With how this quest was going, it got me thinking that it could have ended in two ways. Depending on how fast you go through it Rana is saved and you get a happy ending. If you were to slow, or got beaten by the final boss, Rana would have died.
Genshin couldn't really do that, because it's a game that has lack of replayability basically hard-coded into it. And lack of replayability means value of giving players actual choice is significantly lower while still costing just as much dev time.
*sigh* I wish that could happen but since this game is a live service and fell into lack of replayability category (pretty common among gacha games) just like the user up there said so. If only the dev were told to make legit AAA quality game that could happen because you can see the dev are capable but rather not take the risk.
The music edit and zoom in as her health bar emerges from within the fire sea, followed by her taking the swing at the pyro agent completely destroyed me lmao that was incredible
It does have a chance of happening. For a few reasons. 1. She’s the first character that has received a vision in front of us 2. She’s also the first NPC that fights enemies with us 3. She has a whole world quest (also the longest one so far) revolving around her 4. Her appearance isn’t an issue as she leaves for a journey, if she really does become playable, her appearance would most likely change the next time we see her. 5. (This one is probably false) there was a leak of a Dendro axe-wielding character that shows up in Natlan. She not only uses an axe but also received a Dendro vision, so if this leak is true then that is indeed her.
Rana not taking combat damage, and not being affected by the elements makes me wonder: would she be able to take on the Raiden Shogun fight, provided she could even enter domains? Could she survive the 'Final Calamity' special attack that can one-shot any playable character, even with Zhongli's thicc shields? Since this is impossible to actually test, please comment below your thoughts.

That'd be amazing. "New 5-star Dendro Character, Rana: The Unyielding" Talent 1: Perform up to 2 consecutive Normal Attacks. With her sixth Constellation, this becomes 3 Normal Attacks. 1st hit 130%, 2nd 155%, 3rd 1337%.
I really hope they use this Fighting NPC more, I think the War section of Inazuma would've been a lot better if this was implemented already at the time

So now we've seen this game's first 6 star Dendro character. Fingers crossed for a Madame Ping banner too then! Also it's funny out of all the ways to die in Genshin it's only drowning that's universal. If they add some passive where the Hydro Archon can swim forever she'll be invincible as an NPC lol

That's right, NPCs that touch water despawn and don't come back, i used Jean to throw those cats that surrounded the mint plant on Asase Shrine into the water and they never respawn for me.
I like Rana! She actually helps you...or at least tries to...unlike some other annoying npcs that claim that they helped you while they just stood there and did nothing.
Ha, or even some of the main cast, like Keqing during the Osial fight. Runs in alongside the Traveler...and is gone once the battle begins. Now Jeht on the other hand...she's set the standard!

I want Rana to become a 4* Dendro shield in the future and I want EM RES to be her specialty. Like, the higher her HP is, the more EM RES she gets. To the poitn where it could be impossible to even Burn her Dendro Shield.
I had Rana accidentally drown herself whenever I made her fight the Spinocrocodiles by herself. I was so confused at first when she had suddenly disappeared I already register as “unkillable” and thought that she just reset herself to the original spot but whenever I looked around she was nowhere to be found.
This video really shows how robust genshin impact is as a game - the fact that this was so out of wack, that she fought the fatui agent, and there was a protocol for when she drowned, and then she respawned, is crazy. They say you have to consider anything the user might do, and they really predicted this...
When I first saw the health bar I thought we were gonna have to protect her from enemies, kind of like the transportation balloon commission. Boy was I wrong
Rana be rocking that 69 damage I really thought nothing could kill her when she tanked that fatui agent's 6 clone slash attack like it was nothing. (That attack is capable of killing even characters with +2k defense)
Let's dream, that she will receive a vision (already done), that her clothes will be modified a bit to present her on the banners as a 5* character, dendro, with the new type of weapon (short axe), and specialty in elemental resistance and defense. and its elemental burst makes any character invulnerable for 10 seconds. full energy recharge, and no healers or shields.
I noticed that a couple of years ago when I'm AR20 back then and I went straight to Liyue region. They said that do not farm artifacts until you unlocked highest domain or else you are wasting Resins. Back then we only had 120 resin cap.
@@SkeoGames That's because Albedo's flower doesn't grant you anything. Simply, if an enemy takes damage while nearby the flower, wether that's burning, falling or ally attacking, it will bloom and deal damage.
I never knew Rana was so invincible. I didn't expect to go on such a big quest when I met her, so I thought it was the usually of "Don't let them die or you have to redo it or get a bad end" sort of deal. I didn't even give her a chance to get even remotely hit, nor let her hit something in return because I thought she wouldn't be able to damage anything anyway.... Little had I known that, as I looked at her as a weak NPC in the fight, she was the one thinking the same thing of me... And being more correct.
I love that everyone seems to have noticed Rana can handle the baddies on her own. I left her there to fight them, and best 10 minutes I've spent in the game I think.
Watching rana fight was really amazing, just changed my team into albedo, raiden and mona with their skils activated and she wiped out everything. Pure menace👌🏻
Since the elements do nothing that benefits/detriments her, she'll definitely be another physical focused unit like Eula, should the stars align and she becomes playable 6 star perhaps? 🤨
@@achixkem8989 I've seen this same argument before, but those guys weren't developed individually to the same extent as Rana nor did they get their visions in real time, AND she also conveniently left on a journey and won't be back for a long time. I think the signs point towards her being upgraded to playable in the future.
In quest where you fight Mechanical Array I did go out of bounds (there is a gap in rock) and killed him prematurely. Now in subsequence locations water level is above intended and there are actuall enemy's below the water, they don't die.
I bet since Rana gain the Vision, and the way mihoyo set it up. She will be going out and train herself with his friend Arana. In future banner she will have different looks and maybe some near identical abilities as Arana.

Glad I found these series of videos dude. They're fun to watch. I've always wondered if Rana will be a playeable character which I doubt will not hehe. Imagine having a meme invincible character like that but just has an axe with limited damage to enemies haha

By the end of this questline, it makes you feel as though she were Sumeru's Beidou
When I did the quest, her hp bar did get reduced though. I just don’t know how that happened.
