During 1970's travelled by Venkatadari Exp from Secunderabad to Bangalore many times . This train used dept at 8.20 pm and reached by 7.30 am at Bangalore.
Half of train goes to Tirupathi and remaining to Bangalore.
It was very fastest train, many times I used to get up at night time due to very high speed of train .
Those days it was meter gauge section and also seen construction of broad guage During day time .
This Venkatadri train took me to those days in Bangalore during my service period.

Was never aware of the fact that Bangalore Express and Venkatadri Express had an RSA. In the MG era, I guess the rakes split off/joined at Dharmavaram Jn (Meeting point for Bangalore and Pakala-Tirupati lines).
Apparently, in the 1990s, when the KCG-GTL line was Meter gauge, I read that the Venkatadri Express had two routes: One in MG and one in BG. Apparently, the MG route went along the GTL-DMM-PAK section, while the BG route went along the GTL-GY-RU section. Probably, the BG route would take the Vikarabad-Wadi-Raichur route to stick to BG tracks, but it's just a theory in my mind.
Bro RPF warned you because there were many issues of throwing rocks at the train......this was happening since many years.....when our train passes thorugh the suburbs after kacheguda the people warned to close the windows.....take care when you pass through there..❤

I remember travelling in this train long back in 1987 to tirupathi from kacheguda. From kadiri to Madanapalle there used to be a pilot engine to check landslides.

Regarding trains from kcg towards ynk, KJM and LGD sheds are currently facing loco shortage for hauling express trains.... So this may take some time....... Even though wap 7 production is now reduced..... IR is manufacturing wag 9's and many trains in SWR are running behind a wag 9

Traveled with this train 7-8 years before from KCG to TPTY (Tirupati) and its very comfortable for visiting Tiruparti by its timing...board at 8 PM and reached at morning 7 at Tirupti 😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻

Great capture of the chugging of course. Bonus was listening to the good old IR track sound for a section of the track between Pakkala & Chittoor along with the swinging sound of the metal gangway between two coaches 😊

I really love your videos. It is very immersive and I feel as if I am actually travelling in these trains. Keep it up. As for this particular video, the I did a bike trip on the road which hugs the railway line from Cuddapah to Razampeta to Rengunta. Went from Chennai to Gandikota, you veer away from the tracks after Yerraguntla. Was reminded of that trip while watching the early morning segment. Do lemme know if you are passing / starting / ending a trip in Chennai. I would love to meet you. Regards Sriram

With the ALCOs this is really special, although with changing times they (ALCOs) will be gone soon. One more thing will miss is the track sound with ICF coaches ( but will always enjoy at the start of all your videos).

this VENKATADRI Express was started between Tirupathi nd Hyderabad via Dharmavaram in the years 1975 or 76 I don't remeber exactly. when it was first started there were any tickets for sleeper and 1st class oaches. the local people travelled in that later only they made rules nd regulations for the train. after hearing the trains name now. I recollect my childhood days in Pakala.
