    Spoiler if you have not watched previous testimony! RE-Cell phone data.
    It showed that Cody had called home and he was on the phone for about 20 minutes. I believe he was talking to Grant. I think Cody had tried to call his parents cell phones, got no answer and then called land line. Cody's best friend testified that he clocked out 15 minutes before he HAD to "leaving money on the table" which his friend said he would normally never have done. He stated he thought it was unusual. He said Cody did not seem alarmed, but he still thought it unusual that Cody to chose to leave early. When he tried the cell phone lines twice at 9:16 and got no answer, and then called land line- I imagine Grant answered and gave some weird reason as to why Cody could not talk to his mom or dad, like perhaps they went to a late dinner which Cody would have thought weird. Thus, he decided to go home early wherein he was shot entering the back door.

      Milton Waddams wrong. Nice or naughty aren't the precise terms I would use. Pleasant and unpleasant behavior probably more useful. If I come to the conclusion that I do not like the behavior of a person, I can not divorce completely my feelings with my weighing of the evidence no matter how I try. Many published studies support that people make determinations about people by their height, weight, clothes, shoes, teeth and certainly their manner. Right or wrong. That defense lawyer is unpleasant, and it makes me question his integrity, his motives, his intelligence, etc. etc. Lesson here is if you are a defendant (which I have been) you will be coached on how to become more "pleasant " in the eyes of the jury. Looks--Haircut, facial hair, visible tattoos etc., and mannerisms--eye movements, facial expressions , perceived attitude, etc. My lawyers choose my tie, the sent me to a tanning booth place, and chose the glasses I would or would not wear. IT IS LIKELY WHY YOU ALWAYS SEE THE DEFENDANT TAKING NOTES. Taking notes implies you are interested, paying attention etc, but it also restricts you eye movements from the witness to your note pad--which keeps you from staring at the wrong thing, changing you expression based on testimony, etc. Sorry for rambling.

    Because Grant used to work in an O.R.- I bet that he had hospital shoe coverings and he wore those when he shot his family, as well as hospital scrubs, hat, mask, and coat when he shot. That may be how there was no blood present on his shoes as well as no tread marks on the floor. Obviously he also puled Cody forward while standing at his head. I just can't figure our how he flipped his father over without stepping in blood. But I know he was fully aware of how to protect himself from blood, and how to clean things that had has DNA on it. I would not be surprised if he had stolen special cleaning solution from the hospital. This is based on the fact he had his dad's credit cards photographed in December of 2018. It seems he had this planned for a bit.

    • @NitrosMom074
      @NitrosMom074 4 года назад +1

      ART-CAR-GAL, i don’t think Grant used shoe covers since no footsteps in blood were seen on the floor with light or chemical, so that seems to suggest that he stepped over or around the blood, but without seeing the photos, we wouldn’t know. I had a feeling that Chad might not have died immediately and flipped over by himself, but since that wasn’t discussed and we couldn’t see the crime scene photos I can’t be sure.

    • @player400_official

      It’s possible that there was no blood around his farther at first (only after some time of him lying around).

  • @ARTCARGAL
    @ARTCARGAL 5 лет назад +8

    When I first viewed Grant's interrogation- BEFORE the trial. I thought he was not guilty, or at minimum- had a blackout where he may not have remembered killing his family. I also almost bought that it was a mob like hit on his family for non repayment of money. After Day 2 of testimony, that changed. Defense did a great job initially of creating reasonable doubt, but as more evidence has been shown and especially the cell phone data- as well as absence of DNA or smudges on Chad (fathers) cell phone- it has become pretty clear who is responsible for the deaths.

    I cannot believe they did not do a metallurgical analysis of the rounds found from the victims, compared with the rounds left in that bag from the friend who had the Jericho firearm stolen.

    • @ARTCARGAL
      @ARTCARGAL 5 лет назад +1

      They probably did not have time as they just found out about the gun in June of 2019, which was close to the trial date. I bet they did do analysis after they were informed, but they are not allowed to use it because of the time allotted for evidence submission when trial date is already set. The defense would have had to agreed to it- and they would NOT have.

    • @ryan1the8grate
      @ryan1the8grate 5 лет назад

      @@ARTCARGAL then couldn't the defense also object to the admission of the testimony of the friend based on the same timeframe constraint? I'm sure they could have got it done fairly quickly. Metallurgical analysis is not difficult

    • @bagramdave883
      @bagramdave883 4 года назад

      Wouldnt it be easy for the Defense to demonstrate there is almost nothing metallurgically unique between different brands of bullets (same saami standards). Particularly with RE manufactured ammo that comes loose in plastic bags.

    • @oananar8207
      @oananar8207 4 года назад +2

      The analysis is made between 2 spent rounds or 2 rounds that are unspent. There is no relevance in an analysis between a spent one and one that is not spent because the particularities are changing while the round is engaged and fired so the result would be, at best, unconclusive and would only confuse the jury or, at worst, not allowed to be presented as evidence. More than that, every analysis bares costs and it is only allowed if it can have any relevance to the case and can be used as potential evidence ( direct or corcumstancial ) in the trial ( at least from the states side as the money are coming from taxpayers...the defence, if payed by the defendant can do as many tests as they wish as long as the defendant is paying which is not the case here as the defence team is also payed from the tax payers money )
