I wonder how many times he decided to say "Alan isn't the best, he's not the fastest. He's forgettable." like we get it. Stop dragging this hard working man
I'm not really a fan of Allan Bower's gymnastics, but honestly the commentators are bordering on the disrespectful. I don't think it's necessary to remind us how he's solid but not exciting or particularly gifted EVERY DAMN TIME he does a routine.
Ballettomane I actually don’t feel like they did a bad job. I don’t watch gymnastics a lot so for me the commentator was giving identity to the athletes. Bower is a perfect fundamentalist, while everyone else goes for fancy things and gets points deducted, he does the opposite.
If u love gymnastics u gotta have a smile on your face after watching this meet! The passion and energy they showed, especially in those last 2 rotations was incredible! I've always been a huge Sam Mikulak fan since I first saw him as a freshman at Michigan. I hope he can hit all 6 again in the AA finals in Doha!! Fingers crossed! 🤞
I learned about men's gymnastics only last Olympics, although I've watched women's gymnastics for since my early teens. I must say, men's floor exercises are much more entertaining. Donovan Bailey was exciting to watch. I really liked Alan Bowers performance on the bars.
giocurve okay, I though I was the only to notice that! He is the struggle bus for all of his international competition. He seems to be all talk until the big games and he's performs like a 4 year old. He can suck it!
I hate it for him. He has had a seeming mental block in big international competitions like Jeremy Abbott of figure skating. You know they have the skill and talent, but it’s like the pressure crushes them.
I really like Allan Bower. I think he’s great. My favorite gymnast of all time is Chris Waller. My current favorite is Sam Mikulak. I’m really rooting for him to pull it out in international competition.
Tim daggett is the commentator who consistently bashes on Allan, Tim daggett is an Olympian himself and constantly feels the need to put other down instead of just educating the general public on how immensely difficult some of the gymnastics is and how well they’re gymnastics is being done
So proud of Sam and the other guys. Once they clean some things up, they definitely can contend for a team and individual medals. Good luck at World's!
Thank God they did better night 2. I was getting worried there. I don't know how well they'll stack up against Russia, China, and Japan, but there's Hope for bronze in a team competition. And hell, if Sam got tonight's scores at the 2017 world AA he would have gotten gold.
Obviously Tim knows gymnastics better than most people but to say that no other AAer can produce a parallel bar routine like Sam's is a bit of stretch. There's former champions like Verniaiev, Uchimura, Chaopan. Add in Manrique and Belyavskiy (all have gone over 15) and that's already a crowded group.
They’re just picking on Bower cause he’s such a stud.. lol Real talk though he’s very good looking & good at gymnastics.👌🏼 Sam will always be daddy though 😂
CarSVernon I'm not a gymnast so I can't give you an official answer, but I'm guessing it's an extra precaution to ensure their parts don't accidentally fall out and get exposed during their performance.
Long pants are for all events accept floor and vault, it looks more clean with these pants on these evens, on floor and vault shorts are more suitable because of the quick movements and no socks because they’d slip on those events
There is a different between gymnastics body and heavy weight body builder. I prefer gymnastics body types. I found weight lifting type of body look not pleasing than gymnastics body. Gymnastics body look proportion.
Terry Gannon's the best "host" (non-gymnast) commentator out there. He is awesome in figure skating, too and has been covering it since fall of 95 at Skate America.
What amazes me is how much less musculature Yul Moldauer has compared to most of the other men. I see much less muscle mass in many of the newer competitors. Look at Japan's team with Kenzo and Uchimura.
i think it's mens now. i used to love when womens was mixed with grace and power but now it only seems like power. it takes something away to what it used to be. nastia is a good person to have because she was an example of it.
Its funny hearing the commentators because I'm like ... ok let's take this into perspective and see you try it haha. They focus so much on the errors. If I was a gymnast I would never rewatch these unless it was muted lol
I wonder who came up with gymnastics like “I want you to do a twisty twist and a twirly twirl on two handlebars and that’s the hokey pokey and you turn it all around”
Hello am Kenneth from Ghana and my brother know how to do it but we want a coach to train him more for competition because he said that's what he want to do so please help me if you know any coach who can help us thank you
1:33:49 When you roll up to the club and you see some of your boys. 1:34:23 When you and your wingman walk up to the club like, "The Alphas' here motherfuckers"
Good on Sam for winning a national championship without watering down his difficulty or making any major mistakes, but these titles have lost their pizzazz. If he's gonna come away with an international victory, he can't keep doing the bare minimum. He's been chewed up and spit out for far too long. GET IT TOGETHER. Given the fact he's already had two failed Olympic runs, maybe this'll finally be a wake-up call for him.
I haven't followed gymnastics closely in a while, so sorry if this sounds obvious, but can you expound on the "he can't keep doing the bare minimum?" part?
Nate Dalo Certainly. It just means he needs to up his game, show that he can contend with the best in the world. For one, he needs to include some major upgrades in his routines. Also, he needs to keep his head in the game and not psych himself out. Too many times on the international stage, the American men have started off strongly in qualifications, but then make make silly mistakes in the finals and ultimately finish off the podium. They have been their own worst enemy for far too long now, and they need a breakthrough!
Well Alan Bower is good enough to be compared with the top guys thats why its seems that hes only mentioning negative things about his routines. He wouldnt do it with the less known gymnasts. Altough I Have to say that I found the comentator respectless as well when Hamm did his Airflares. He qas saying negative things about breakdancers. There is no reason for that. Breakdancer invented two moves that made it into the Code Of Points
They're so tired. Now they're hosting some cake championship show. Blegh. They always make it all about them instead of about the sport. I understand that they're trying to make it interesting and draw in crowds, but they've successfully scared me away and I watch CBC's coverage instead now.
Gymnastics has a much stronger reputation as a rigorous sport than figure skating. Women have 4 separate events and men have 6 in artistic gymnastics. In figure skating, there is only the one event which is equivalent to the floor exercise of gymnastics.
I love women gymnastics but the way the men celebrate after a routine is way more entertaining
You basically can just say it, it's kind of like a brotherly frat of alphas and that's hot.
nah, i think women's celebrations are way better. :)
@@legalfictionnaturalfact3969 such a hater! LEAVE!!!
I wonder how many times he decided to say "Alan isn't the best, he's not the fastest. He's forgettable." like we get it. Stop dragging this hard working man
this is what women in beauty pageants get constantly.
no kidding the guys a jerk...
Men’s gymnastics is one of the most amazing things to watch. It’s so fascinating and at the same time makes me feel super inadequate lmao
I'm not really a fan of Allan Bower's gymnastics, but honestly the commentators are bordering on the disrespectful. I don't think it's necessary to remind us how he's solid but not exciting or particularly gifted EVERY DAMN TIME he does a routine.

