I have no idea how she does that either. But there actually is a Copic Colorless blender. Rather self explanatory. But I'm not sure if she uses those or not.
Colorless blender isn't for blending, which I know is weird. But she blends by layering colors until she's okay with it. I think she made a video on colorless blender, it's more for blending to white. Hope this helped some

I'm 13, I mostly use Crayola and brands like Crayola, simple cheap supplies at walmart or dollar tree, I love using the material I do, markers don't normally work very well but I love using colored pencils, and pastels from art kits even if I hate the feeling of colored pencils.. And yes, I know how long ago this video was posted but I still love going back to old art and seeing how much you'r art has changed :)

+Nicole Slater This may be a late reply, but her markers are alcohol based marker then the regular markers like Crayola and Cra-Z-Art, the alcohol in it makes it a lot easier to blend. Sharpie would not be the best choice, but for inking it is okay. If you are looking for an alcohol based marker, try Copic markers or Prisma Color markers. You can find those at local craft stores! (Copics are BEST)
Ive wanted copic markers for YEARS and recently my friend bought a bunch and i dont have any but she doesnt really draw and doesnt use them properly. she just thinks theyre markers and i keep telling her that theyre for sketch and theyre high quality and expensive, but she still keeps using them for notes at school

+Asia Dellanoce No, they don't smudge. Also, smudging affects both right-handed and-left handed people when it comes to art because your hand is all over the page. It's not exclusive to us lefties, and it's not like writing, which is done from left to right.
+Asia Dellanoce Hi, I'm also a leftie, and I've learned a great little trick to avoid smudging. You just need to extend your little finger, while your holding your pencil, brush, marker. Not only does it help prevent smudging, but can be used as a guide to measure too. Ayesha Sadia Mine will look blotchy with the first layer of colour, but it smooths out once I go back to blend and add more layers. When you saturate the paper, that's when the colour looks smoothest.
Ayesha Sadia I use X-Pressit blending card, but it's not cheap. I think smooth bristol and good quality cardstocks are nice . I don't know specific cardstock brands that are good though, other than the X-pressit and Gina K Pure Luxury, since I haven't tried much.
Well along with the other advice you received, I know that after I watched a Copic marker video I got a tip that worked for me and might for you as well. I don't know if it works for all markers but if you use COPICS I'm pretty sure it will; color in a circular motion instead of just up and down. A way you can check if you colored well is flip the paper over and if it bled through a bit you can see if there are white spaces you did not but if it is filled in you did.

Colorless blenders are overrated (unless you go out of the lines too much). They don't blend at all. Their only purpose is to erase marker strokes.
