I've been watching for aeons and I'm a fan of your work for longer than I can remember, so Imma read 2 things about this video with the best love and intention. Nothing to do with the Drag part, cus that's your art and take on artistry, I mean about the Production of the Video, cus well, that is my college degree haha.
I guarantee you could have grabbed a Lavoisier and worn it whilst recording the video, it sounds like you used a video-mic, a condenser or a shotgun that was miss-aligned, and the sound is super-low as you're doing makeup on him.
The voice-over, by comparison (and intro music) is WAY too loud. I keep adjusting the levels on my columns, because they're sensitive to poor sound editing. Your channel is visually amazing, but it really needs a sound-check, because it does become bothersome if anyone's watching on a computer, or a professional setup that is more sensitive to audio changes.
As a second tea and this is a butterfly thing, I just felt it might be relevant: as a queer person, it felt a bit weird hearing you talk to "us" as if we were all a gal turning up her dude into drag, cus I'm just fishing for tips here so I can do "my", aka, Pony's face. It felt directed towards a straight audience AT THE BEGINNING, then it looses that thread of thought. I know a lot of dem heteros will be turning drag-looks, but Trixie's video on a similar approach a few days ago managed to stay away from that issue, so by comparison (in no ill way), it sounded less personal, and more commercially directed towards a specific audience. I, however, love all the Patrick in the Patrick Star channel, so it felt a bit impersonal, but nothing else, and most certainly - nothing major.
Perhaps that's why I noticed the sound so much, because more commercial videos usually have a sound-editing guy making sure the levels are pro as f**k, and it was a bit on the high and low level for this one, I'm afraid. So it's like two different production choices, each pulling onto opposite sides of a video's approach.
