Literally 2nd worst competitive generation lmao. Complete chaos with 2 gimmicks present (megas and dynamax), power creep ramping up way more than previous gens, terrain wars, weather wars, tapus spam in every team, ultrabeasts running rampant oneshotting shit (looking at you kartana), mimikyu doing mimikyu things, marshadow casually reverse sweeping your entire team, ultra necrozma's existence, etc etc etc. It was the beginning of the end for pokemon singles competitive format. Gen 9 is the result of all these years of unchecked power creep. Just go take a look at the atrocious state of Smogon OU. Literal cancer.
@@ahassani You really mentioned a huge mess, a mess so chaotic and bad it's not even real, like, dynamax came in on gen 8. Most "broken" mons you're talking about aren't usually available in the same metagame, mimikyu is one of the most tame pokemon ever (even a noob trap), ditto could reverse sweep easily since gen 5, ultra necrozma needs two turns to get out and has to bring a z move to exist (taking away an item slot). You can say you don't like gen 7, but you don't have to lie or make stuff up, or even admit you didn't/don't know how to deal with a mon like mimikyu, and I say this truthfully, sometimes it's frustrating facing those gimmicks
I'll say gen 3, so much variety, but then stealth rocks arrived in gen 4, and crushed all of those dreams, until finally(!), Heavy duty boots came around.
@@et34t34fdf I actually love Gen 8 so much I feel like boots did so much for the power level on offense and defense respectively. It can potentially lead to hard defense or mono boots ho but those are more so edge cases than an actual reflection on the tier similar to how hard stall in gen 2 while being very rare has done enough damage to the culture that the tier has been branded as stall or balance heavy.
Bro this happens to everyone that no-life’s ADV. they see the light and the best tier becomes completely realized. Outside of meteor mash attack boosts letting meta run away with the game and aero rock slide flinches, those are the only hax unique to gen 3 (obviously ice beam freeze, pre gen 6 crits, hax in general still exists) that put a damper on the meta, but overall it’s much easier to play hard archetypes while still having room for creativity in movesets or team structure. Def my favorite tier, but I love gens 7 and 2 as well
also sometimes you have a sandless game and lax/cune become impossible to take down (or the pink blob too if your team is too specially oriented, or you lose your physical 'mons to boom or dug), but well that's usually a matchup issue more than hax
@@TheMightyNaryar if you’re referring to mixed offense or physical offense yeah that shit is terrible. Most of the time you have to be better than your opponent to make it really work. Making good hedges, proper positioning, realizing your wincons in either a mix mence, dd sweep, sd salac hera sweep, etc, you gotta make every effort to make those late game scenarios go as well as possible… or just freeze with suicune ice beam and CM 6 times…
You were too harsh on gen 1. On the surface it may seem limited but that means any deviation from the norm can give you a significant advantage. I find it amazing how a 20+ year old game still sees meta game shifts and developments
I haven't watched the video yet, but I have to say it's Gen 7. Amazing in all ways, z moves and Megas, it's the knock off nerf we all didn't know we needed.
Ill be honest i started last year playing gen 3 and 2, and then picked up 1 with no friend or help or prior experience in pokemon and I think they are all very easy to pick up. Team preview also inherently confuses me, not having a set lead is way more confusing.
Generation 1 is actually very balanced, sure tauros is on every team but its not like its so dominant its difficult to handle. Exeggutor isnt considered mandatory AT ALL. And chansey isnt near as mandatory. Although i agree that it wouldnt be the best for beginners id say that generation 1 is one of the more balanced of the 9. Also the crit rates are fine as crits are wayyyyy easier to recover from due to how bulky the tier is.
I really hate how much of a rolecoster gen 3 is. It puts you in position with such risky moves, and I really hated that. Probably one of my least enjoyable generation that U played. And we are talking about 2x crit, with higher chance.
Gen 3 might be good.
Oh hi Iron Mugulis!
Yes
Wherever I go, I see his face
this is insane, folks
This folk is insane!
big fan of this young child explaining pokemon
You literally sound like prepubescent TyranitarTube back in 2013 times. My mind is blown
I’m a grown women I promise
I looked him up and oh my god yes, they sound IDENTICAL. CHUXSSS ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE NOT 6 YEARS OLD
LMFAO OG TtarTube 🤣 this is so true
HOLYYYYY HOW IS IT SO ACCURATE (Parameter if you're curious: 2DHudeHhW0g)
Obviously it’s generation three, I mean it’s the debut meta of omnipotent being Ludicolo
This is insane, folks.
Yes it is.
We Jimothy fans are not biaised at all.
Gen 7 will always be in my heart
Hell yeah brother or sister

2:37 I love how professional the tier list looks 😍😍😍
Next video should be what generation could unfeazant be relevant in
gen 5 was my favorite bc the moving 2d sprites were just so cool to look at as a spectator lmao

Cant wait for BKC to discover this video. I wonder what his reaction will be after you put gen 1-2 so low
Anything pre physical/special split doesn't hit for me and permanent weather is pretty horrible.
Gen 6 is the best imo
5:23 NOOOOO NOT STALL! Now all those community posts make way more sense
Dude, you've grown so much, last vid i watched was the grass is bad vid lmfao.
Thank you
My wish is gen 3.5, where we already have physical-special split and gen4 pokemon, but we don't have stealth rock yet

i completely agree with your take on gen 9 as well that is why i dont like it because i miss the creativity of team building

51 PEOPLE VOTING TO BAN SHAYMIN AND NOONE ABSTAINING IN GEN 5 IS CRAZYY
I’d say something about how every gen is objectively good in its own ways but gen 8 genuinely blows
i'm sorry but what was that gen 5 clip????

I'm a Gen 3 fanboi forever and always

Based
Wrong gen 5 is the best one
gen 3 best because i grew up with it 💪

I played 8 a lot, but gen 5 is my favorite. The first modern gen
Early yay time for my fav femboy

Gen 2 is the worst piece of garbage ever made and nobody can tell me otherwise
