The siren heard in the video is called the 'Standard Emergency Warning Signal' (SEWS for short). This siren usually precedes a emergency warning on either a TV, radio or via a phone message.
From the NSW government's website:
"Following the signal there will be a message, pay immediate attention, listen to the announcement, and follow any instructions given. As part of a coordinated national emergency plan, an audio signal has been
adopted to alert the community to an urgent safety message relating to an identified emergency such as a flood, fire, or earthquake aftershocks."

@@Hyperb2002 You'll be glad to know that this isn't what their EAS actually looks like. Can't believe I only found that out last year... although the sound at the start of the alert is, in fact, what is actually used, this isn't how emergencies are broadcasted. They just cut to the newsroom, play that alarm, and then the reporter reads the info.
Not that Australia has anything to worry about right now in terms of nuclear attacks. I doubt they have any major enemies who want to hurt them right now.

Reddblue Doesn't take something the size of Tsar Bomba to fuck up your country. 65 1 or 2-MT warheads, easily carried on Russian or Chinese ICBMs, can devastate multiple targets easily. These are strategic rather than tactical nukes, and would kill a hell of a lot of Australians in an attack like the one depicted in this.

I know this is fake but i feel like Australia would be one of the least likely places to get attacked. From what I can tell, they generally try to stay out of other country's business. The only way I can realistically see this happening is if they come to the defense of ally nations and they become a new target for the enemy.
