Great program. I was surprised to see the carryover between Midwest and Southeast.
I suspect the west coast birds will be all new vs the midwestern birds.

@@rooster7996 Thank you. Yes, the Rocky Mountains, desert and plains are the physical barriers that separate the east and west bird populations.

The Brown Headed Nuthatches always seem to show up in a “group.” At our last home, about 6 would always show up at the suet feeder and make a squeaky toy”racket that would drive my dogs crazy….

Hi Mark , I need your advice please! ! I’m new at feeding birds and have been feeding a bird mix for finches that has sunflower chips, and millet in one feeder and safflower seeds in another but today I noticed a lot of house sparrows taking over the feeder what advice can you give me do they also like safflower or is it the finch mix that is attracting them ? I would appreciate so much your advice! Thank you.

The favorite of House Sparrows is millet. That is why I avoid any mix with it in any of my feeders. I only use millet as a ground throw to help lure sparrows away from my "good" seed. While House Sparrows will eat safflower, it is not a favorite. Using millet on a ground tray or on the ground itself is a good "can't beat them so join them" alternative.
