I thought your review was up there with the best objective no nonsense explanation on bikes I’ve ever seen. I own 2 Yamaha 2015 MT09s that have had quite a lot of mods carried out. I realised I was buying a bike to a price point and spent the money improving suspension to bring it up in standards. I really wanted that cross plane triple which is amazing. I’ve never owned or ridden the other 3 in your test but my friend owns the Kawasaki. Your comments regarding our bikes was smack on in our opinions. Well done on a great review.
Thanks guys! I am in the market for a naked and these were the bikes I have been looking at the most. This was hands down the most helpful video I’ve watched in any of these bikes. I was leaning towards the MT 09 and this video sealed the deal.
Stephen you are absolutely right... i love mine. No buyers remorse at all. For those who think it does not have enough power get the revs over 6000 rpm and it pulls hard👍
Toss in a Brutale 800, Shiver 900, Street Triple 765R, and a GSX-S750. But it's difficult to round up everything for a good test. Good decision on running the same tires across the board! I had a Z900 (non-ABS), I got a MT-09 currently. Frankly, love things about both of them. Hard to beat that butter smooth Z900 engine, it's fueling is just perfect as stock. MT-09 suspension frustrates me for opposite reasons the Z900 frustrated me. Flabby and soggy vs. overly harsh and bucky. Both bikes really need a few thousand thrown in the aftermarket to really make them beautiful. MT-09 engine vibrates kind of unpleasantly (although tolerable) as compared the buttery Z900.
🤔.....well, keep ur knickers up everyone - this was a ‘pretty good’ video, with the glaring exception of not having just one more bike included.... the TRIUMPH 765 Street Triple. For me, I own the KAWASAKI Z900 (the exact stunning red frame/red wheels model as included in this comparo), and love the bike. All these bikes are cool.
Finally, someone saw fit to put the Monster 821 against the Duke 790. I think the 821 is the most natural bike to compare the 790 Duke to. Thanks for that.
@@lralcantara This is why the internet suffers. I owned the Z900 the other year. I currently own a MT-09. I have the experience on both. The triple vibrates, it has a noticeable coarseness coming through the bars, triple clamps, tank, and pegs. The Z900 was butter smooth at most all RPM. And this is after both bikes have been fully and thoroughly broken in. I'll take experience over opinion any day.
Lifted_Above dude, the internet suffers because opinions make people itchy when they don’t go their way.... you happy with your Z900?, fine... I simply would never buy one... for my taste, and that’s the only thing that matters to me, the MT-09 is better... no suffering, just my opinion...
Bought myself a 2017 Yamaha MT-09 two years ago and I've put more than 3000 miles on it already. I love that bike. But whatever bike you choose, it's a very personal choice. I ended up with the MT-09 because I wanted something different from everything else. The crossplane 3-cylinder engine, the motard-style sitting position, the styling. I wanted something fun from my middleweight purchase, not just something for commuting. And the MT-09 delivered. Had the 790 Duke existed back then, it might've been a toss-up. But I'm thinking about getting a Duke 790 Adventure R, as my fun, middleweight offroad adventure bike-thing instead. I tried the Z900 before buying the MT-09, but I hated it. You to rev the nuts off it for anything to happen. That engine sits much better in the 900RS imo. As for the Ducati, it's just different kind of money compared to the others. Sure it's better equipped, but it's a whole lot more expensive and too much for a middleweight, naked bike imo.
Thks....Interesting read that. Almost went for the same but liked the Triumph speed Triple in black. Perhaps not so mad as some bikes out there....A little heavier than I would like but I'm enjoying it. Economic for a 1050cc too. I know....We can't compare 1 litre bikes with the smaller ones.....but it's what I ended up with.
u are on point ... nobody seemed to worry about pillion, but i will say, best pillion comfort is offered by KTM, big seat, wide, its straight and not in down angle, best for pillion i know it since i have tested it....Next best is MT09, seat is good but too short, pillion cab be accommodated but it feels cramped.... If rider and pillion both are small, then MT also feels good but still not as good as KTM.....
