The legendary episode Duane Barry. Duane was supposed to be the villian in this episode, but actor Steve Railsback brought such sympathy to him, that you really felt for him. Brilliant performance.

Excellent actor. Xfiles always had the best supporting cast.

This episode is the meat n potatoes of the X-Files grand storyline. The first implants they have found that truly prove to Scully that something secret, high level, and sinister is going on....

This is a very good episode. How did Duane find Scully's address? Maybe it's the Barry's implant she had? Do you remember the dialogue from the end of previous episode? Krycek: " Scully’s a problem." Cancerman: "Every problem has a solution." Well, we'll see. Great reaction.

The score during the hostage negotiation sounds just like the Full Metal Jacket scene where Pyle goes mental in the shitter then blows his brains out.

    It's a three-parter. Kind of a four-parter, really.
And it ignites the show's whole alien abduction/gov't conspiracy mythology.
