What if he was & the Maximals returned safely to Cybertron, & then Megatron escaped with the help of other rouge Predacons, then he unleashed the virus, with the Maximals surviving & leading a resistance movement against the Vehicons!
I personally don't consider BM the same continuity, but I think its hilarious that the ending of the Maximals have Megatron tied up outside the ship INSTEAD of the inside literally spelt their doom.
Nevermind the fact the whole plot of Beast Machines makes no sense. Megatron falls off the Maximals ship which means he should be dead, and then he somehow made it to Cybertron and killed everyone taking over the planet, I don't think it was ever explained how that happened either.
@@thedude9941 Transwarp space goes through space AND time as explained by Rhinox in the first episode of Beast Wars. Meaning when Megatron fell off the Maximals ship, he ended up arriving to Cybertron earlier than the maximals, thus putting in motion the events of Beast Machines
This show, as a sequel to Beast Wars, is frustrating since it throws away everything that was established but, by itself, I think Beast Machines was actually good. Not perfect by any means, but I liked it. I loved the darker tone. I loved how more intimidating Megatron became. Most Maximals personnalities were thrown away but Cheetor was an evolution of what he was, he made sense in this show. We saw him growing up from a young reckless kid to a mature young adult.
And Blackarachnia lost a bit of her dark side and being a techno head like Tarantulas but I think it was just her true maximal self shining through (how she would have been if she hasn't been made predacon)
I think the maximal behavioral changes were justifiable. Optimus had a religious experience, so he started acting religiously. Rattrap, knowing how outnumbered they were, seemed more cowardly because he was scared. He's got a high sense of self-preservation. Silverbolt remembered who he was as Jetstorm and was ashamed of his behavior. It actually reminds me of childhood dreams being utterly shattered as life takes its toll on you.
Cheetor's development was one of the good things in the show, I agree. He was much more mature and competent while retaining some of the original personality.
@@saviitrius still, Rattrap was capable of being toe to toe against Megatron Sometimes even taking leadership Beast Machines was a complete involution for him, even taking further toll into his robot form, that looked like a joke
@@condedepiamonte93 I had to look up that word cause for a moment I thought you meant to type "devolution," but I'm still not sure what you mean. Are you saying that the show did him injustice? That would be a shame, cause my favorite episode is the one in which he made that deal with Megatron. (And I actually love his new robot mode.) But I'm not particularly nitpicky about things like this.
@@Shadothecat _When in imaginary land because they never once said that._ Are you kidding?? The final battle between Optimus and Megatron in Endgame (the battle before the Oracle, Key to Vector Sigma, and Plasma Energy Chamber came into play) proves this is true.

@@frankspick7544 _beside few exceptions he as the_ _exception not the norm _ Eh, in Blackarachnia's case it's debatable, but Cheetor's Transmetal 2 form was definitely more powerful than his reformatted form. This is all, of course, before we consider the boost Primal's team temporarily got from Cybertron's captured sparks.
So... Megatron killed both Maximals and Predacons. He ruined the Decepticon legacy. But... if we think about it, Megatron won. He did what 1st Megatron and all Decepticons wanted to accomplish - he took control over whole Cybertron permanentny. He became the leader of Cybertron and all Transformers. He did it, yeeess...
As villains go, Beast Wars Megatron dwarfs even the original Gen 1 Megatron. He succeeded where the original failed: conquering Cybertron and remaking it in his image. And he did it even though, as Ravage scornfully told him, he lacked the original Megatron's army. He never had more than a few followers at any given time, and when he escaped between Wars and Machines he arrived on Cybertron completely by himself. Talk about doing more with less!
mam162 But G1 Megatron and his Decepticons did takeover Cybertron as shown in the 1986 movie. It's only because Unicron attacked Cybertron that the Decepticons abandoned Cybertron and they ended up on planet Char.
bagsikdangal And technically speaking, Shockwave was ruling Cybertron when they left. They only forced out all the Autobots in the movie... in a way, Megatron held Cybertron throughout Season 1 and 2.
i love the detail of not showing silverbolt’s transformation. i know its most likely due to the fact they had no idea what he would devolve into. but it definitely makes it all the more heartbreaking when we find out what did happen. he was forced to become someone else entirely
He didn't actually devolve to anything. The virus was a anti-transformation virus, which locked transformation and paralyzed the victim. The devolution was a side-effect for those who had gone through evolutions. The reason why Silverbolt and Rhinox were captured was because the virus not only locked their ability to transform but also paralyzed them
I don't think he would technically devolve into anything. He had a basic beast form like the others devolved into it was just a fusion of two different animals.