Anil Kumar My wife and I are not the smallest but we have found the ktm to work great even on 200 mile trips . It's not just the comfort for pillions it's the actual getting on an off in relation to the rear peg positions .when testing out the bikes my wife really struggled on the Kawasaki and the triumph .we also tried a Yamaha tracer which my wife could not even get on lol .Bmw f800 gt was good for a pillion also . I have top box and a larger screen with soft panniers if going on longer trips and the 790 works great and imho it only lacks at the top end by a small margin ,but in the real everyday use you do not notice .
And it seems unless you get a retro like one of Triumph Bonnevilles, cb1100, xsr700 or 900, z900rs the pillion seat almost needs a step ladder to get on.
I agree with his comments about not noticing the lack of electronics on the Z900. I have been riding for over 30 years and currently own a Z900 and don’t feel the need for electronics. I live in Australia and use it as a daily computer with occasional weekend rides with the wife on the back and only ride in dry weather. Maybe also because I am 50 and don’t drive like a hooligan anymore, but 20 year old me survived an RD350lc with no electronics.
Benjamin Kubas Cronin i rented a bmw r1200rt while on vacation in Denver! It was the top of the line and i had it for a whole weekend! I must say that all the tech that the bike had were more of an annoyance to me than anything! I love going to the bike and turning key and going! On this bike ... took a 20 min show and tell from the owner just to shown me all the crap the bike had! I found myself distracted just to figure out settings! I literally got upset and just set it to a setting and never changed it the whole weekend... i think that would be the case if i buy a bike with fancy modes... i will never use any of them... waste in my opinion. I think the z900 is one of the last pure bikes like the video mentioned... in the future i will have zero options when it comes to bikes without all that tech
Before watching this I was torn between a Triumph Street Triple and a Z900... now I'm torn between a Triumph Street Triple and a Z900... Great video though, nice to hear such in-depth analysis of the Z900 !
You overlooked the fact that your favorite handling bikes (821 Monster and 790 Duke) both have IMU's with cornering ABS, which could be expected to have contributed significantly to their handling prowess.
I read your comment before I saw that bit of the video, and thought: 'nah, they couldn't have done that - that would make no sense!'. And then lo and behold, you were totally right: completely random figures thrown out bearing zero relation to the others! Probably most non-sensical bit of information I've ever seen in a video review.
Excellent review! One of the best overall comparisons I've seen. The only thing that might have been worth mentioning is if there are significant differences in maintenance costs. The sad thing is that over here in the US, the the Ducati Monster (standard) 821 jumps up to $12k and the KTM is $10.5k while the MT-09 is $9k and the Z900 is $8.4k. That makes the decision a lot easier for me. Oh and for those sods who were disappointed that their bike wasn't included, they should just do a little homework. There are other reviews that include them with variations of the bikes you reviewed. This was a great selection for those who understand the difference between triples vs twins vs four cylinders.
Middleweights are 650cc, not 900cc. 600cc supersports are not naked. 900s and liter bikes are big bikes. I was looking for a comparison of the Z650, CB650R, SV650, MT-07 and the Trident.
Great review of the four bikes I'm looking at! I really was set to buy the MT09 but I'm going to go down to the Kawasaki dealer and check out the 900 first. At 70 years old I'm moving off my Goldwing and Victory CC and back to something fun.
When I started riding the Kawasaki 900 (the OG ) had just been released and 750 was the big bike marker. Now these are middleweight rides and there are so many types and rides available in all capacities the choices are endless. So much has changed but the thing that remains is the grin you get when riding!
wish we had your insurance prices here in Ontario Canada .. I pay double your most expensive for basic insurance on 900 cruiser, Great video lots of good info and looks to be honest opinions .
Yeah. I was on the phone with my insurance for probably 3/4 of an hour before the agent realized that they don't insure my FZ-09. I had to go elsewhere. Dude, I'm over 50. What are they thinking?
