Mechanical Q2 should be an NFPA requirement. (Since they weigh in on everything else).

They should have em in every state fire department. Especially Chicago. Those EQs can be less loud. The way i figure, i felt they should be a requirement on every FDNY rig. Take their heacy rescue units for example. They have the Q2Bs along with an EQ2B. If rescue 1 in Philadelphia had a Q2B, it would make sense. I don't say it to speak for every city in every city but, i do say it from my point of view. As far as to the reason why its because, i view. Rhe Q2Bs as effective tools to use. Especially to warn people of firefighting apparatus (engines ladders and heavy rescues) and very useful.

Yeah and you can change the volume on the EQ2Bs but it’s just not enough the Qs can get very loud which departments like NY And Chicago need

@@TomFireVideography I can definitely agree. Also I am saying a mix of both. Because hey, best of both worlds

Chicago Fire Department can't have Federal Q Sirens on their rigs because of the city's sound regulations. This was in response to a lawsuit that was filed in the early 1980s over Firefighters losing their hearing from those loud mechanical sirens and from that point on, CFD only used electronic sirens on their rigs ever since, such as the PA300.