@@177SCmarothe problem is that the virus Megatron used also removed transmetalization and both Quickstrike and Silverbolt are at least part Transmetal so we don't know for sure what would happen to his body
@@jacksbrow182 Again, neither had a form to devolve into. What we saw was their base form. All the others had "evolved" two or more stages past their initial base form except for Rinox. The only thing silverbolt could possibly devolve into would be his blank slate form like in the status pods.
This Megatron is forever the ONLY one that won. Let the history books reflect this as his majesty, his glory...a single elegant machine, forever will this Megatron be the brilliant leader that Cybertron needed.
The Beast Wars ended the moment that the Maximals left the prehistoric Earth with Megatron as prisioner. The Maximals actually won the war. Whatever happened between leaving the Earth and arriving to Cybertron was no part of the Beast Wars. Megatron said he won out of his monstruous ego and arrogance, but that's a lie. He arrived to Cybertron before the Maximals and slaved it, but that was no part of the Beast Wars, but the Beast Machines' saga.
It's funny that Megs claims that he won the Beast Wars, yet he wants to get rid of his organic/beast half. That doesn't sound like he won the Beast Wars. If anything, him trying to get rid of his organic/beast half, is like him having PTSD from the Beast Wars. Or should it be PTBWSD(Post Traumatic Beast Wars Strees Disorder)?
Megatron was actually correct. The Maximals were tasked to capture Megatron. They did but then lost him. Megatron made it back to Cybertron before they did and re written their future. The Maximals failed their mission and because of their failure it costed them cybertron.
@@bthesilentgames Wrong. The whole point of the Beast Wars came because Megatron wanted to change the future, allowing the Decepticons to win the Great War. Ultimately, that was avoided and the Maximals leave the prehistoric Earth more or less how it was. THAT part was won. The problem came in their journey back home. Megatron escaped, and through the time tunel, he arrived Cybertron before the Maximals. Megatron didn't actually "change the future", he returned to the Maximals' "present", and the problems that the Maximals had in the time tunnel caused them to take more time to arrive Cybertron. These are actually typical problems that come when Time Travel is involved.
@Bags IDK why Megatron was bothered with his Beast Mode. He never complained about it once during the Beast Wars. In fact at the time he like his transformations when he 1st got them.
Seeing the old designs just make me miss them more. Especially after seeing Optimus's freaky face right after. I get they wanted redesigns to sell more toys. But couldn't the redesigns be, y'know...good?
I forgot how messed up Megatron was when he tried to separate his cybertron body from his organic dragon body. Seeing his dragon mode was kinda horrifying.
Anyone else weirded out by the disconnecting-and-reconnecting wires behind Megatron’s Head? Seriously, it’s like looking at a still functioning brain with electrical neuron activity.

@@LJGrindewald he was actively trying to remove his organic form. As hinted in season 3 bw. Megatron wanted a body like optimal optimus but got the dragon form instead.
Putting megatron outside the ship was the biggest mistake they ever did. Then beast machines wouldnt of happen. Prbly the beast wars may have continued again at cybertron
They should have removed his Dragon head arm and put him in stasis lock in a large stasis pod and kept him with them..silent then he'd be put on trial by the council of elders and Tripredacus council.
BW Megatron : Yesss. My infiltration of the production company to make them hire that fool Dan Didio paid tremendous dividends. After he issued me a Full Villain Sue license, having an absurd advantage throughout all of Beast Machines was child's play.
Oh yes. Dan DiDio. The reason why I always thought Beast Machines was a questionable portion of the Transformers world. Under someone else it had a potential to be better, but instead it was an overly dark, depressing mess with no clear direction. If the Maximal victory was going to be torched then the central story line of Beast Machines needed to be of much more compelling and higher quality. Instead it was overall a wreck much like DiDio has been wrecking DC Comics since become Vice President/Executive Editor there in 2004. DC sadly has become an overly dark and morbid mess much along the lines of what DiDio did with Beast Machines. And that's a shame since DC Comics characters were a pert of my childhood right beside Transformers.
Well according to the TF Fandom, seeing as we got Armada, Energon, and Cybertron out of it people have reevaluated Beast Machines in a more positive light. I still don't like it and it doesn't help that Dan Didio called a "religious epic for TV".
Goku Black TNT's 'Joseph' was a religious epic for TV. Beast Machines was the Proto-Countdown.Although, to be fair, many might have turned to their religion after reading or viewing anything by Didio.
The problem isn't that Beast Machines is horrible, the problem is that it's a sequel to Beast Wars and it was clearly written by people that didn't watch/care about Beast Wars.
