I do love the inclusion of Hiiro in the banquet scene. Although he's an anime only character, at least they're making his existence (and most of Scarlet Bond's plot) in this adaptation canon.
Hiiro appeared in Volume 0 of the manga, and most spin-off characters etc. are canon.
Meaning as long as his existence doesn't contradict any of the information appearing throughout the LN (which it doesn't), then there's no reason for Hiiro to not be canon, therefore he is canon, same as for example, the Trinity In Tempest protagonists.

A little late, but I've got a fun fact to give you anyway.
In the LN and the manga, during the dungeon exploration part of the arc, there is one very important thing that was cut for humour sakes. Even the worse party (Great Thunder) found at least one good item. Yep, they were able to find a chest and won big, they found a rare item. Rimuru was relieved when he saw that because, if they did not find anything, it would have meant it was possible to pay to enter the dungeon and leave empty handed. The fact sucha bad team found something proved anyone couldfind their fair share, something that would help a lot with the dungeon's publicity. Unfortunately, to make them nothing but comic relief, they cut that part and Rimuru's thoughts about it.
9:33 Rimuru still doesn't understand what a primordial is. The queen finds him amusing, because he's essentially saying that he'll take care of a being that's only a tier or two below Veldora in strength like it would be no problem.
Just remember that this season’s dungeon focus is set up for next season and future seasons. Next season is when the series REALLY starts!
Also, global release of Overlord Movie is in November! Let the hype begin!

Regarding the dungeon ... I do have a few qualms there ...
The anime turned Bassons team to complete jokes for some reason ... even going so far as replacing their scenes with anime only ones .... its head scratching ...
In both the Manga and the Novel they are an example that not every adventurer in this world is geared for exploration - its a group that basically works as guards, or monster hunter in the vicinity of settlements ... they dont go exploring or investigating so they dont know how to deal with that aspect of the labyrinth
But they showcase they power when fighting ... and have a good bonds ... despite their issues never actually dyeing inside of the Labyrinth until the end
At the end of their exploration Basson gets hit loosing an eye and the wizard gets headshoted by a skeleton archer, which makes the party freak out as they did not accept the resurrection bracelet as genuine fully,even if they saw it, until they get back outside and see the wizard is alright ... Rimuru even personally gives Basson a potion to restore his eye, as thanks for the useful information he gathered from their run ...
Regarding Icicle shoot ... was glossed over to fast, it was supposed to be a call back all the way to S1
it was Rimurus first spell ... casted when fighting Ifrit, he made it after consuming Erens Icicle Lance
Was supposed to make Rimuru realize that the 3 has become strong enough to actually hold their own against a foe of Ifrits level
It was also supposed to be omnidirectional, ie firing in all directions against a whole swarm of bats surrounding them
Masayukis guaranteed crit at work with the boss ....
Honestly the Labyrinth part is one that had the most room for the anime to actually extend things , it could have easily be extended to 2 episodes or 1,5 a missed opportunity for the anime ...

I don't know how well it'd do, but I think it'd be fun if they made a shorter anime where it's a party going on their quest to conquer the Tempest Dungeon, and eventually battle Veldora, then Rimuru.
IDK if the future Seasons include anything like this or if the Dungeon will just be something occasionally brought up, so it might happen without needing a separate anime, but regardless I think it has potential.
