No matter which one I buy, it’s the wrong choice. The first opportunity to use a nailer will come up and it’ll be a perfect time for the gauge I didn’t buy.
I started collecting them over the years. I use the 18ga the most for trim and moulding.
Skip the 16g and just have 15 and 18g.
I bought both 😊
15 Gage all the way
Straight 18G. Nails are cheaper and easier to find in my local stores. 5000 18 gauge nails for £15
Sounds like guns off star wars
Yeah, it's pretty cool!😎👍
Angled because the nails are cheaper
Good point.
So there absolutely no reason for straight 16. Just angled 15 and an 18. Why straight at all. Does anyone know.
Have the angled
Angled all the way

I'd probably just get both, hate when situations just arise and I'm left regretting.
Good idea, it's nice having both.
I have the Straight and not Impressed at all
We use straight 18ga and 16ga.
I myself prefer angled finish nailers since it’s easier to get more strength out of them rather than angling the straight nails and having them possibly not go in all the way 🫠
What's the weight difference like between the 18 and the 16?
I'm looking at buying the 18g only due to the fact that it's slightly smaller than the 16, but if the 16 isn't too heavy then I'll probably buy the 16g
16 gauge for baseboard 15 for hanging doors
I don't know about you but who hangs a door with a nail gun?
Hammer and chisel where I'm from
@@dannym670 prehung door
@@Return2Kayfabe fixing the frames in with a nail gun is so rough, we'd get sacked if we did that.
4" screws and plastic packers when fitting the linings is the right way to go, countersink your screw heads and then the door stops cover the screws, just my two cents.
@@dannym670 Hey i agree with you brother so what we do is this - have a guy with the laser measure the difference in the floor and cut the bottom of the frames, remove one side of door trim and throw the door on the hole nail it off level against the hinge side then back shim it. It’s the fastest way i’ve found. I’ll have to make a video because im shite and explaining. You can do a whole house in a half a day with 3 good guys.
@@Return2Kayfabe yes I understand what you mean, it's funny how methods differ from place to place, we do occasionally fit pre hung door sets but we fit them exactly the same way as a traditional frame.
We fit all the frames first and then traditionally hang each door to the frames, we use hinge jigs, once the frames are in you can easily swing 20 doors by lunchtime.
They’re on sell right now 88 dollars at Home Depot
No they are not
Yeah they are go check
@@christophervazquez8603 In store or online? I think you are confusing this nail gun with a impact driver.
No I’m store I picked one up for 88 dollars on sale I’m trynna to post pic wirh price but doesn’t let me
@@winterssiege4624 In store only 2839-21HO 5.0 battery and charger for $89. I got my hands on 2. Apparently a HD employee bought 13 and was reselling them for $200 on facebook.
Angled all the way, the nails are stronger

That's my choice as well, but I could get used to the other one.
