Thanks! I scrolled back and found this video after watching how you executed the slice against BRIGHT and Black. I’ll update you the progress, kind sir.
Nice! Thanks! I've been practicing the forehand slice return for the past two weeks and added it as a drop as well. The forehand slice return to a person's backhand is so deadly, I have to laugh every time it works when the returner hits the ball into the net. It's around 80% effective so far. I'm going to start practicing the backhand slice this week and I'm figuring it will take about a month or two to get use to since the backhand gets less attention.
Thank you so much!! A little bit of practice and you'll get there in no time! Let me know if you have any questions once you try it out, I'd be more than happy to help!
FH + BH slice / cut will always be part of my game, but curious to get your thoughts on some recent counter perspectives encouraging players to never use slice claiming any backspin creates a disadvantage for the slicer.
It all depends on matchups. I put more spin on the ball than most people I play against so I like to use it a lot. However, if I have an opponent with a really good top-spin technique, especially when they have the ability to consistently get under the ball, I tend to avoid slicing to them. Every shot has its pros and cons, depending on matchups, you should always be flexible in altering your game.

Absolutely!!! It's definitely my best shot, the fact that even they had trouble dealing with it was a proud moment for sure ☺️

I personally use this shot! Also it can be used as a backhand drop serve that is tricky to return.
smooth.
Thanks for the tutorial BK!
your backhand slice drive is so beautiful. Hopefully, I can do this someday.