Gesus XLux yea he goes the safe route which is the best route tbh
he is good, imagine how amazing he would have been as a female! :)

"What I love about allan... *proceeds to tear down everything that has to do with him*" LOOOL

I like men's floor better also
I wish Sam Mikulak performs great on the International Competitions. He always seem to perform well only during Nationals.
giocurve okay, I though I was the only to notice that!
I feel like he doesn't have confidence and maybe too self-conscious when he sees the Asian gymnasts perform.
I agree it'll be interesting to see how he does@Worlds if he can stay healthy till then
Can someone tell me where is Donell Whittenburg. Did he retire. ?????
I see hot guy on thumbnail i clicked

Thank you so much for uploading. Can't wait for the women's senior day 2 broadcast 🌹
I really like Allan Bower. I think he’s great. My favorite gymnast of all time is Chris Waller. My current favorite is Sam Mikulak. I’m really rooting for him to pull it out in international competition.
Can someone please explain to me why everyone is bashing on Bower? Like I genuinely wanna know

Go USA Women's and Men's Gymnastics Team.
Much better days for the guys! Good job for Sam and Yul coming back!
Thanks so much for posting. Really delightful results!
Obviously Tim knows gymnastics better than most people but to say that no other AAer can produce a parallel bar routine like Sam's is a bit of stretch.

