Hey what were you going to say about the black Mercedes
You was so amazing in Sopranos.
What’s this the fucking UN NOW???
You're my favorite character on Sopranos, Johnny Sack is the absolute best
If you read this Vincent i wanto you to know you're the only guy who could steal a scene from James Gandolfini, and that's not an easy accomplishment
Great guy, humble and classy. My brother said hello to him in a NY restaurant, then sat down to have dinner with his girl. A few moments later, Mr. Curatola sent over drinks for their meal. Later, he waved goodbye to my brother as he left the restaurant. They had never met before. Salute!
Great anecdote
Nice story
Wow what a guy.
Actors of his era were in a class by themselves, men’s men with class, respect & family morals
Very allegorical.

Mr Curatola was in New Orleans and I was working at this Hotel in the French Quarters. I recognized him and he winked and asked if I could let him know where the newspapers were so I had someone bring it to him. Later on that day the Bellman let me know he left me $20. He’s such a class act and a real gentleman. Salute

Many years ago as a huge Sopranos fan, I remember emailing Vince via his old website, asking questions and letting him know how much I enjoyed the show. He would always graciously respond within a day. Class act!

Why should I trust you again after you leave me HOLDING MY CAHCK IN MY HAND!
Johnny Sack for me was the best character in the Sopranos, vicious and tough but also human. A character to be really feared.
Amen. And Johnny Sack was also loyal, esp. to his fat wife.
He was probably my first or second fave character on the show
The only one of those mafia guys truly loyal to his wife and family.
He was the first character that stuck on me years ago, and rewatching the whole series last year I realized I was right.
Sounds like Tony

This guy was one of my personnel, too. Followed me around everywhere.
Same here. "To me she is beautiful" almost got a tear from that line.
I ADORED how Johnny Sack defended his wife in front of all these people, while he himself was not happy with her weight. That's a man!
Her weight never bothered him, though. From Season 4, Episode 4: "The Weight" -
"I'll you though, I never had a problem with Ginny's weight. To me she's beautiful. 'Rubenesque.' That woman is my life. And to think she's being mocked..."
This is how you try!?

No one could of played Johnny sac better than Vincent curatola
The most incredible character of the sopranos. Johnny sack was such a loveable villain. Just enough quirks that made him so real. No one could have played him better than this man.
"build up anxiety like you wouldn't believe" and here I thought I was the only one who did that lol! Great interview!
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Vince can tell a story! I like this guy he doesn't interrupt his guests like lots of other interviewers do.
He does interrupt multiple times haha. But he does that to sort of give leading questions, not to say stupid jokes or whatever
I LOVE VINCENT!!!! MOST UNDERRATED ACTOR ON THE SOPRANOS!!! HE WAS A BOSS AND HIS INTER ACTING WITH JAMES G IT WAS MAGICAL !!!! SALUTE FROM ALL YOUR ITALIAN CANADIAN FRIENDS !!!!!!
Vince has an amazing ability to recall memories. Wow
“What happened to this thing? We bend more rules than the Catholic Church!” Johnny Sack, season 4 episode “THE WEIGHT”.
Its not worth repeating....
This guy was brilliant in Sopranos. Man, Premium Pete is such a great interviewer. Great content as usual.

The more I watch Vincent the more I love this guy.
Johnny Sack became my favorite character in The Sopranos because he was a intimidating mobster! Vincent Curatola did an amazing performance as Johnny Sack . I was sad they killed him off when Johnny Sack got cancer .
Beautiful interview! Curatola is a legend and a great story teller. Thank you so much for this.
I will say- Johnny Sacs had the most fitting death on the entire show. It was just so perfect that he died from lung cancer considering he was always chain smoking cigarettes and as he mentioned that Johnny Sac was never rushed by anyone, neither is cancer... the disease slowly took time to develop and then it explodes and gives you a feeling that something bad could happen at any moment. It almost mirrors his personality in a way. Just very befitting for the methodical character that he was.
Also it was a nice change of pace, usually it's just gun murders 😂
Of course there were many many great actors in The Sopranos. But with mister Curatola, "Johnny Sack", my heart started pumping faster each time HE appeared. His eyes.. dear Lord, these silences..uff.. there's a WAR going on behind these eyes, yet he smiles...and then his love for his wife, anything any woman can only dream of..Mister Curatola, my hat's off to you!
Johnny Sack was my FAVE. I love how smooth and poised he was.
I love how Vincent curatola has this inherent self assured coolness 😎