Speak for yourself, I grew up with both Beast Wars and Beast Machines and preferred the darker tone of this show compared to the jovial one in Beast Wars. I disagree with the idea that these stories shouldn't ever be "depressing" or have any tragedy, I personally get sick of all the happy bullshit in cartoons because it's clear they're just pandering to the viewer to avoid making them feel uncomfortable. I do agree that they could have handled this story better but overall I'm glad this exists, it was unique for the time and gave us some of the best versions of these characters.
Beast machines isn't popular because of it's religious concept and organic designs, but you have to admit it's deeply thought out and has 1 plot hole (waspinator being catapulted through time and space)
It had potential but I didnt like the plot with Optimus' character changing into a plant guru rather than a serious but caring military general like leader he was in Beast Wars, and Megatron never really fought much. That and its criticism of being too dark (as in the lighting was always at night) and they really nerfed Rattrap bad.
@@melvinharris916forgot about that, I always assumed he flew down as they we're going threw time and got to Cybertron a few years early 🤷♂️. Still a plot hole though.
This show was so freaking cool. After binge-watching Beast Wars, I took everyone's warnings to heart and expected this sequel to be a trainwreck. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.
which is bad since everyone forgets about the overall mess the series Energon is then there's the bay movies, and at the bottom of that...a little something known as kiss players...NEVER look at kiss players...
To honest I enjoy Beast machines, however it is a terrible sequel to beast wars. the characters of Rat trap and Blackarchnia seem to have changed over night if you watch beast wars first. Also while the amnesia thing worked back before Beast wars season 3 was broadcast on TV now we know this line from megatron is nothing but a lie to mess with optimus.
How did Optimus Primal revert to his pre transmetal form when his body was destroyed in the Planet Buster crisis and the gorilla DNA along with it? So shouldn't Megatron's virus turn him back into his transmetal form?
His spark was halfway to join the Matrix, Rhinox saved him and brought him back to life with a transmetal body. And don't forget one robot arm broke through the dirt in the start of season 2 episode one
@@humangirl2122 It actually did to be honest. I like the idea of the whole nature vs tech thing, Cybertron being Techorganic and some other stuff. But like with Dragon Ball GT the idea was handle poorly therefor why Beast Machines has really mixed reactions by Transformers Fans.

Mr. Mark so, just to clarify, does the Beast Wars series end before or after they returned to Cybertron? The way it was edited made it hard for me to tell where Beast Wars ended and Beast Machines began
While I can respect the writers for having the balls to do this, it still makes all 3 seasons of Beast Wars totally useless. And as someone who loved that show, I can't help but feel somewhat insulted.
What makes you think this makes BW's three seasons pointless? They managed to prevent Megatron from screwing over the timeline of the Autobots and the Decepticons. While Megatron still managed to win, it isen't a total loss. It would have been if Megatron had gone back to prehistoric Earth and tampered with the timeline again without the Maximals being able to stop him.
I actually question season 3 of Beast wars more than Beastmachines if Megatron truly destroyed the ark his dreams of Predacon conquest would be retroactively aborted; no Matrix= no way to stop Unicron so yeah RIP universe
What's even more disturbing about Megatron, is how long he was isolated on Cybertron. Were his robots just stationary statues or did he go out of his way to simulate a thriving society with biker drones flooding the streets and jet drones zipping by from time to time or tank drones voicelessly fighting to give the impression of personality? The thought of isolation is further supported in episode 3. Megatron just used his beast mode after who knows how long, and needed answers to why he transformed, so he created a maintenance bot to be his personal nurse. Giving a sigh of relief when another voice gave him good news in a very long time. Even how he interacts with his generals. He talks to them like constructs and punishes them far more harshly than any of the predacons he lead prior. Rhinox being in control of the Tankor body is a perfect example. Instead of mentioning him by name, Megatron reminds the tank general that he is nothing more than a ghost in a machine. His maintenance bot suggesting free will was enough to enrage Megatron, proving that the little guy is nothing more than his programmed yes man.
As awesome as this show is (yes I know I'm in a minority here) I feel that it missed out on a really good story opportunity. When G1 ended, the Autobots were in a stable alliance with Earth to the point that some humans worked and even lived on Cybertron, and Transformers on both sides had allies from various other planets, both organic and robotic. They could have expanded on these facts, saying that they are still allied with futuristic Earth and the other planets to the point that there are human colonies on Cybertron. Of course Megatron would see them as a blight on his perfect technosphere and would attempt to wipe them out, which would lead to them attempting to leave Cybertron and go to the other allied planets. But they find out that Megatron already sent vehicons to the other planets, capturing the Cybertronians and wiping out all of the allied aliens, destroying the organics, and melting down the robotics to make more vehicons, all to make sure that nobody who can fight him remains. This in turn means that there is nowhere for the human colonists to go, leaving them stranded on Cybertron. Imagine the story potential of the Maximals meeting a human resistance.
