I have visited Eze as well, and did the opposite - took the train, hiked up, and took a bus back to Nice. For experienced hikers it is an easy walk in my opinion :) But loved the town (however during off season almost all cafes/restaurants were closed). Loved also Nice - did scuba diving there, and also Nice has great parks in the city - it needs to be mentioned!
This is my backyard. I lived in the South on and off for 40 years. Go visit Carcassonne , just north of Narbonne. Go to Bordeaux and St Emilion and the Citadel.
hi! nice and informative video of EZE! I'll be going in July of this year and was wondering if there's an alternative way of going down of the village to the beach instead of hiking down? Is there a local bus to drive down and which bus would it be? I don't think I can withstand the heat and long trail on foot from the top of Eze to the Eze Beach. Thanks for your help!
The municipality of Èze extends over a steep territory, which goes from the edge of the sea, where a hamlet forms "Èze-sur-Mer" (Eza on the Sea), a toponym which takes up the name of the local railway station, while the road signs points to “Èze-Bord-de-Mer” (literally Eza by the sea), up to the cliff top, where picturesque, medieval old houses form Èze-Village (Eza-village).
dear Laura, my wife and I are planning to visit Eze next week, since I got a hypertension issues I don't think I can use the stairs to go to the beach, is there another way to go to the beach other than walking? thanks in advance.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful village with us. I would like to ask a question - do all the gifts shops and cafes close during the winter time, let's say from November to March? Thank you very much.
Laura this is a lovely town! Love to add to our list of places to go during our trip. If we like to stay if there is any hotels or pjs r to stay that you recommend? Safe travels ❤
The only hotel I saw in the village was the same place where we had that coffee, chateau Eza, but I’m sure there are others that are perhaps not quite as expensive.

Hi! Beautiful video! We plan to visit Eze this summer and have an Airbnb in the village. However, I’m wondering if it’s best to stay in Nice and make Eze a day trip. What would you recommend?
Hi there. I loved your video! My girlfriend and I are going to nice next summer and eze looks like a great day trip! My question is the bus you take to get there, if you walk down to the beach, do they have a bus there, or do you have to hike up the mountain to get the bus? Thank you!
I have an upcoming trip to the French Riviera and EZE is on my bucket list, would like to take the train and make the hike in October , is same terminal for buses ? Name of terminal? Thank you for this helpful and well done video
How long did it take to tour the entire place? Im going ina couple weeks for only 3 days and was wondering if i would be able to tour menton and eze in the same day
Lovely video, you come across as a natural in front of the camera. What's the frequency of bus 82? Do the stops have displays with next bus arrival time mentioned... thanks
This was in February - I can't imagine how the garden has gone up so much? Is it high season already? Maybe the prices are different for high season. The bus is €1 if you buy a 10-ticket pass which costs €10.
Hello there ! I am just watching your RUclips and particularly Eźe France. My name is Phuntsog from England. I have a special request to you. Would you Kindly send me some local real estate information. I am interested to buy a house as I like that part of the France.
Hey Laura; It's Kilometer ... NOT Ki-LO-meter! ! ! If you're going to teach how to pronounce words then might as well pronounce them correctly; both French AND English! 8 Billion people on the face of the earth and about 7.5 Billion of them pronounce it properly! Only the Yanks and some of their northern neighbors say it INcorrectly! Try it, you'll like it!
I have known Eze from so many years that I have seen it becoming a f*&?ng tourist trap and nothing more than this, unless you are ok to pay a thousand euros to eat end sleep à La Chèvre d'Or, which in my opinion if overrated by 500 %. The parking is mailes from the village and the shuttle is dirty and does few rotations per hour. Expect to wait for quiet a bit. The gardens are a very expensive shit, its about 15 euros per adult now and definitely not worth so much money. I would recommend anyone to clearly avoid Eze unless your budget is of no concern, There are millions of places like it in France and especially in Provence, and most of them are 100 % free to visit. Exe is now a total scam.
Nietzsche wrote the "Zarathustra" here and also the Film "Love is blind" ends here happily

I was there last fall. It really is a beautiful place.
How was it during fall? I’m planning a trip end of October… what should I know?
was looking for the scene of the old Resistance men playing bocce ball by the creek. Bought them a round of beers.
just visited! beautiful and easy to get to. However the buses can get quite full

Attention: in Nice ask for a bus ticket to "Èze village", otherwise you will end up with a ticket to Èze-sur-Mer (beach)!
❤️🇫🇷was there south april👍
amazing video! do you happen to speak French? I don't speak a lick and will be visiting in June and wonder how hard it will be to get around...

What month oh the year did you go to eze? Love the video!!!!
Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous town - I woud live there.
It’s so stunning!
It s expensive
How long did it take to tour the entire place?

on my road-trip im driving from sainte croix du verdon to genua. do you reccomend me stopping in Nice or Eze. or both? wich if you had to pick one? ;)
Minus the hike and the beach how many hours does it take to cover the rest if i want to travel to menton from eze and return Nice.
Any permanent residence? or is it all business's and staff quarters?
Can you take an Uber ride to the village?
Lovely video, you come across as a natural in front of the camera.
What's the frequency of bus 82? Do the stops have displays with next bus arrival time mentioned... thanks
It's incredibly crowded. In addition, the bus is unreliable and not punctual. No wonder, with a fare of just €1.50. Displays? Yes!
@@georgtrakl205 thanks
We're planning on going in September. Is this considered the off season? (When everything is closed).
I'm not 100% sure, but I was here in February and everything was open, so I'm sure it's open in September as well.
Wow
Arrrr February * just noticed
How old is this video? Entrance for exotic garden is now 7€, bus 1,50€

❤
U2 lives on that beach
Only 4 Euros for a botanical garden on the Riviera? I almost don't wanna believe it!
7€ now
it was once part of Italy