As an FZ09(MT09) owner, I am of course biased. BUT, with that said, I will say I did the highly interwebs advised front brake pads upgrade, to EBC HH pads, and it does tranform, the "boardy" feel of the stock brakes. Track tested and approved.
Great review guys! This is my segment, reasonable prices, and great street performance. But for the love of all that is holy will the insect design look go away.
I am a Triumph modern classics fan (not really this segment of bikes) , the Honda CB650R , Kawasaki Z900RS and Yamaha XSR-700 , XSR-900 all look quite good and not "insecty" :)
Home slice, if you don't like the insect look of the MT-09, just get the XSR900. As for the KTM... Can't really help you there. They all look like insects.
As I watch this, I realize the bikes are well chosen for comparison. Reasonably close in cost and raw performance numbers. Likely to be cross shopped. Its just hard for me to think of 800-900cc machines as middleweight. In the world of 1290 Dukes I guess it's all about context.
Remember that engine size is not all, if you jusge the bikes by power mt-07 and z650 stay way behind, all the engines on this comparison have 100-130 horsepower. mt-07 and z650 have 75 and 67. What I'm wondering is why the Street Triple RS 765 was not in the test, it would have totally destroy all the other bikes.
@@KafkaesqueRider Yeah having ridden both the z650 and the z900 you cannot put them in the same category. Even if it is hard to accept that a 950cc z900 is a "middleweight" Rofl. The z650 and the mt 07 i would consider entry level bikes. Alongside things like the z400 and a yamaha R3. Z900 is much closer to a z1000 in terms of performance. Striple RS : 10.3 Grand is out of place with the rest of the bikes save the Monster. Indeed a comparison with the 821 stealth would be interesting (and one sided towards the striple). Maybe the Standard Striple would be a good match for the rest of the bikes.
@@Stratocasterhead51 Totally agree with you, funny thing is how prices change in different countries, for example, in Mexico City MT09 is more expensive than the Striple RS (MT09 $240,000 Mexican Pesos = about 13,000USD) (STriple RS 225,000 MX Pesos = 12,000USD) yet Yamaha is one of the brands who sells more bikes in the country. Also for Mexico we consider 'entry level' any small displacement bike for example, Yamaha R15 or Suzuki GSX-R150 along with Indian brands like Bajaj or TVS. z650 and mt07 are 'middle weight'. STriple RS, mt 09, monster 821, etc, are some kind of 'Light heavyweight' and anything beyond that is 'Heavy weight'.
Have to say 2 years on the MT-09 20k+ on the clock I still love it... even the stock exhaust which I did swap out is great. Should of saved the money and kept it on. Will say this at legal motorway speeds it is fine but above my word is it a work out for your neck!
I installed the oem windscreen and boy does it make a difference. Though I gotta say that it does take away far more from the aesthetic appeal than I've anticipated.
I got a 2019 MT 09 about a month ago after my Duke 690 got stolen. I couldn't be happier man. I LOVE THIS BIKE. The Duke 790 was my first choice but the $$$$ came in just a little out of my price range. The Street Triple S was amazing, shes a sexy ass bike and a ton of fun to ride but again, out of my price range. You're not making a bad choice! Enjoy and ride safe dude!
Josh KaspEr hi congratulations on your new bike 👍🏻 I’m not actually buying an MT09 I’m just giving my opinion on these bikes. I ride a 2016 ZX10R winter ❄️ edition which i brought earlier this year myself. Adam 🏴
Brilliant review. I'm so tempted to get one of these for a bit of fun. I think next year's Z900 has added an electronics package. The only one that doesn't interest me is the Ducati. Gonna have to test ride the other 3.
Arcuz Clumsy?! 😂 Presumably you’ve never ridden one?! Also it’s at least as fast as everything on this test (It wins practically every test it’s in against this lot).