From what I read, I think humans were wiped out. It's why they aren't on Cybertron or talked about in beast wars. Apparently. The reason the Vok are doing their experiments on prehistoric earth and leaving energon and puzzles for them to solve, it's like an apology for being behind their demise and they're re-writing that for humans. I think the Vok were known as the swarm before.
@@LJGrindewald cool, where did you find this information? It's fascinating I had no idea what happened to the humans in beast wars and was always curious.
Darkest and most Original Transformers show ever. At the time it was so difficult to digest. But today there are several things I like from this show. Hope we get to see a sequel one day.
It feels pretty weird seeing BW models and voices in BM. Also, BW Megatron was really a sort of "technological god" in this show. He wiped out all of Cybertron and took away everyone's spark and used their bodies as drones.
Just realized. If Optimus just did some quick thinking and turned the ship around, they could've gotten to safe space and be able to regroup. They might've come to the conclusion that Megatron arrived earlier than them, messing something up. Then they could've gone back into transwarp, and try to arrive at an earlier point in time to try and stop Megatron's plan. Hell, they could've tried to find a transwarp ship while they were on Cybertron and try to change the present. Though, Megs probably anticipated that and had all time travel technology destroyed. But still, food for thought :p
Goku Black Why do you think he would had been a Veihcon? He was a Transmetal 2. All characters who were Transmetalized reverted back to their original forms. Dinobot would had just gone back to his original form.
Dinobot Kiryu yeah true but transmetal 2 was a clone but perhaps after he regained his memories of the original dinobot instead of being killed off he could have played a bigger role in beast machines
Goku Black That's what I have always said. I was annoyed when I saw him die for a second time. I felt it was a wast of a character. Same thing with Tigerhawk. Wouldn't it had been cool to see Dinobot 2 communicate with the original Dinobot from the Oracle?
I think they should make an alterate reality/timeline series set after beast wars aftermath so we can forget about beast machines. A new tv series based on the Beast Wars Gathering/Ascending comics would be cool.
Exactly, my dream is for them to just say beast machines never happened and make a true sequel to beast wars where they take on the Tripredacus council.
Why the hell is optimus running? He can turn into a tank that has far more speed and firepower than a tank drone, his robot mode is also bigger than a tank drone, or better yet he could just pick cheetor up and fly away. I mean what the hell are the jet drones gonna do? Pebble him with tiny gunfire? He's massive! and can't cheetor also fly too? What the hell guys? A couple of mindless drones is nothing compared primal in a giant murder body! Let's think about this. Optimus primal in his reformatted form could take out and even pick up multiple tank drones by himself. Megatron in optimus's old body, beat his new bodies ass. So why couldn't Optimal optimus just nuke the fucking place with how overpowered he is? I call bullshit.
He could have transformed into his flight mode and all the others could have ridden him and his form can go supersonic. Could have flown away and found a place to hide. Would have been more exciting.
Want to know why? A logical reason to why is a cybertronian equivalent to adrenaline, they just got off the battered ship, only for them to be attacked, first instinct from danger, run.
because not matter how powerful your they were freaking out number plus the virus would of dealt with him plus flying dosn't really help when the virus could lett be drop from any wear
If Beast machines were to have a better storyline that properly continues the Beast wars era, It should have been this. A Cybertron Predacon vs Maximal War that would have forced everyone to use earth animals for Beast modes from their archives to fight this war. Our main maximal team would have been the surviving soldiers of the Beast wars on earth. Introducing new predacons to aid Megatron in order to fight the maximals.
Honestly, I wish we could get an inbetween series that would GO BACK and fill in the gaps BETWEEN Beast Wars and Beast Machines to show HOW far back in time Megatron got back on Cybertron and took it over and got that machine like body before the Maximals returned, and maybe even show us when he took over and built the drones and took out Autobot and Decepticons we know sparks and especially the missing Maximals, Silverbolt and Rhinox’s sparks after being captured… It feels like a majorly missed opportunity… I know it probably would have been a very dark series for kids back then, BUT it would have been so cool to see the Maximals crash land and just run for their lives and match it up with the flashbacks… At least 8 episodes that would lead into the BM series … I think that’s why Beast Machines felt like a major disconnect for me despite loving Beast Wars so much growing up in the 90’s…. 😩 PLEASE Mainframe Entertainment, give us some nostalgia back by giving us what we miss!!!!!!
