'Taiwah' ... has artifacts, to create a feel of 'China away from China'... wth eye catching beautiful soup bowls... Loved the humor cracked at 'Zaika'...😊 also, the 'Chicken egg roll' sells like hot cakes, very popular amongst office goers, who flock these joints, post office hours, for a filling evening snack, while way back home... in fact, a very common sight... At last... most of the bakeries in Bengal, sell their specific mouth watering specialties not to be found elsewhere... And yaa,... the rossogolla of Siliguri... the mitha paan... for sure is a delight, after a wholesome meal!

Lovely representation in terms of food 😊🥰. But you should have taken sir to yolmo restaurant, Sikkim restaurant,nine ten resturant which are among the oldest in Siliguri aswell .I'm not sure about nine ten resturant but my mother used to go with my grandparents.
Well covered in short time but lots to explore here. Next time try to visit New Ranjit Hotel and Maharaja Restaurant for delicious South and North Indian dishes.
Yeah but Ranjit & Maharaja don't serve local or Bengali or Nepali dishes.They serve Pan India Vegetarian dishes which are common in every city or town.

It's not that a restaurant which serves regional cuisines to be visited only but the others for their contribution to the evolution of the food culture of the city as well.

Courses ki tauheen na kare Anubhav bhai. Starting with fish is like eating curd rice before sambar and rasam (in a south Indian menu). Pahle tita like neem or kerela (to initiate the digestive juices), phir Jinga posto (vegies), phir daal and alu bhaja, phir fish. No shortcuts in a Bengali menu. 😄
