I wasn't planning on coming down here, but when my buddy John said they would be running Engine #60 (Steam), I immediately decided to come down to see this steam engine in action. It was pulling BVR's Holiday Train, "North Pole Express"
Engine on this train are:
Black River and Western # 60 (Alco 2-8-0 steam locomotive)
Crossing Info:
Signal #1: a WC Hayes cantilever with 5 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights and a Modern Industries mechanical bell
Signal #2: a WC Hayes cantilever with 5 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights.
Enjoy!

Lived in the area of 20 years, can hear the whistle in winter all the way down in Stockton. Beautiful sound.
People blow that crossing all the time, usually when the train is preparing to head back into Ringoes, as the crossing will be activated while it’s getting ready. Sometimes that can be 10 mins and a lot of locals know that.
Nice catches! A lot of people ran that crossing in the first clip, though I'm glad at least one person know that a flashing red light means to at least stop before you proceed (doesn't change the fact that he still decided it was better to go through an active crossing though).
ThanK You David!
They do this all the time here, the engineer always lays on his horn at this crossing and he is actually scared of crossing here because of the people who do not stop.
Awesome Catch And Awesome Crossing And Awesome-Looking Passenger Train!
What an interesting engine! I love discovering new locomotives I never knew about..
Its a beautiful engine, i was so glad they used it this time! I wasn't about to come down here till i heard that they were running this engine!
Cool!
CAN YOU THE DO THE STEAM TRAIN COOIKE CUTTERS WE ARE GETTING THAT FOR CHIRSTMAS
Very Nice, I like those old Cantilever Signals
Thank You
Yea, so do I
Great video and thanks for posting. I concur with everyone else about the cars not stopping at the crossing. Even more scary when that dump truck failed to stop. I am sure if they have a CDL or other type of commercial license that they could get it revoked for not stopping when the RR lights are activated, at least here in Indiana you can.
sweet steam whistle. awesome catch.
Yes i know Thank You Phillip.
Freedomtowerman Productions your welcome
Those cars and even big trucks are one day going to find themselves hit or with a massive ticket
Yep, thats if the railroad doesn't put gates in
I Remember That Crossing!
Oh? from where?
How old is this train? Just curious
How totally awesome it that sound !!
Well, the train was pretty slow moving. Those cars were good to go for another like, 15 seconds.
the cars were idiots when the crossing activated
Yes they are

@@FreedomtowerStudios These crossings need gates.
Very nice!
Thank You so much!
Nice Video!
Are gates at crossings on main roads just not a thing?
They are, but some crossings don't warrent gates, not enough train traffic
Nice.
Thank You
Ik this is an old video but can you get more videos of this line? I visit it a lot and I never catch any trains until I'm leaving. There is this one crossing in particular, I forget the name of the street, but its in-between and old factory and a bridge. Are you familiar with that crossing?
Yea, i know what crossing your talking about, i'll get to it soon, when the weather gets warmer
ughh all those morons crossing the tracks while the signals were flashing then if they got hit they'd be like WHYYY?? HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED!!!? TRAINS R DANGEROUS!!!
Great video. Is that tourist railroad line onlu
Thank You Eric
Yes it is.