As far as I’m concerned megatron is the hero of the story because ultimately transformers were stuck in an endless war between two factions. Transformers only saw themselves according to their factions when their identities were in truth their sparks. This is why the vehicle generals being former maximals was a stroke of genius it showed how the confusion of social identity and culture lead to war and that cybertronians were really killing and murder ing their own kind over differences in body type snd programming. Which denied what they truly were which was sparks. When megatron removed sparks from their bodies he divided everything. Down to the base component. When he was going to murder their identities through assimilation it proved that all that mattered was the spark. Everything else was irrelevant. War happend because of their bodies and socially constructed identities. Megatron destroyed it all.
Megatron in Beast Machines: Remember how I tried to take over Cybertron back in Beast Wars by going back into the past and changing the future? Turns out I could have just done THIS the whole time! (Still no idea what that "THIS" he had done was though :/)
I reckon he was damaged once arriving at Cyberton. Floated in Space then fell through Cybertrons atmosphere. Though he survived he was damaged but his transmetals 2 powers should be able to heal him.
If they lost their transmetal bodies and the oracle gave them back, id be down for that, because lets be honest, the techno organic forms werent the best, and it looked like a very slight power upgrade from their transmetal forms.
"Beast Wars ended perfectly, let's insult the fans by undoing ALL of it!" Ghad, I was SO right to ditch this show. I watched the first episode, smelled the stench of bullshit retconning and "NOPE!"ed right out of there. Everything about this show screams "Written by people who had barely glanced at the source material." And it was, the writers for Beast Wars took a break for a year, came back to see this abomination and did try to salvage it in the second season but it was too little too late. And yes folks, if you don't think the character designs were hideous, you need glasses.
I agree. The disrespect to BW and the ugly designs make it impossible to truly like the show as much as I wanted to. Which is sad because some of the ideas it had were cool and I wish later reboots did something like Megatron's plan here, the fact that the heroes were under a Cybertron totally under the villain's control, and the idea of a pure organic transformer like Savage/Noble. Good concepts, bad execution.
I liked all of the new designs except for Optimus' both beast and robot modes, and Silverbolt's beast mode. Personally if I saw them in real life I wouldn't care. But this is a show, so make them look good. I wish Optimus could have kept his "Optimal" look. I thought he was really cute and it was the most expressive. Also, Silverbolt needs a censor bar over his throat.
@@humangirl2122 I'm sorry but 99 percent of the people here say they are ugly. Because even if they were reanimated it wouldn't change bad character design.
If this Megatron had succeeded in becoming the core Conscious of Cybertron, he would have swallowed Unicron for breakfast. Seriously, think of all the variations of Megatron, G1, Armada, Prime, and all, none of them can reach this Megatron's level. He did things none of them would ever consider. Whereas G1 Megatron would have killed or enslaved you, Beast Wars/Machines Megatron will tear your soul out, and melt your body into raw materials for drones, and eat your soul in the process. Truly the most tyrannical version of them all. It also makes Optimus Primal the greatest and most heroic version as well. Resorting to guerilla warfare since the Maximals were clearly outnumbered, and outgunned. P.S. Notice how Optimus Primal rejects Cybertronian technology and returns to Monke? He's truly the ascended one.
In the Transformers Universe comics (the sequel to Beast Machines) Tarantulas returns and reveals he was serving Unicron's agenda. Primus then resurrects Optimus Primal to defeat them, implying even the God of the Transformers believes him to be the greatest hero in history.
Dunno why but I always wished Tarantulas returned in beast machines, unlike most predacons besides megatron and dinobot he was honestly pretty unique, considering how knowledgeable he was.
There’s this one Inferno toy that is a repaint of Cybertron Scrapmetal that could fit well with the BM Vehicons as if he actually survived BW and still serves Megatron into BM. Megatron gives him a new body and is now a Vehicon.
@@humangirl2122 I love monsters. They look so fucking cool! Take Godzilla for example. Who would've imagine an oversized dinosaur with dorsal plates would look so menacing?
Recently, I binge watched both Beast Wars and Beast Machines one after the other. In retrospect, BM follows the formula and only really changes tone towards the end of Season 1, and every character felt more fleshed out if you follow the timeline
Theory: The reason why Megatron grew to despise organic life forms and Beast Modes is the result of when he Transfused his Spark with G1 Megatron’s spark.
