- The wait is finally over. This is by far the craziest experience for The Final Drive team. Being able to create what we love and sharing it with the people who have nothing but love and support for us. Safe to say that it is a dream come true and an honor to work with a car that is so special. We thank the owner of this beauty for trusting us. It’s a surreal feeling being the first to have ever been given the permission to take this beast out on the road.
So here it is, we are proud to introduce to you the world's very first in car review of the HKS Zero R.

I think this is what a perfect, high budget resto-mod R32 might look like if it was made today but to think this was made over 2 decades ago by HKS is utterly flabbergasting, the amount of thought that clearly went into its body design alone is mind blowing, the fact that it wasn’t over done in terms of power like so much is these days, it was designed to work with what it had like so many similar cars from companies such as RUF etc, and that in my opinion is what makes a truly exceptional car. I only learnt of this car today and truth be told I’m not even a massive Skyline fan so for me to instantly respect those four cars to the level I do is somewhat surprising, fantastic video on a fantastic car!

16 minutes of footage of this car being the road is amazing we only seen like 4-8 minutes of this by HKS and another not being driven but turned on.

This channel is a golden find, the cinematics and cars are awesome, I’ve only known about the Zero R for about a year now and when I first saw it, it was instantly a dream car, amazing to finally see a good video on it. Congrats mate only a few people in this world get such the pleasure to drive a unicorn like that. Maybe we could get a video on the R34 GTR Z-Tune or the R33 Nismo 400R?

For 1920s, the unicorns were Bentley Grand Tourers. This Generation's unicorns are things like from HKS that were made in 90s with no restrictions.
Shame HKS doesn't do something similar to the R35, the full package. A love letter from a legend to a legend. Also amazing quality you guys 💯. You deserve tons more subs.

Wow great video mate! Being from SA we've been gifted with plenty of rare GTRs since the 90s but this is a special one!
RUclips Algorithm really blessin me today. I have a white 1992 R32 GTR that came with a few HKS bits on it, incredible how much it adds to the car. I can only imagine what it would be like to experience their full vision for the bnr32 chassis, especially considering how meticulous they are with part development and specification. You are a very lucky person to have felt this vehicles ghost :)

Ahhh the 90s...golden era of unicorn tuning. So many legends comes to my mind from various brand & tuners. The purist in me do appreciate this stuff so much lol

RARE car👍🏻👍🏻 the only thing that is regrettable is that not many people alive got to experience the HKS twin turbo sequential RB , that engine WAS the car . Basically u start making boost as soon as u press the gas ..it must of been something special 🤩

I worked for HKS Europe for 12 years and visited the factory in Japan a couple of times. They had a couple of these sitting outside rotting in an area like an old car graveyard.

That’s a beautiful example of a Skyline period. I’ve been into the JDM scene since the mid 90s with the JGTC and Gran Turismo. That said, I love the nose of the R33 GTR, but the rest is too sedanish. Because of the lack of popularity of the R33 compared to its brethern I’m actually interested in investing in one. For a small reference I graduated high school in 1999 and to celebrate I bought a cherry 1991 240SX SE hatchback. It had Super Hicas, and even though it wasn’t perfect the idea lead to a lifelong relationship with Nissan.
Man the R32 GTR is literally one of the best looking cars ever made. It's just perfect to me.
The back is to die for....the front is ...I am not sure. But what a GEM

That bodykit reminds me of the Veilside Evolution for the FD RX7. The whole rear of the car is one piece bonded straight to the original shell. Not very practical for maintenance but it does look pretty cool overall. Not too OTT. Seats in red is a bit too VTEC yo style. Should've gone a nice part leather/part alcantara along with the fuel tank. Regardless, there's a lot of tasty parts on this. Wheels look the business, those project mu and alcon brakes... Never knew this thing existed either. Good to know :)