Automotive Revive Yeah I love my 675R, but i love it DESPITE the headlights...! You can’t see them when you’re riding it and I park it front first in the garage haha
Great video and great detail on the bikes, ive had a 790 since march of last year and i picked it because it was best bang for buck, and the light weight and amazing handling really carves up the street. Just need to give it some different tyres and better looking mirrors and its good to go. (Stock exhaust while it looks meh, does give off an amazing sound so it depends on people who want to buy a different can) I did consider an MT09 and street triple but for the price of a 790 i have everything i need and no more that i can ask for. Anymore power an ill just get a sport bike instead of moving up since the duke is a daily driver that feels great and when i really do need to give it the beans it does oblige. Maybe perhaps a trade up to the 890 when it come out is in order?
Ktm is the most performance for the money if you include electronics. The Kawasaki absolutely win for people who don’t care about electronics. It’s the most actual bike for the money.
No1 buys a ktm to enjoy a happy evening ride, its meant to be a ballistic missile n the streets! Not a civilized bike, its a hooligan! Likewise for the mt09!
@@martiisbertgelabert569 Love the Duke! Not sure I could live with the BM's motor. Not too exciting by all accounts. But until I try one for myself......
@@BikeWorldTVshow have you ridden the new Honda cb650? My biggest deciding factor is going to be which bike feels better around twisties! I want something that can handle like my r6 but loads more comfortable
I was in your same position and ended up getting the cb650r. Never once regretted my choice. The Honda is a refined, smooth, buttery, and stone solid piece of machinery. People are always talking about how important "usable power in the low RPMs" is on the yahama twins compared to the CBs 4 cylinder, but I couldn't imagine ever needing or wanting more usable power on the CB throughout the whole rev range. 👌
Loved he didn't know no TC and kept pushing harder and harder lol 😂 I never tried it because I sold my 2015 R1 changing to a Supernaked so the natural choice was mt10 but I'd really really like to try riding a new mt09,.. I bought a new MT10 at launch of the MT10 I got the most insane deal on a brand new 0 mile MT10 where I payed only $9,200 OUT THE DOOR , NO dealer fees, set up fees etc etc, that's nearly the base price of the mt09 and it was out the door! I had the MT10 2 years and LOVED EVERY MOMENT , I enjoyed it so much more thsn ANY of the my other bikes! The sad thing is my favorite bike is the only Supernaked I've owned which mean all those superbikes ive owned were in the wrong category lol. Gotta also say I LOVe that I could track my MT10 competitively against superbikes by just doing a race filter , flash of Ecu and a $120 decat pipe. I track it, ride it home, tour cross country, commute for work, take me daughters on rides, hit the canyons, it wasn't far the cheapest Supernaked out there, 2 years of of ownership and not one issue and no recalls. I also do track days with a friend who tracks his Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory which I nearly bought but was double the price of the MT10 and that drives him nuts becaue I'm 2.5 seconds faster consistently lol
I’d love to see a 2021 comparison, now that kawasaki has some more electronics and the 890 duke is available now. Yamaha made some changes too.. love the way u guys discuss about the bikes👌
It’s no question which bike got the better electric system. You also forgot to mention on the 790 that the traction control can be set between 1-8 and the fact that it has launch control. And not to forget about the price. The Ducati is much more expensive, and if i remember correctly, the quick shift is extra equipment that must be bought
i think the terminology just became outdate they refer to horsepower figures more than displacement since most of them are around a 100 HP , unlike superbikes which are around 200 ponnies
Seriously, (no pun intended), is it a U.K. thing? Even in the U.S, I do not think I have met anyone who calls 900 cc bike as middle weight. Up to 300-400 CC is small, 600 - 700 cc for middle weight, 900 cc and above for a big bike category, no? I know riding a motorcycle is a very individual thing, but riding a 900 cc bike for a city commuting seems a bit.. well.. over doing it.
I've tested the MT09 SP, i really wasn't a fan. I can see on track how it would be fun but on a bumpy road it was horrendous. I have a Monster 1200 S which i absolutely love but can't speak for the 821. Haven't tested the Kawasaki but i have tested the KTM 790 duke and it was an absolute right laugh. Really smooth and also quite versatile. You don't alway have to ride like a hooligan but when you want to it was ready for it ha. Out of these four it would be the KTM for me from my own experiences. P.s love the S22's. Got them on the my own monster and they are phenomenal.