Beast Machines was exciting, dark and tension filled. I used to stay up late to watch it Friday nights on Bionix on YTV. I enjoyed it but it's definitely a far cry from the original series. The set up was shaky and the ending was vague but it had lots of atmosphere, mystery and the ride was enjoyable. Lots of worse shows out there.
Megatron might have won the Beast Wars, but that doesn't make Optimus and the Maximals give up hope, and as long as they keep fighting, hope will be upon Cybertron.
Why couldn't they created continuous of Beast wars series called: "Beast Wars :"The Combiners" like their g1 ancestors did that would be a lot cooler than beast machine if one of the producers from the show have other ideas
No. They should make a series from the Beast Wars Gathering/ Ascending comics. All the maximal protoforms that survived, half being turned into predacons by a wireless shell program by Magmatron, sent after Megatron by the Tripredacus councils after Ravage's mission fails and the Beast Wars Neo/II maximals join with Leo Convoy and his maximals. They could have used a mix of Transformers Prime CGI as it was the next best thing after Beast Wars animation.
@@JoaquinEduardo-gt4sm yes. Exact replica. But the thing is,Optimal Optimuses body is the most op one so far. Megatrons Dragon body is much more weaker in BW,and only reason why he keep up with/beating up Optimus was because he has G1 Megatrons spark. This is why Optimus can keep up with him in BM when he was still a dragon. Writers constantly had to nerf Optimal Optimus in S3 with diffrent methods. And this is why Megatron go full on ape slag with Optimal body. Besides Optimal Optimus only used his Beast mode once. So thats not makes it that much diffrent.
To be fair he lost the Beast Wars because he never completed his goal of altering EARTH history of erasing the autobots. He did however accomplish his alternative goal of ruling Cybertron.....although I ignore the continuity of Beast Machines
The fact that Megatron committed omnicide and used their sparks into his Vehicons is just pure evil. He escaped custody and ruled Cybertron with an iron fist, ridding Cybertron of all things organic and turning the planet into a "single elegant machine". This Predacon leader was going to become a godlike figure, the next Primus.
I do not understand where Megatrons hatred for any organic beings and his technocratic ideas came from. He actually wanted to continue the legacy of the Decepticons by becoming the leader of the Predacons and conquer cybertron.
Yeah, they never quite explained where Megatron's fanatics for technological purity and his hatred for organics and individuality came from. He just... did.
I think after gaining power, losing so many times and feeling humiliated sent him off the edge. He was a metal megalomaniac as Blackarachnia once called him. I think G1 Megatrons spark corrupted him further too. I don't know where the anger making him lose control and transform came form, like his beast form had a mind of its own.
It was implied going through the transparp without being inside a ship drove him crazy. That's what led to his hate of organic life even though most cybertronians are techincally organic but look like robots. And eventually taking sparks out of everyone so he can be alone on a planet of zombie machines.
you know im kinda on megatrons side not for being a dictator but because he wants cybertron to remain machine not turn into an organic or techno organic planet lol
I'm guessing once Megatron virus hit Cybertron on a planetary scale and removed the sparks, he launched his automated weapons satellites around the planet and they shot down the Tripredacus councils satellite, destroying all on board. Probably the only sparks he didn't obtain.
You're right he's original body was destroyed he only had his transmetal form that also raises another question what the hell happened to Optimus Prime's spark when primal was devolved? Did Megatron take it or did it just disappear? You know I used to like Beast machines but after rewatching it I really hate it now I never realized how bad it was until now
@@maximoomega3691 a ton of shit just didn't make sense with beast machines which the most unfortunate thing I learned was that the writers had never seen beast wars because they were told not to watch it for some reason
His new body is powerfull enough to survived the space-warp storm. So he ended up in Cybertron much earlier. The virus he used is also probably meant to end his beast mode. But did not worked This is why his body has so many metalic parts in it.
The only problem I have with this story is that it basically kills off Primus who is the transformer God of life. How do you explain that he wants plants trees organic life when he is basically a metallic being forged by the same energy that made Unicron it's a tough sell if you know the full story of the transformers and I think it kind of erroneously kills him off in this story or at least neuters him
I mean it used to be that Primus was a multiversal singularity with each cybertron being different based on the reality it was held it. If you think that makes it confusing... it wasn't really. Not until the aligned continuity was made apart of the multiverse.