Let's not forget King Kohei
Annonymous5411 They DID include Kohei. They referred to him by his last name, Uchimura.
At the European championship at least three of the Russian gymnasts have scored well over 15.00 and also one of the brits.
he probably said that out of excitement
A lot of passion and energy.
I wish men had music on there floor routines
me too!!! maybe we can email gymnastics!! I am a male gymnast
Noooooo
I don’t want music in my routine
@@crosbylee6782 lol
GAYYYY
Yul was saying hi to his siblings.. Lol and thanks for their support
*Chris Crocker voice*: LEAVE ALAN BOWER ALONE 😭
exactly...Amanda
I love watching this over and over btw someday I’ll be there
gymnasts seem like the coolest people. They are great to party with.
Tim and Nastia ❤️❤️
....and that's how it's done!!! Go Sam and Yul!! Keep on pushing, Donothan and Donnell; all you OTC guys; don't give up!🔥👏🙌❤️
Thanks for posting this! My DVR didn't record day 2 :(
oh my goodness sam is killing me looking like that and performing LIKE THAT
Why do they keep trashing Bower lmao
Men's gymnastics sound just as fun as women's! Especially that you feel like you're flying in the sky with the American Flag in the BG
Nobody:
Tim: gymnastics 101 fly high and stick the landing
They’re just picking on Bower cause he’s such a stud.. lol Real talk though he’s very good looking & good at gymnastics.👌🏼 Sam will always be daddy though 😂
ok legit question- why do men have to wear the onesie thing on all non-feet skills but women wear the same thing for all?
CarSVernon I'm not a gymnast so I can't give you an official answer, but I'm guessing it's an extra precaution to ensure their parts don't accidentally fall out and get exposed during their performance.
CarSVernon it’s just a gymnastics tradition I’m a gymnast so I was told that it just always been that way it’s just a tradition
I hate that the female gymnasts are forced to have their butts hanging out
Long pants are for all events accept floor and vault, it looks more clean with these pants on these evens, on floor and vault shorts are more suitable because of the quick movements and no socks because they’d slip on those events
@Gaius Julius Caesar 😑
I like the reaction of Yoder on his last routine.👏👏👏👍👍👍
THis is the best we got!
There is a different between gymnastics body and heavy weight body builder. I prefer gymnastics body types. I found weight lifting type of body look not pleasing than gymnastics body. Gymnastics body look proportion.
I really like the new commentator :)
Terry Gannon is great! He's been doing ice skating for years! Nice to see him cross over
Terry Gannon's the best "host" (non-gymnast) commentator out there. He is awesome in figure skating, too and has been covering it since fall of 95 at Skate America.
Watching this back now, Tim basically said why Allan NEVER makes World or Olympic teams.........
Really good job, Yul Moldauer.
I'm watching because of the muscles
That floor routine at 47:53 WOW!
Tim, do you know who started (unofficially) the open-palm ring strength trend?
who?
What amazes me is how much less musculature Yul Moldauer has compared to most of the other men. I see much less muscle mass in many of the newer competitors. Look at Japan's team with Kenzo and Uchimura.
Alien Soup Genetics
I can’t watch the livestream... it says it’s not available in my country and I live in the US☹️
Fun fun fun I love mastics boys and girls go okc!!
Ryuiop juciui
gymnast men are so cute in my eyes 😍
Sam has the best physique among them.
His jawline can cut diamond. He has the best mesomorph genetics you can hope to have as a natural.
Sam Makulak should be in the next superhero movie.
I don't know what's more entertaining mens gymnastics or women's?
Comment section decide ig
i think it's mens now. i used to love when womens was mixed with grace and power but now it only seems like power. it takes something away to what it used to be. nastia is a good person to have because she was an example of it.
Mackenzie and Annie lover men’s
Colin vanwicklen looks like KJ Apa from Riverdale.
I hope Akash Modi, David Pochinka, Sam Mikulak and William Ernard go to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Please choose Donathan Bailey!!!!!
Brian Patterson I was so impressed by him
AndreaJoyce always with the "Can you describe what was going through your mind?"
Beuh why did they commentator always say gymNAST?!
Sophie X. It's not called gym-NICE-tics. Duh?
Good

Imagine that girl looking back at the footage and just seeing sam behind her swinging his arms around
lol
what did yul moldauer score on floor night 2?
Its funny hearing the commentators because I'm like ... ok let's take this into perspective and see you try it haha. They focus so much on the errors. If I was a gymnast I would never rewatch these unless it was muted lol
the commentaters are all olympic gold medal gymnasts so they actually can do it.
Is bodyweight training better than lifting weights?
For gymnastics it is
Can I learn that in 3 months
I wonder who came up with gymnastics like “I want you to do a twisty twist and a twirly twirl on two handlebars and that’s the hokey pokey and you turn it all around”
Nope Bailey did not have a 'virtually error' free floor ex. Why would you say that?
Can someone tell me where is Donell Whittenburg. Did he retire. ?????
Hello am Kenneth from Ghana and my brother know how to do it but we want a coach to train him more for competition because he said that's what he want to do so please help me if you know any coach who can help us thank you
I know nothing about gymnastics scoring and I'm wondering why the one guy is so far ahead with 80 something and the next highest score is like -1.
one of them looked like harry styles, one looked like jacob elordi, and one looked like pat from popular mmos
I am going to state meet today
Sam your my idol see you at Olympic ❤️❤️❤️❤️😅🤣😂✌️🌎
1:33:49 When you roll up to the club and you see some of your boys.

this shit is crazy

Agreed!
I hate commentators dragging this gymnasts as if they could do it themselves
they are Olympian’s- Nastia and Tim LOL.
These announcers I swear😭
Why do men’s gymnastics look so much easier compared to the women’s especially their floor routines
How does it look easier? Men do harder vaults, and they do harder floor routines.
it’s not easier-
the men make it look easy its actually much harder elements
I’ve met Sam mikulak
Sigh, USA Men's gymnastics, just doesn't excite me as much as the women's do.

damn they're good-looking. 7:11 27:05 54:45 1:49:12 They probably get all the girls

Men’s floor routines are BORING
No music?
No graceful transitions?
Basically no dancing?
Why are you here then? Go watch women routines and stop hating fam! God bless you and seek help
Mmm yummy.
1:54 tim dagget looks fat since he ain't a gymnast anymore. Also a commentator who over reacts. Just sayin'.
they don't like Allan Bowers even the judges it shows they really been judging him hard those scores ugh
