Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and The Wire: 10/10.
Absolutely masterpieces
They are all fantastic for sure but the wire and got are ahead of sopranos and breaking bad for me🤷♂️sopranos and breaking would be firmly in my top ten but not quite top five

Yeah I might pick the wire over the sopranos but I certainly wouldn't fight too hard about it. They are the best two shows ever. I think maybe you can make a case of mad Men over breaking bad but I think they probably all belong in the top four.
Better call Saul, the Americans a tier below That. Game of thrones is probably on the Mount Rushmore of stuff like cinematography or production value or large-scale epic set production but in terms of writing it's nowhere close and it doesn't belong anywhere near these greats.

@michaelcorcoran8768 season 6 was one of the best seasons. 7 was still good, but that's when the pacing got all messed up. To me that was the main problem. Should have had more episodes to flesh out the ending better. It's definitely in the convo. Everyone loved it when it aired. Broke records. Now it's just cool to hate. GOT is still one of the highest rated show. I'll take it over the wire anyday.

It’s between The Wire and The Sopranos. Mad Men deserves a mention as well.
It’s sad that The Wire is the best show out of all listed. But I feel that a lot of people didn’t watch it because they thought it was just street thugs compared to their love of the mob.
None of these shows are the best show. They are all really damn good.

I would rather go back and watch breaking bad for the first time. I think sopranos is the best and most well written drama ever. breaking bad is a really well done thriller, and probably more entertaining, but sopranos gets better every time you watch it

@@143951 I think that while Sopranos is the best, BB is the most entertaining. I desperately wish that I had only watched GOT season 1. I consider the first 4 seasons to be the best show ever, and if had just watched season 1, it would have been a complete story, and I would have nothing but fond memories of it. If you haven't seen it, you should probably only watch season 1. If you watch any more, you will get hooked, all the way through season 8.
The people who watched The Wire will always pick it. ITs a great story with so many levels. Unlike all the rest of the shows…. The Game Never changes, only the players.

Extremely relatable if you come from an environment like that city. The Wire could’ve taken place in any other city in America and it still would’ve worked. That’s what makes it so special. Breaking Bad. I love the show so much that I've intentionally never finished watching it. I wanted to wait about 10 years before re-watching so I'd forget as much as possible. The problem is that the show is so damn good, I haven't forgotten any of it.

It’s a loaded question because Breaking Bad was such a cliffhanger all the time, how is he going to get out of this etc.. The wire and the sopranos are so deep when you watch them for the third + time you still see a ton of things you didn’t catch before of course I’m biased and still can’t decide between the wire and sopranos for best (the wire is ahead for now). Nothing I have ever seen comes close to those two. Oh and because it’s a cliffhanger seeing it for the first time again would be sooo awesome and hence even I would pick breaking bad in this poll. FYI I love breaking bad, no doubt but....

I haven't seen the wire yet. Also, while the Sopranos is better than breaking bad, the sopranos gets better the more you watch it, whereas there is nothing like the experience of watching breaking bad for the first time. That is my only issue with the list

No one all were were quite great
Sopranos for sure. It was the first show I ever binge watched, as my best friend had the first 2 seasons on DVD. And thats all that was out, and i was too poor for HBO, so id have to wait until the next seasons DVD box set to be released and for his parents to buy it, then we'd watch the full season in about 2 days. And that's how I watched it thru the years until the two parts of "Season 6," or Seasons 6 and 7, and I actually had HBO then and watched those every Sunday.
The next was The Wire, and while I think it's the most IMPORTANT show in TV history, and maybe even the best show in history, i still have to go with Sopranos.
And then Breaking Bad is right beside The Wire with me. Maybe not as realistic or as historically important as The Wire, but the writing and acting in Breaking Bad was second to none. However, I'd still say Sopranos and The Wire before Breaking Bad.
And lastly, Game of Thrones, I still haven't seen it and simply don't care to. Not my cup of tea.