@@MZ-bl6wg Yeah i've tested the standard MT10 a few times and really liked it. I actually nearly bought one before testing the Monster S and buying that instead. Saying that it took me a few weeks of testing both back and forth trying to determine what one i preferred and to be honest it just came down to looks for me in the end. I like the looks of the MT10 but the Monster just won me over. Even after a year or so i still love looking at it ha. If i got the MT10 instead of the Monster S would i have been disappointed? I really don't think so. I think i would be just as happy with it as i am with the Monster. Very different bikes but both of them fantastic.

Great idea putting same tyres on all. Those s22 are amazing - my first set survived 8000kms balls to the wall riding mt10.
Gary is classic, he knows how to market his brand! He is on everyone's RUclips channel 🤔
Thanks Robert! Two MT-09s?! That's just plain greedy... ;-)
I like the look of the Ducati best. Love the L-twin engine.
Kawasaki for me.
Thanks guys! I am in the market for a naked and these were the bikes I have been looking at the most. This was hands down the most helpful video I’ve watched in any of these bikes. I was leaning towards the MT 09 and this video sealed the deal.
A review made to its perfection. Its been long since i saw such an unbiased review.
We thank you!
No Suzuki GSX-S750? For me, it's the most underrated and under-reviewed bike on the market. Absolute sleeper and a bargain, with a peach of an engine!
Over 3500 miles on my Z900 so far this summer and I have no complaints other than the rock hard seat.
Change that seat before you lose your arse lol
Good, thorough review, thanks - do more like this please.
I LOVE my Fz-09 but honestly any of these bikes would be a blast to ride!
This is an awesome review, was definitely going with the MT 09 for the Hooligan moments but my blood is green and I'm convinced on getting the Z900. 👍
Finally, someone saw fit to put the Monster 821 against the Duke 790. I think the 821 is the most natural bike to compare the 790 Duke to. Thanks for that.
I wonder how the Duke 890 is?
Yamaha hands down, Best Engine, Best Looks, Most reliable and the best value... how not to love it...
Z900 has the best engine if you don't want vibrations grating on your nerves.
Lifted_Above nah... Yamaha hands down... plus, MT-09 does not vibrate... its a 3 cyl... also, Moto GP success backs up Yamaha 💪🏼... respect
@@lralcantara You didn't mention vague, slightly bouncy suspension. Z900 is razor sharp
The one thing all these reviews miss out is ease of use for a pillion .
u are on point ... nobody seemed to worry about pillion, but i will say, best pillion comfort is offered by KTM, big seat, wide, its straight and not in down angle, best for pillion
i know it since i have tested it....Next best is MT09, seat is good but too short, pillion cab be accommodated but it feels cramped....
What's a pillion?
No room for anyone else.
Pillions should buy their own bikes!
best middleweight bike review I've seen. well done guys 👍
glad you put the same tires on all of them to test just the bikes
I agree with his comments about not noticing the lack of electronics on the Z900. I have been riding for over 30 years and currently own a Z900 and don’t feel the need for electronics. I live in Australia and use it as a daily computer with occasional weekend rides with the wife on the back and only ride in dry weather. Maybe also because I am 50 and don’t drive like a hooligan anymore, but 20 year old me survived an RD350lc with no electronics.
To the point, easy to listen to , nice people, well-done comparisons. You have done it mate! Best Motorcycle youtube channel by far.
Thanks!
This was a great video,it would be lovely if you guys compared some beginner naked bikes.
Sounds like a good idea.
I absolutely love my z900 !!! Its the color you guys tested! Love the simplistic approach and the power is very usable everywhere! Abs is all i need !
All about the balance for me between all parts, it's remarkably good even if lacking some nice bells and whistles!
Fuel consumption and seat height is also important from my perspective as im short rider. Thanks so much for your brilliant Test.
