- When his father died in 2011, Jay Wilde took responsibility of running the family farm. For years he has been concerned about the welfare of his cows and the environmental impact of beef farming. Today he’s doing something about it.
Absolutely brilliant guy, got so much respect for him.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this story. May we see more and more of these farmers doing the same thing. Thank you Jay Wilde.

thank you sir for opening your eyes and your heart. these cows will live a long natural life. it just goes to show anyone can become vegan, eating meat is a learned behaviour and it can be unlearned. this story made my day.
"these cows will live a long natural life" There is nothing natural about these cows, they have never existed in the wild and they never will. They are a purely domesticated species. If no one eats them then they will cease to exist. Essentially your argument is that their lives aren't worth living. If they are, then it's worth eating them. Think about it.
There will always be sanctuaries, or some people who will just keep them as pets.There's no need to have billions of domestic animals, while many wild species are on the brink of extinction, and animal agriculture is a leading cause of deforestation, habitat destruction, and species extinction.
And most importantly, it's incredibly cruel to breed billions of cows, give them a short life (in most cases, a life full of suffering) and then kill them.

The whole world should stop eating meat and we would solve so many environmental and health problems. We would also elevate humanity to a higher level of compassion and respect for nature. I am vegeratian ! I don't drink the milk and eat the cheese too ! once I saw the treatemet reserved to these milk cows, and once I saw the way the cows, pigs, goats and sheeps are killed !!! it's horrible !!! we know that we can do differently but small part of people do it because of money !! I would like to thank you this courageus farmer !!! It makes me happy to see that we, the humans, we have the humanity yet

Sydasauraus there is no reason to use these animals and see them as objects. Their bodies and secretions aren’t healthy. In Canada there are still farms that kill baby male cows and when the mothers can produce milk anymore they are killed. It doesn’t matter that the cattle were raised in an open field. In the end their throats will be slit when we don’t need to eat them. You would be taking the life away from a happy animal. They are still seen as profit and objects. Farming is extreamly bed for the envio. Espessially grass fed cows. Humane means to show compassion and belevolance. You can’t be compassionate to an animal that u are forcing to be killed. Organic doesn’t mean anything for the animals welfare. The cows are normally killed at 3 years old when they can live up to 20. They are killed as babies when we do not need to eat them. Good for you ! But make that vegan - milk (and eggs) : the cows and chickens that provide those, live horrific lives and end up in the slaughterhouse as soon as they stop 'being productive'.

bless this guy so much! 😊👊🏼 we can’t have physical health without mental health, without a clear conscious! knowing that you are trying to be a compassionate person and trying to become better everyday, as more people wake up to the immense damage and horrors of animal agriculture, there will be much more demand for plant-based protein foods so he is heading down a better more sustainable and much kinder lifestyle and job! Kudos to him for that (look how happy the animals look, they know that they’re not gonna have their throats slashed for a beef burger for human greed, instead they’ll be living peacefully with their families and communities!