Apparently the original plan was for them to fight back against the Vehicons as the virus slowly devolved them until they ended up in their Season 1 Beast Wars bodies. However, this was deemed too complicated for the animators, and we are left with the admittedly comical sight of Optimal Optimus and the Maximals *running away.*
Well, technically they *DID* win. The whole Beast Wars took place on Earth and the Maximals won when they captured Megatron. He just escaped from the ship before they got home. It's like winning a trophy but the someone steals from you. You still won, but you don't get the reward
I do love the fact that Megatron has the guts to say they lost the Beast Wars... even though they ended with Maximals largely outnumbering him and having him prisonner while all his own Predacons were dead (many by his own fault). Yeah, right...
This series broke my heart as a kid. Every episode was so painful finding out what Megatron did to literally everyone
The events of Beast Machines wouldn't have happened if Megatron was held inside the ship.
Moral of Beast Machines: Always properly secure your prisoners.
Garth Davis I think he was too big to fit if I remember correctly
TheChapelx nice try, Optimal was bigger. They could've easily brought him in the ship

So... Megatron killed both Maximals and Predacons. He ruined the Decepticon legacy. But... if we think about it, Megatron won. G1 megatron: "Silence!!!!!!"
That's what he would tell beast wars megatron.
What Transformers?! There was nothing left but an army of mindless drones subservient to only Megatron.

@@bthesilentgames Wrong. The whole point of the Beast Wars came because Megatron wanted to change the future, allowing the Decepticons to win the Great War. Megatron escaped, and through the time tunel, he arrived Cybertron before the Maximals.
Goku Black
TNT's 'Joseph' was a religious epic for TV.

Not useless as it was planned by the Oracle to bring techno organic back to cypertron. Same with the plant maximal in season 2
I still don't know how Megatron survived without a spacecraft in warp zone and how did he capture Rhinox and turn him into tanks.

That would require a higher budget, that this series hadn't

He could have transformed into his flight mode and all the others could have ridden him and his form can go supersonic. Could have flown away and found a place to hide. Would have been more exciting.
Want to know why? A logical reason to why is a cybertronian equivalent to adrenaline, they just got off the battered ship, only for them to be attacked, first instinct from danger, run.

Considering the limited character models and voice actors they have, they never afford to do something like that.
There is an actuall tie in comics that explains the state of cybertron before Megatron returned and etc. Though ı forget the name of the comics.

And it was, the writers for Beast Wars took a break for a year, came back to see this abomination and did try to salvage it in the second season but it was too little too late.
@@ArcherBro The designs wern't ugly.
@@humangirl2122 I'm sorry but 99 percent of the people here say they are ugly. Because even if they were reanimated it wouldn't change bad character design.
@@danitankmen8213 They are all wrong! The maximal's are not ugly and their character design are not bad!
Bet they thought that was a real cute idea, chaining Megatron to the back of their ship like a hunting trophy.
Dunno why but I always wished Tarantulas returned in beast machines, unlike most predacons besides megatron and dinobot he was honestly pretty unique, considering how knowledgeable he was.
Inferno should've returned.
@@DirgeHole-2866 really? I don’t hate him but he didn’t have much character did he?
There’s this one Inferno toy that is a repaint of Cybertron Scrapmetal that could fit well with the BM Vehicons as if he actually survived BW and still serves Megatron into BM. Megatron gives him a new body and is now a Vehicon.
Good show, My only gripe is the character designs. I would side with megatron just because of their designs
The Maximal's design's were just fine!
@@humangirl2122 No
@@lordshotgun7168 Yes they were!
@@lordshotgun7168 You are a monster!
Was tying him outside really the best idea they could come up with?
2:21 2020 be like:
Maybe comically leaving Megatron ontop of the ship during hyperspace was not the best idea after all.
It looks like the bad guys are just as smart as the good guys here. Interesting
Carlos Galindo why is that surprising?
koolboy895 because usually the bad guys make dumb decisions that ends up giving the good guys opportunities to defeat them
Theory: The reason why Megatron grew to despise organic life forms and Beast Modes is the result of when he Transfused his Spark with G1 Megatron’s spark.
How the hell Megatron even took over Cybertron where they were heading back to Cybertron after the maximals won the Beast Wars?
2:47 is that soundwave and blurr!!!
The transformer that was running was Nightscream
Beast Machines was exciting, dark and tension filled. I used to stay up late to watch it Friday nights on Bionix on YTV. I enjoyed it but it's definitely a far cry from the original series. The set up was shaky and the ending was vague but it had lots of atmosphere, mystery and the ride was enjoyable. Lots of worse shows out there.
Just because megatron escaped doesn’t mean he won the beast war. The maximals still stopped his plans on Earth.