In that case you have to go to the Ducati.
Probably one of my favorite presentations. Well Done.
Making us blush, cheers!
Before watching this I was torn between a Triumph Street Triple and a Z900... now I'm torn between a Triumph Street Triple and a Z900...
Great video though, nice to hear such in-depth analysis of the Z900 !
Nice review BJ & Gary im loving the S22's i fitted to my gsxr 750, and i would go for the ktm some great deals around on them atm
Cheers RH, yeah cracking hoops for that bike!
For me it's Z900, followed by the 790 Duke.
Actually did not expect for monthly payments and even insurance to be included.. more like this please! Keep up the great work!
Cheers Kura!
You overlooked the fact that your favorite handling bikes (821 Monster and 790 Duke) both have IMU's with cornering ABS, which could be expected to have contributed significantly to their handling prowess.
As an MT-09 owner, that was a very fair assessment of the bike. Cheers
Unless you have the 2015 version. In which case, smoothness on the throttle!? Absolutely not!
Why didn't you quote insurance prices for the same area and age. Comparing different areas and ages is meaningless.
It's just meant to give a rough idea of running costs.
@@BikeWorldTVshow Yeah but it doesn't lol. It's not comparing apples to apples.
Same with deposits and monthly payments
In austria, i'd pay 1300€ a year for a MT-09 lol
Loved the review, the Kawasaki feels great even though it has no electronics, one of the best of the lot! :)
Thanks very much!
That was a brilliant review video thanks very much guys.... loved watching this....please do more videos together
A very good test! Really enjoyed it
Why leave out the definitive and highest quality naked middleweight?, either the R or RS Street Triple.
Picked out of a hat as we said at the start of the vid.
Bike World Haha I didn’t think you meant that literally! Nice to see a bit of a different bunch anyway.
@@Mockle07 It was literally Michael, thanks for watching.
Thanks David, mini FYI, next year's Z (2020) comes with full electronics and a TFT dash!
This is really good. To bad the 765 R/RS didn't picked from the hat. No matter because I already own one.
Great great vid! Best comparison of the middle nakeds so far
I understand no 765R or 765RS, that’s ok as I know they would win all the tests anyway 😆
In other reviews, some picked the 790 over the Triumph.
When I started riding the Kawasaki 900 (the OG ) had just been released and 750 was the big bike marker. Now these are middleweight rides and there are so many types and rides available in all capacities the choices are endless. So much has changed but the thing that remains is the grin you get when riding!
The Z is actually 943cc, a mere 100cc less than the Z1000! The term 'middleweight' now refers to bikes 700cc and above, really.
Any reason you didn't include the street triple rs? It's an amazing bike.
They said it at the beginning. They picked them out of hat.
It's a 13k bike lol
wish we had your insurance prices here in Ontario Canada ..
I would like to see an update of the Z900 with the new electronics additions and the new dash on the 2020.
Wouldn't the mt-07 and the z650 be the middleweights?
As I watch this, I realize the bikes are well chosen for comparison. Reasonably close in cost and raw performance numbers. Likely to be cross shopped. Its just hard for me to think of 800-900cc machines as middleweight. In the world of 1290 Dukes I guess it's all about context.
beginner naked bikes 250cc-700cc. Middleweight nakeds 750cc-950cc. Super-nakeds 1000cc ->
Great job guys! Excellent breakdowns and insights 😉😎
Cheers!
how can you do this and not look at the Street Triple wth
Have to say 2 years on the MT-09 20k+ on the clock I still love it... even the stock exhaust which I did swap out is great. Should of saved the money and kept it on. Will say this at legal motorway speeds it is fine but above my word is it a work out for your neck!
I installed the oem windscreen and boy does it make a difference. Though I gotta say that it does take away far more from the aesthetic appeal than I've anticipated.
I find the air pressure makes a LOT of difference. 110mph is pretty comfortable.