I've seen em all and The Wire is in another league . it doesn't have a competitor. Social commentary, highlighting the issues, complex and interesting characters, countless small stories tied into the "game", unapologetically real and gritty, greatest acting performances and one of the best ending ever in tv where it all comes back to where it all started with nothing changing.... it's poetry in motion and a true masterpiece...it's as deep as you are wiling to dig. Every scene is put together with highest level of attention.
The Wire > Sopranos > Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad has the greatest ending to anything I've ever seen, heard, or read. Full stop. It wraps up everything and ties up every loose end in the best way imaginable.
It's also accompanied by the best prequel show I've ever seen in Better Call Saul.
The Wire is straight Shakespeare. Sopranos is masterpiece. Breaking bad is so damn entertaining. GoT...season 8 makes me wish I never wasted my time at all.
I have not seen the wire yet, and I wish I had only watched GOT season 1. It would have been a complete story, and I would only have fond memories. I agree with the other two

Time is a flat circle
The Wire is the most grounded & believable of these 4 shows and I love how each season of the show covers something different about the main character: the city of Baltimore.
The Sopranos is number 1 for me over breaking bad (haven't seen the wire or GOT but am gunna start the wire soon)

GOT is great but the last season is garbage, I recommend you don't watch the last season just read online what happens that way the show doesn't leave a nasty taste in your memories.
For me sopranos is number 1 but I will say I could never get passed the first 2 episodes of Breaking bad. Also I'm about to start watching the wire

I never was. Always thought The Sopranos ended brilliantly. It's the only show of these four that I watch regularly. The Wire's good, Breaking Bad eh, and I have zero interest in Game of Thrones.

The Wire is the greatest TV series EVER, with only ‘The Sopranos’ coming anywhere close to its level of quality. Breaking Bad is seriously overrated imo. It was good but not great imo. The only other TV series that matches ‘The Wire’ for its masterpiece quality is the original UK version of ‘The Office’, which is just on a level of its own when it comes to a TV comedy series. I know a lot of Americans like the U.S version but for anyone who hasn’t watched the UK original, you need to watch it, seriously, it’s a masterpiece comedy series,unlike anything anybody had ever seen on its 1st showing & it still is to be honest. ‘The Royal family’ is also a comedy masterpiece but I’m not sure if it would crossover to people outside of the UK.
The Wire is the cherry that sits on top of the metaphorical TV cake though.

Took me a minute to really concentrate and watch the wire but when I did... honestly one of the best shows I ever watched.
You should definitely give BB another try man... If you actually understand the whole thing it's so much more deep and wholesome! Also the 4th and 5th seasons are so dang good! Just... Trust me XD

It is also the least flawed. It had very little if any plot holes or inconsistencies. I LOVE The Sopranos, but that show had loads of plot holes.The ending was also stupid, and a cop out.

Breaking Bad's anniversary, and you spend 5 minutes talking about three other shows! BB is my pick, and not just because I haven't seen the other ones. You can't have Walt without Jesse, and Gus Fring was a villain with depth and sophistication. I miss it like an old friend.

Deadwood deserves to be a part of this conversation. The fact that it was cancelled is an absolute tragedy. It's the most immersive show I've ever watched and it's full of iconic characters and performances. The writing is vulgar, elegant, hilarious, and dramatic simultaneously. The Deadwood movie in 2019 was fantastic but this show deserved at least another season or two.

Not breaking bad- no way a teacher survives one week vs a cartel- GofT had the worst last 2 seasons- it’s the wire vs Sopranos
His not just a teacher lmao he’s way overqualified to be a teacher and the only reason walter survived was because gus didnt want to loose money
Since when did Walter fight the cartel? Also at the point the cartel is even Introduced Walter is well past a regular teacher.
His main enemy wasn’t even the cartel, what type a criticism was that.
Breaking bad is one of the most entertaining series of all time, regardless I how realistic it is. Got had been the best tv show ever before the end season. I have not seen the wire, so my #1 is the sopranos

The Wire was absolutely the best show ever, the dialogue, funny tragic, heart breaking, the casting was so incredibly accurate! Game of Thrones, was The Wire in medieval times! The cinematography, ironic humor, clever story lines and character development!

I just watched The wire for the first time, I didn't think it was that great. It wasn't bad. Breaking Bad #1 then The Sopranos. Game of Thrones I made it to season 3 and got bored.

Just finishing up the Wire to complete my experience of all 4.
Breaking Bad is by far the winner, the withdrawals I went through after the ending wasn't matched with the others. Not even close.
The Wire is good, but the acting lacked in some support characters and occasionally by some of the main characters. The big tell for me is the fact that I never watched more that one episode of The Wire during one sitting. I'm not an all day binge person, but for the other 3 shows, it was minimum 2 episodes during one sitting. But, the wire was just 1 episode a day and I got my fix of it.

I'm only half way through Season 2 of the Sopranos, but so far I'd take The Wire at #1 and Game of Thrones at #2. I only got through 3 or 4 episodes of Breaking Bad before I got bored.

@@raymondsims7042 I got into it late. And it’s series finale was this week. And honestly the way it ends..was VERY jarring and well done. Talk about subverting expectations. But yeah the show was quality minus some off the wall episodes lol. But overall well done.
