The tone on this solo always made it stick in my mind. Such a good sound and this captures it almost spot on. I might have to buy this.

Cool. Look how fast he dialed that in and it sounds really good. After trying all the $$$ modelers, building a $$$$$ noisey pedal board that gives me problems.... I tried the ME80. So far so good. No noise. Doesn't mess with the tone going straight into my amp (like the others). No menus to struggle with. It sounds really good! There are a couple things i have to work around but so far I'm excited that this might work for me.

Same here. Bought my ME80 last year and I'm really happy with how it sounds. It's a great fx unit, definetely a 10/10 especially for the price

Just got my new ME-80, better late than never. Your videos made me buy this pedal. Love the Brian May tone, i would like to know what´s the effect at the end of the solo? Sounds like a harmonizer or something. Thanks!

The Boss ME80 has a built in emulation of their PS6 harmoniser pedal.

I’m going to o reiterate a query that I posted below the “Crazy Train” sound simulation. Is anyone even attempting to simulate the Boston guitar sound which began with a Marshall amp, a wah-wah set to mid position and the prototype Power Soak - and culminated in the original Rockman product line? Seeing all the Randy Rhoads and Brian May simulations from both Roland and Line 6 is only whetting my appetite for a Tom Scholz simulation.
I have a Rockman X100. Want to duplicate it here.

The solo wasn't played on an AC 30 though. He used the handmade amp that John Deacon built. It's critical to the sound and was later used for part of Bohemian Rhapsody too.

  • @MurdaCrumpet

What u need to exactly replicate brian may is a tube drive phaser analog chorus which is delay and brite room which is a reverb effect on single coil bridges only rlly

Hi Big Cheese, Since this video isn't on my channel I only just this comment. As far as your comment goes, I literally tell you where to start at the 55 second mark in this video (i.e. turn all of your effects OFF and start with an Amp Simulator), and then go on to show you every setting I used in the rest of the video. The Amp, the EQ, the Delay, the Reverb... and then you can download the patch for free through the Boss Tone Studio Software (which was added after this video was made).