2:46 they killed Soundwave;-;
The moment he said logical is the moment I started seeing BW Megatron as a combination of g1 Megatron and Shockwave
Because it would add more characters in, which would drive up the cost of producing the series if they didn't kill off characters.
I wish Hasbro would make a new Beast Wars show set after the original that jettisons Beast Machines out of canon.
Beast Machines is the true Sequel to Beast Wars.
They could have used a mix of Transformers Prime CGI as it was the next best thing after Beast Wars animation.
a Beast Wars Uprising animated series would be cool
@@LJGrindewald Beast Machines really is the true sequel to Beast Wars.Everything else you say is wrong!
@@dunkanbulk14 No it wouldn't.
Can you imagine what would have happened if the maximals had kept their beast wars body and had not lost it to megatron's gas
Optimal Optimus is to Op. Needed to be nerfed. We saw what Megatron did with Optimal Optimuses body.
@@Vilgax00 that was a replica make from the og optimal optimus body, but with out the beast mode only have the robot and the two vehicles modes
2:20 It looks like Mainframe to me.
Cybertron's sparks were never extinguished. Megatron just stole them from their bodies and then locked them up and threw away the key. LITERALLY.
*YYYYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS*
To be fair he lost the Beast Wars because he never completed his goal of altering EARTH history of erasing the autobots.
He did however accomplish his alternative goal of ruling Cybertron.....although I ignore the continuity of Beast Machines
The fact that Megatron committed omnicide and used their sparks into his Vehicons is just pure evil. He escaped custody and ruled Cybertron with an iron fist, ridding Cybertron of all things organic and turning the planet into a "single elegant machine". This Predacon leader was going to become a godlike figure, the next Primus.
YEA IT WAS VERY COOL MAGATRON TAKING OVER CYBERTRON
HypertronDE he did has Dragon mode before.i am not talking about from Beast Wars.I’m talking about his dragons mode
It was implied going through the transparp without being inside a ship drove him crazy. That's what led to his hate of organic life even though most cybertronians are techincally organic but look like robots. And eventually taking sparks out of everyone so he can be alone on a planet of zombie machines.
first he lost the beast war. second his mantra: "i will brook no failure from anyone or from any reason."
Honestly the beast modes in this show look awesome, the best thing about it imo
EVERYONE: Yeah, but how?
WRITERS: *Shrugs*
you know im kinda on megatrons side not for being a dictator but because he wants cybertron to remain machine not turn into an organic or techno organic planet lol
Yeah, optimus primal looks horrible
@@biphronte No he didn't!
@@humangirl2122 beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I cant stand robolips
Making Cybertron techno-organic was the only way to save Cybertron.
@@biphronteThere was nothing wrong's with any part of the body.
ACtually, Megatron lost the beast wars(its why he ended up a prisoner) but he won the Cybertron war since he became it's leader.
What ever happened to the Tripredacus council or the original remaining Autobots and Decepticons?
They tripped off their satellite stations, fell down to cybertron, and then fell into the plotholes all over the surface.
Tragic story, mate.
I'm guessing once Megatron virus hit Cybertron on a planetary scale and removed the sparks, he launched his automated weapons satellites around the planet and they shot down the Tripredacus councils satellite, destroying all on board. Probably the only sparks he didn't obtain.
They fell into the wasted potential abyss
Wait my question is why would Optimus revert back to his original form as he technically lost his organic side when he merged with Optimus
No he didnt. Optimal optimus still had a beast mode.
@@lordtachanka85 damn Hasbro was smoking something new
@@maximoomega3691 No they weren't
Apparently Megatron was somehow have his spark transcend time and space to point he took cybertron so easily 🤷♂️
I never undestand why the hell the maximals didn´t defend themselves against the vehicons, why they didn´t fight back with their transmetal bodies?
Rodimus Because they're not stupid, it's an entire ARMY
They were hit with the gas almost immediately after landing. Sliverbot and rhinox not having a trans metal form were defeat immediately from the virus
Actually awesome plot: Let Megatron win for a change instead of the "good guys". For real. :D
2:45 That one have the Soundwave's form
I agree with most everyone Beast Machines SUCKED IT SUCKED SO BADLY, Beast Wars was way better.
Beast Machines didn't suck it!
HACKS!!! I CALL HACKS!! The Maximals won the Beast Wars! This series is bad fan fiction!
To be fair, we all thought it would be a good idea at the time.
nah the truth is they won megatron just cheated...and made the beast wars invalided by being megatron
No, the Maximals won the most important battles, but near the end, Megatron managed to score the one point he needed to win the war.
