I JUST came aboard the Friedman express, took possession of my JJ Junior today and, after everything from Mesa´s to Peavey´s, to Randall´s and several other´s, these audial machines are simply guitar amplification on a different (and in my opinion) higher level. You don´t play THROUGH these amps, you PLAY these amps. The harmonic complexity, the clarity, feel, & TONE are so inspiring, you find yourself not thinking about ¨why is that?¨, ¨what´s causing this?¨, and you just let yourself PLAY (!) which at the end of the day is exactly what a great piece of musical gear is supposed to do, set you FREE! He´s given us guitar players a lot to be happy about, I want Mr. Friedman to take good care of himself so that he´s around for as long as possible for his family and us fans!

@@guitarcleveland I live on Disability and got a 4 year loan through Sweetwater, 0% interest, and bought a Friedman BE-50 Deluxe, with a Friedman 4x12 speaker cabinet, with 2 celestion greenbacks on top, and 2 celestion vintage 30's on the bottom. The cabinet is specifically voiced for his 100 and 50 watt tube amps, and has the best sounding tone combination around. If I can afford a Friedman Rig, living on lifetime disability, I assure you, you can too. It's all about how badly you want it. No better amps out there, with better tone, than his BE Series amps....BE-50 Deluxe, BE-100, and BE-100 Deluxe, that just recently came out. With all of the amazing tonal options on his amps, they're worth every penny that he charges. The demos sound good on here, but if you play one in person, it wil blow you away, with the sound quality, and available features, I assure you. Take the plunge. You won't regret it.

@@guitarcleveland Yes they are if you think about it for 5 seconds or more: the BE100 has three separate channels. You do understand that's a 3-in-1 amp. You can't even get a set of sports wheels on your car for that money. I HATE when people say "hey that's a nice house" or "a nice car" when all that is not necessary. You can live in a shed and still be happy as long as you have good tone.

How does everyone get so much gain on the BEOD 50 Deluxe channel. I bought one of these used from Guitar Center and it sounds so weak. The only way I can get close to this gain is to max out the gain with the master at eight and the effects return cranked. The switch is on M in the back and I need a SD-1 in front of the amp to get it to bite? I'm sure its user error, but gonna have to return it if I can't figure this out. I see people getting high gain with the master on 2...? how? Thanks everybody.

      I have the smalllbox limited
It needs no effects. Best amp ever. Moved my way up from the PT to the Smallbox to the Smallbox limited from wildwood guitars. But it takes any pedal you throw at it. Another great little lunchbox amp
Is the Egnater tweaker 15 head. Same thing. Put up
the gain and throw an overdrive or even a distortion pedal and it can handle it beautifully. And the Friedman is quiet. The Egnater is quiet too. Plus Friedman has great master controls.

The Pleasant St' Mafia no they are not made in China. They are made in California. Most of them are hand-wired. They are great amps, superbly well built and are guaranteed for life.

These amps sound good but in reality, unless you're playing huge stadiums, amps this powerful, in my opinion are unusable, simply because they are just too bloody loud for anyone who is just playing in clubs in their towns. Don't get me wrong, these amps are awesome but like I said in reality most people do not need this kind of power behind them to play a club. And what is even more laughable is people who buy high powered amps just to play in their house basement. Because as everybody knows, most amps require you to really crank them up to get the goods out of them. Then I have also seen people on RUclips who will sit down and crucify a Dumble amp by doing a demo at bedroom level and to boot, they couldn't play guitar if you held a gun to their heads. You want to see great demoes, take a tip from fellow Canadian Phil X. This guy knows how to play and demo any amp or guitar.

michael newell known about Phil X for many years. When nobody else did re: Fretted Americana. FYI most of us will never be famous and the majority of us are home guitarists. So should we only play guitar for others or is it OK for us to play for the love of guitar since I personally started as a child for me. I don’t give a shit about performing. I certainly hope I can play by now. I don’t have anything to prove to you. I’ve been playing for 30 years since I’m a little kid yes the amps are too loud for our home. What do you want me to do about it I’m not a builder I don’t want to play in a stadium. I don’t like performing either. I don’t enjoy it. Btw the 20 watt pt amp was louder than the 50 watt small box limited. The master volume is better in the SB. If you’re playing to be a performer or for someone else you’re playing for the wrong reasons. And for people who say oh people playing in their basements by the way we don’t even have a basement and I don’t think I ever played in a bedroom either, are wasting their talent why? Is the love of guitar for yourself and a waste for your friends and family. think what you want. I agree with you there a lot of people on RUclips that cannot play and probably should not be on there and why do you even have to put yourself on RUclips?

That's just YOUR reality Micheal- so just speak for yourself.
Just because YOU can't control a 100 watt amp does not make it unusable for the rest of us.
If you can't handle the volume or the weight then go acoustic and get out of the electric guitar game.
The lack of headroom on lunch box sized amps makes them useless to me.
And citing you tube demos done by amateurs as a your reference point is what's laughable here.
The true pros have no problem riding the lightning of full size amps- and nether do I.
Learn how to play electric guitar properly and stop blaming powerful amps for your lack of skill and experience.

it's probably greg's style that is affecting you....but I'm not sure...I'm sure greg doesn't know any mastodon songs....not that he needs to, but it's a different style....I love the butterslax amp...

I played the BE100 and loved it, but I don't need another $4k amp. And the creepy, pervy names struck me a bit funny, not a good funny either. Like it was named by one of those guys on a list somewhere.

+Fred Garvin I don't see how the names are creepy so much as just humorous, after all, with pedals like the ''Big muff'', and things of that nature, guitar gear seems to have a rep for having ridiculous names.

the guitar is a sexy instrument..."pervy" names sound quirky and awesome to cool people who are living the rock lifestyle. Not sure why you feel the need to spread negativity on Dave's amp videos. Lighten up man, life's not that bad you know...