Agreed 💯
Is it strange that I've watched this video 4-5 times? I just love the flow of the conversation. Pete doesn't get nearly enough credit and views. Videos with Richie, Furio, Johnny Sack and Paulie are pure gold.
What a pleasure to spend 2 hours with such an amazing actor and listen to the man behind the character. There's a reason why the Suprano's is now revered as a high point in TV drama and Vincent Curatola had a major contribution to this success. The casting in the Suprano's was part of the genius of the series and the writers made the story magic.
Finally... a lengthy interview with my favorite character in The Sopranos, Johnny Sack! Thank you Pete for this amazing interview! (Also, the one with Federico "Furio" Castelluccio!) I can't get enough of Vince. What a wonderful person...Beautiful heart... Very inspiring... I'm smiling the whole f**king 2 hours. Kudos to you Pete!
Thank you! 🙏🏼❤️
This was a good interview. What beautiful gift this actor is leaving the world with. Good work
Incredible interview. Props to Curatola for being so generous with these stories, this was a real treat to watch.
What an incredible actor and storyteller. Cemented his legacy with one role and performed it perfectly.
Pete brings up a good point. My Italian Dad never shook my hand, hugged me or said he loved me. Not his fault; that's the way HE was raised and so-on down the family tree... a family trait I guess. But we had a mutual knowing of great love and respect for each other. I knew my Dad loved his children dearly. He showed it constantly. His family was his world . And he knew we loved him greatly. I remember when I left home for the first time for college out of state, he waved goodbye and didn't say anything as he was about ready to cry because he didn't know any other way. But I already knew how proud he was and how much he loved me. So, some of us were raised to not verbally express ourselves in difficult emotional situations. When my dad was dying, it was impossible to hold myself together and find the words to say goodbye and say how much I loved him and how he meant the world to me, regrettably so. But I know he knew anyway. Miss him so much. Great interviews Pete. I saw a half dozen in the last couple of days. Good stuff. Thank you.
Sending blessings and light 🙏🏼❤️
Some of the best scenes in The Sopranos are with James and Vinnie. There are intense scenes where there is a battle of the titans where Vinnie holds his own against one of the best actors of his generation, James Gandalfini. Sure Johnny Sacrimoni was a great part on a great show but Vinnie nailed it. You can't imagine anyone else in the role. I remember that scene where Johnny, in prison, has his brother in law tell him the value of his property and that his car will be sold to Chris Moltisanti. The look on his face, real pissed and disappointed, disgusted at the same time. It was so well played. Vinnie also had some great scenes with the late great Sydney Pollack. This just showed how well he played against other great actors.
Played the only character Tony Soprano respected. Was in the last scenes with Sydney Pollack who played an inmate doctor in the Sopranos. Ironic was in the scenes, Vincent's character was dying when it was actually Pollack who was terminally ill.
At 18:46..."Long Island City....that's like Mars to me." I totally busted up and spit out my coffee, I was laughing so hard over that one! I could literally sit for hours listening to this man, even if he just read a Maytag washing machine manual.
I think Tony respected him so much because John would always stick to his principles where Tony would fall short, and he recognized that. Admired it.
@@LandscapingAdvantageThe only reason Tony acquiesced to John was out of fear....knowing that the Lupertazzi Family could easily overwhelm what Carmine Sr. referred to, in the context of the Jersey mob, as a "glorified crew." The Lupertazzi clan had easily 3 to 4 times the soldiers and strong-arm muscle. No way in Hell that Tony Soprano could take them on and he knew it.
If Tony respected anyone it was Carmine Lupertazzi.

The way he relates the experience of his mother's funeral and how he used that memory and the emotion for his acting gives me goosebumps every time. Johnny sack could be the most intense character in a scene without saying a word and you get that same feeling here, just so much raw emotion clearly simmering in this individual.
I have to say Johnny Sac,
This meeting is quite dignified. 🙌
