to "see" your on-camera flash when it goes off. You can turn the power of the camera flash down so that it doesn't affect your exposure. You do this in the camera menu. Hope that all makes sense. Save up and buy yourself a trigger...it is more reliable. Good luck.
