My bike was also stolen.. here in Maharashtra the insurance company needs punchnama report by police to process insurance and provide amount equal to the IDV value of the vehicle. For that report police asked me a bribe of 1000 rs, I somehow managed it in 500. Then after all this the insurance company took it's own sweet time to process the claim.
Can u please a suggest a tourer motorcycle which can be good on the highways for long tours and can be modified for spiti/Leh roads comfortable for a couple...The dominar and speed 400 are on my list but Bajaj service woes and the maintenance cost of triumph pegging us back...
My bike meet with an accident which involved a 12 year old kid. I was going to my office when the kid suddenly ran across the street and unfortunately my bike handle bar hit him even after me applying the brakes.. I took the kid to the hospital as he was injured and paid for his treatment and still I had to pay a fine of 5000 to the police as accident fine.By the way the seize my license and bike key and asked me to get MVI( motor vehicle inspection) report from DTO where the officer again took a bribe of 1000 saying that he did it as soon as possible so I need to pay him. Again in the police station the called the parents of the kid n me and ask them if they want to settle it..Evn the parents knew that it was their fault to leave the kids on the road alone running..But still I had to pay fine .. now I realize why people don’t help accident victims.
I felt very scared and felt very bad how he was treated by the government. Also understand how victam will be treated and looted to get his own vehicle. So Vikas do you recommend any protection like GPS trackers or Android or apple tags? any other options to secure our beloved vehicles. If so please make a video or reply.
