    The gloss shop makes some very good products. Love the ultra body wash, clarify soap and sublime. Very underrated brand in my opinion. Richard is a good guy that makes quality stuff.

    Its one of my favorites. It was the first surfactant based product (versus the 4 or so other polymer based products i use) and i was very impressed as to how well it cleaned. Left a sqeaky clean surface. To be honest, all the big rinseless wash players do a great job. I had no issues with its slickness at all. It felt as safe as any of the others that i use and cleaned better. I will look at other products they have to offer.

    Thanks for that. My take is very simple. I wanted to see how good Hero was, so i deliberately made sure my car was super filthy. The way the dirt was encapsulated into Hero gave me the confidence to not rinse after the pre spray, but just go right in with my sponge. Im pretty sure i found my limit before Hero's.
    So, by all means, try to clean a really dirty car and don't apologise for it.
    Ps, i probably won't do what i did again, but it was fun at the time!

      @pigeonpoo1823 same here. Though I say I won't do it again, part of testing almost requires it. Plus I have 5 fleet vehicles that are from enterprise so I can experiment sometimes. If you're looking for a spray and rinse sealant, the CARPRO Hydr02 Lite is really good. I'm working on a short video of that, along with a few others.

    I have tried both N914 and Hero to try polymer based rinseless solution and it seems to me pretty much every popular brand will perform similarly. I will just purchase the cheapest one next time.

      It really depends on if you like slickness or a clean feeling because you are going to apply a sealant. If you are going to apply something after, use something like Hero or DIY, Feynlab, Sublime, etc. If no sealant, then look into a product like Absolute, Ecowash, Ech2O, Wolfgang Uber SiO2, etc where they leave something behind, but also feel very slick when drying. You can find both inexpensive and really expensive on the spectrum for both of those tastes.

      @@TheOutdoorDetailer Thanks for your reply. I'm applying Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray every few months. I saw in a review DIY dries faster if washing outdoors and Koch Chemie doesn't smell great which is why I bought Hero to try.

    One question; after you clayed the hood and roof, did you use the rinseless to wash off then dry, or did you simply wipe with the drying towel? Great video again, and thanks

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Месяц назад +1

      I just towered it off. I did keep rinsing the clay mitt though, but at 1:64 it left nothing on the surface. If I had used iron remover I would have rinsed before drying.

    I mean, I'll be 100% honest with you, I am more likely to shy away from something that can pull dye out my wash media like that. If I need that kind of hammer, so to speak, to clean my car I'll get out the pressure washer and my Frostbite.

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer

      True, but a lot of us don't have that type of access to water. I have a pressure washer, but I can't use it where I live.

    Thanks for the test. I can't help wonder when the water is that filthy whether we are bringing contaminants back on when we dunk the sponge/flipfold? I would love to see the water poured through something like a cheese cloth to see what if any particles are still floating above the grit guard. I am fairly new to this so questions like these arise in my mind.

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Месяц назад +3

      The way a rinseless works is that the chemicals encapsulate the dirt, so even if you bring some back to the surface, it's still fairly safe. In fact, rinseless is also water softening as it encapsulates the dissolved solids as well. Also on your question, this is why I always mix 3 or 4 gallons instead of just 1 or 2 like others. Some people put the bare minimum in a bucket, which to me means more dirt concentrated in an amount of water in the bucket.

    • @dogtrainerstuart
      @dogtrainerstuart Месяц назад +1

      So if that is so, is a grit guard necessary? Also why would we need to pre rinse if really dirty if it all get encapsulated anyways. Is there a point that the dirt overwhelms the ability of the rinseless to encapsulate?

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Месяц назад +1

      There is a point and I'm pretty sure I exceeded it on this test. 😆 if you are pre rinsing and all the grit is gone, I really don't think a grit guard is necessary personally, but I would use one just in case your rinse didn't get everything. So while the stuff encapsulates dirt, there may still be stuff that needs to fall to the bottom.

  • @bris3513

    The car looks amazing after the Sublime rinseless wash. How well did the dirt release from the sponge when you dunked it in the bucket?

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Месяц назад +1

      @bris3513 seemed to release well, and the double flip towel released a lot. I can't remember if I recorded it, but I did leave the double flip soak a couple minutes and when I squeezed it out, a lot more of that dirt was gone.
      In all fairness, it's a 9 month old car, but has 25,000 miles on it already, and travels to a manufacturing facility multiple times a week. It also gets a tunnel wash every week too, but clearly it's not working that well.

      @@geirnaert I've just looked at the price and dilution ratios in the uk. A 10l bucket works out at £3 per wash! Absolute works out at 80p per wash.
      100:1 and £30/l v 256:1 and £20/l.
      It's simply uncompetitive.

      I actually just ordered a bottle to try out. $43 USD with shipping. Ouch. Took one for the team though. I am hoping my normal supplier starts carrying it if it is any good, because I would at least get a discount over retail plus shipping would be included with my normal orders. Honestly, that's the best method for 95% of the people out there. Pick something your normal supplier carries and use it. This is also why I won't ever say something is the best. No reason for people to spend 3x the amount of money on something that works 5% better than what they can get locally cheaper.

    Where would you rank this rinseless wash based off your experience?

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Месяц назад +2

      For a surfactant based product I really like it. Leaves nothing on the surface and smells great. Wish it had a little more slickness on the dry off. So maybe 7.5-7.7 on a 1-10 scale. Highest I've thought of giving so far is an 8, so it ranks pretty high.
