I JUST came aboard the Friedman express, took possession of my JJ Junior today and, after everything from Mesa´s to Peavey´s, to Randall´s and several other´s, these audial machines are simply guitar amplification on a different (and in my opinion) higher level. You don´t play THROUGH these amps, you PLAY these amps. The harmonic complexity, the clarity, feel, & TONE are so inspiring, you find yourself not thinking about ¨why is that?¨, ¨what´s causing this?¨, and you just let yourself PLAY (!) which at the end of the day is exactly what a great piece of musical gear is supposed to do, set you FREE! He´s given us guitar players a lot to be happy about, I want Mr. Friedman to take good care of himself so that he´s around for as long as possible for his family and us fans!

I own the BE-100 and I just wanted to clarify that the amp is actually the quietist amp I have. I am running it through a Furman Power Conditioner but I run all my amps through it and the Friedman is still the quietest between my Bogner 102B my Boogies and Marshalls. It is just a GREAT amp.

How does everyone get so much gain on the BEOD 50 Deluxe channel. I bought one of these used from Guitar Center and it sounds so weak. The only way I can get close to this gain is to max out the gain with the master at eight and the effects return cranked. The switch is on M in the back and I need a SD-1 in front of the amp to get it to bite? I'm sure its user error, but gonna have to return it if I can't figure this out. I see people getting high gain with the master on 2...? how? Thanks everybody.

@@guitarcleveland I live on Disability and got a 4 year loan through Sweetwater, 0% interest, and bought a Friedman BE-50 Deluxe, with a Friedman 4x12 speaker cabinet, with 2 celestion greenbacks on top, and 2 celestion vintage 30's on the bottom. The cabinet is specifically voiced for his 100 and 50 watt tube amps, and has the best sounding tone combination around. If I can afford a Friedman Rig, living on lifetime disability, I assure you, you can too. It's all about how badly you want it. No better amps out there, with better tone, than his BE Series amps....BE-50 Deluxe, BE-100, and BE-100 Deluxe, that just recently came out. With all of the amazing tonal options on his amps, they're worth every penny that he charges. The demos sound good on here, but if you play one in person, it wil blow you away, with the sound quality, and available features, I assure you. Take the plunge. You won't regret it.

@@guitarcleveland Yes they are if you think about it for 5 seconds or more: the BE100 has three separate channels. You do understand that's a 3-in-1 amp. You can't even get a set of sports wheels on your car for that money. I HATE when people say "hey that's a nice house" or "a nice car" when all that is not necessary. You can live in a shed and still be happy as long as you have good tone.

They all sound great but I’d rather hear them without effects so we can hear exactly what the amp does. Unless, the effects came after the amp

I don't think they have any effects on ,not even reverb

      I have the smalllbox limited
It needs no effects. Best amp ever. Moved my way up from the PT to the Smallbox to the Smallbox limited from wildwood guitars. But it takes any pedal you throw at it. Another great little lunchbox amp
Is the Egnater tweaker 15 head. Same thing. Put up
the gain and throw an overdrive or even a distortion pedal and it can handle it beautifully. And the Friedman is quiet. The Egnater is quiet too. Plus Friedman has great master controls.

The Pleasant St' Mafia no they are not made in China. They are made in California. Most of them are hand-wired. They are great amps, superbly well built and are guaranteed for life.

holy fuck the tones too much watts for me, they would sell much more with a power switcher

Most of them have master volumes and still cook at bedroom levels

    • @AmzeehFTW
      @AmzeehFTW 8 лет назад +3

Mark V 10 watts mode more than a 1/16 of the total volume and my room seems to explode in the first setting, i only can crank like 6/16 gigging

+AmzeehFTW Friedman master volume is pretty damn good. I wouldn't rule it out based on the wattage.

+AmzeehFTW The Friedman master volume circuit works so well you can talk over these amps and still get all that glorious tone. I know- I own some- from kids sleeping in the room above me to full tilt gig volume- same amp- same tone. It's the only amp I own that I can say that about. All the others (except the wonderful BluGuitar Amp1) are much too loud to gig with- and don't sound good at all at bedroom volume. Even my Marshall YJM with the powersoak doesn't sound nearly as good without being fully cranked. The Friedman amps- all sound amazing at ANY volume and don't lose the character or "feel" when they're turned down. Honestly the only amp I play through any more and I own a LOT of good vintage and modern amps. Friedman beats them all. Mesa Lonestar- Fender '66 Super Reverb- '59 Bassman- Marshall YJM and '76 JMP- Hatcher Super 50- and many more. My Friedmans' beat them all, and the beautiful thing about them is with all that available gain- every one of them cleans up beautifully with just a roll of the volume knob on my guitar. No switching required!

I played the BE100 and loved it, but I don't need another $4k amp. And the creepy, pervy names struck me a bit funny, not a good funny either. Like it was named by one of those guys on a list somewhere.

+Fred Garvin I don't see how the names are creepy so much as just humorous, after all, with pedals like the ''Big muff'', and things of that nature, guitar gear seems to have a rep for having ridiculous names.

Fred Garvin buy used. What’s wrong with the smallbox name? Try it you’ll get over the games. Btw. Pink taco 🌮 is a restaurant in L.A. dirty mind? Uptight a bit?

the guitar is a sexy instrument..."pervy" names sound quirky and awesome to cool people who are living the rock lifestyle. Not sure why you feel the need to spread negativity on Dave's amp videos. Lighten up man, life's not that bad you know...