Honestly the kawasaki seems like such a simple and fun bike to throw around town
Im a sports bike boy myself and a Kawasaki nut but in this instance I’m bagging the MT09 👍🏻
Adam 🏴
I think what's more interesting is that the Z900 is cheaper insurance on a bike with less safety features ( anti wheelie and such besides abs )
Great test 👍 Thanks ! Personally, once you get used to it, the V-twin is just magic....on top of that, Ducati has this little something more 😀
The price? 😉
Brilliant review. I'm so tempted to get one of these for a bit of fun. I think next year's Z900 has added an electronics package. The only one that doesn't interest me is the Ducati. Gonna have to test ride the other 3.
This review was one of the best for me that I've seen recently.
Street Triple all day long, no comparison.
Couldn't agree more and the Triples quality is head and shoulders above every bike in the test.
Ugly, slow, clumsy bike. You are right it's not worth comparing to these 4 bikes.
Arcuz Clumsy?! 😂 Presumably you’ve never ridden one?! Also it’s at least as fast as everything on this test (It wins practically every test it’s in against this lot).
I cant do that god awful headlight but everything else seems nice
Automotive Revive Yeah I love my 675R, but i love it DESPITE the headlights...! You can’t see them when you’re riding it and I park it front first in the garage haha
This was an excellent honest review, thank you!
I love this review!
Love it👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 by the way I have the Z900 and the DUCATI 821 I am lucky 🍀
Great video and great detail on the bikes, ive had a 790 since march of last year and i picked it because it was best bang for buck, and the light weight and amazing handling really carves up the street.
Just need to give it some different tyres and better looking mirrors and its good to go. (Stock exhaust while it looks meh, does give off an amazing sound so it depends on people who want to buy a different can)
I did consider an MT09 and street triple but for the price of a 790 i have everything i need and no more that i can ask for. Anymore power an ill just get a sport bike instead of moving up since the duke is a daily driver that feels great and when i really do need to give it the beans it does oblige.
Maybe perhaps a trade up to the 890 when it come out is in order?
Very good and informative test,thanks👍.
Cheers Juku!
Would be interesting to see the end result of this test using the updated Z900 now........
Then you should ad the new Duke 890, and even the BMW F900R to have an accurate "nowadays offer compararion". Who would win?
@@martiisbertgelabert569 Love the Duke! Not sure I could live with the BM's motor. Not too exciting by all accounts. But until I try one for myself......
Awesome review guys top notch just bought 790 Duke collect next week cheers 😊
John Weekes Thanks
I’m thinking of the 790. Unbelievable PCP on the 2019 model. I’m sure they won’t be selling many at the moment.
This was a really good comparison review, but I am still not sure witch one I would want to own.
I've narrowed down my two possible choices, either the MT09, or Honda cb650R I cant wait to test ride both and make a decision
Cryptosporidium 137 let us know how you get on.
Loved he didn't know no TC and kept pushing harder and harder lol 😂
I never tried it because I sold my 2015 R1 changing to a Supernaked so the natural choice was mt10 but I'd really really like to try riding a new mt09,..
Thanks for the down to earth review. Very informative.
Note to motorcycle manufacturers like Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda etc... just install a tft and quickshifter and most reviewers will like your bike
Random Tangent agreed bc people OBSESS over the FZ09... if they had tft and quickshifter that would be the MOST SOUGHT AFTER BIKE IN WORLD
Excellent comparison Tnx guys
Z900 baby !!
How are 900cc bikes considered middleweight?? Precisely when there are 650 and 700 versions of those nakeds.
i think the terminology just became outdate they refer to horsepower figures more than displacement since most of them are around a 100 HP , unlike superbikes which are around 200 ponnies
Yup.. That is what came to my mind too... (^~^)
Power to weight ratios, mostly.
Upper middle weight, but it doesn't stop with liter size either... not if you count Superduke 1290 and Monster 1200r
MotorcycleMoff oh and if you did rode the MT10 or mt10sp what did u think compared to the monster S and the mt09 sp ?
Great video!! Think it's about time for another round!?! 2022 naked middleweight shootout?
