This is the first step of actual full on robotics with arms coming into homes. People might not realize how big this is but giving full autonomy to a robot with an arm is big news. In the past it wouldn’t be able to do anything with that arm, nowadays due to advancements in AI it can.
We need to see how well it performs. I have dog toys, socks, and cords that get left around the house. If this can pick those items up, great. However I suspect this won't get to be a great product until version 2 or 3. I have the roborock s7 max ultra and its great but they don't even add software updates to it anymore. I have to move up to the latest version to get new features. That a tough pill to swallow for these expensive vacuums
This is definitely where the future is going for these little machines, better arms, more types of objects (learning as they say here), eventually these machines will take care of all the floor cleaning :)
I'm always wary when companies use the word "eventually". You have to buy a device based on what it can do *now*. And while being able to program it to know where to put certain objects that you can train it on is a pretty neat trick, having to train it for multiple objects kind of sounds like a nightmare. And that's if the recognition works.
i need it to short out the white and dark landery so if certain color put it ther. red on red blue on blue. think to never have to sort laundary with this ?
It’s interesting that they’re able to do this at a theoretical price point for consumers but I don’t think it’s very practical in its current iteration. Time will tell how the robots in our homes evolve and what other tasks they will handle
Avoiding is great, but getting clutter off the floor is even better. Especially for people with disabilities who either can't bend down, or have neurological issues that make doing chores significantly more difficult.
if you have socks around your house you need an intervention, Horder alert... It needs to do more than just socks... I am pretty sure it will be an arm and a leg the price without the functionality of an arm and a leg.
The maybe the best and saddest revolutionary daily life technology I have ever seem... but it's sad that they need to invent such technology which shows how Not diligent we are.... did we actually "evolved" into anything better than ever in human history??!

Exactly
Yup, it's beginning.
what happens when it becomes sentient and picks up a knife😂😂😂😂
Then, it will make dinner
just make sure all your knifes weight more than 300gs. SOLVED
It would be very unfortunate. The autopsy report would show multiple stab wounds around the ankles, but the cause of death was brain degeneration.😂
Optimus Prime will step in to defend her.
🤣🤣🤣
Literally the first thing that crossed my mind. 😅
Can someone hack it to stab someone in the foot? It could be a fun party game for parties 🥳
I guess we are all cooked guys
Dw I’m sure they’ll start a world war to cull us
Genius. I leave my socks on the floor!

They need to teach that arm how to hold a duster and clean the baseboards with it!
loooks awsome. curious what did the company swap out for the robotic arm? strorage, power, or more suction. if so then i stick to the older modules
the mop
i need it to short out the white and dark landery so if certain color put it ther. red on red blue on blue. think to never have to sort laundary with this ?
But can it hold my beer?
I need one that can clean and climb stairs more than anything
The interesting part it putting things “away” good for busy houses maybe
fantastic design love this ill go hungry for it anyday 😊
How are you suppose to find your socks if they're not on the floor.
Great now it can hold a weapon for the uprising
Ok we need this at our house 😂😂😂
It’s interesting that they’re able to do this at a theoretical price point for consumers but I don’t think it’s very practical in its current iteration. Time will tell how the robots in our homes evolve and what other tasks they will handle
It might be overkill because all of the top of the line robot vacuum cleaners are program to avoid stuff like that.
Avoiding is great, but getting clutter off the floor is even better. Especially for people with disabilities who either can't bend down, or have neurological issues that make doing chores significantly more difficult.
Bridget I've been watching you for well over 10 years...
sounds creepy when you say it like that
@@SaltAndVi yeah, stalker alert
Roborock vacuum says: “eww this socks smells bad” 😷
What's the bin and battery capacity then?
Doesn't matter because they said it is a prototype.
The biggest issue with these fancy ai robot vacuums is the price i'm not paying 1,000$ for a vacuum. I wont even pay 400
people were scared of 300$ phones and now we are running with 1400$ phones like normal
This is start of the Jetsons we shall name her Rosie
Our tech mom 🌌💟
Interesting idea. However, I'd wait for the third or so iteration. RR aren't known for good Obstacle avoidance
ota update should be better?
I'm working on modular 3-D printed artificial organs. I wonder how long our brains could last in a jar with indestructible organs?
Ngl, it looks like a Skutter from Red Dwarf.
Don’t forget you can enjoy full screen ads in the app after your $1500+ purchase!
Yeah no, wasted space on a gimmick inside an already small device
Gimmick
Tell me you don't comprehend what a gimmick is without telling me you don't comprehend what a gimmick is.
🤣🤣🤣
Enabling the messy partner and kids!!!
What about doormats.
This looks like a bunch of parts that can break easily.
I agree.
I didn’t realize it was April 1st already b
Gonna break so easily
Can it do LEGO?
People that throw them on the floor can not afford this
So socks go in the dog toy basket so they can eat them later?
Until we can have bots like in Westworld or Subservience I'm not interested.
Legos when
How many pets are about to be strangled?
Very advanced. In other words, very expensive.
just iphone price
my hand can do faster for free
Only works if you are there.
Vacuum: Put the cat out...
If it can get dog toys I am sold
if you have socks around your house you need an intervention, Horder alert... It needs to do more than just socks... I am pretty sure it will be an arm and a leg the price without the functionality of an arm and a leg.
Kids, pets not everyone is a loner
Useless! Move around and pick your stuff! You will be happy with doing something.
*sniff sniff* oh yes Feeeet
Sleeping cats on the floor i pray for you
Hopefully you don't have a puppy 💩
Jeez CNET charging for product spotlights?
Video is free.
now humans are getting lazy lmaoo
Ai ai yo 😅
Will it pick up hard socks? Asking for a friend
Great... it's going to pick up your sleeping cat.
probably won't be popular with cats, especially those who use the vacuum cleaner as a taxi.
733 million people on earth go hungry every day, but at least humanity has a $1500+ gadget to pick up socks and dog toys.
The company has nothing to do with food.
☠️😭😭
At least you did your part by complaining about hunger on a robot vacuum video, what a guy
If my comment was on a hunger charity video, you wouldn’t have read it. Correct?
Calm down, you don’t have to buy it.
But can it pick up dog poo?
It can avoid it.
The maybe the best and saddest revolutionary daily life technology I have ever seem... but it's sad that they need to invent such technology which shows how Not diligent we are.... did we actually "evolved" into anything better than ever in human history??!
No one asked for this, i wish migo robotics didn't disappear.
Sock or not?
Is CNET now The Onion?
the world is the onion now 😭😭

Ok, this is getting stupid now
More useless junk.
