I love her as anne. I always thought she was so pretty, her voice and the way she pronounces words is soothing too. She's the perfect anne. Nobody can ever out do her! They can never make a version better either. This movie was definitely one of those things that really influenced my childhood, as a young girl I really loved it. The creepy forest scene was one of those stand out memories for me. I think I even played "haunted woods" while playing in the woods as a kid. I would get myself and my friends all freaked out. Good times.
I totally agree with what you've just said. im now 43 and I rewatched it all this week and I was completely taken aback at a lot of the sayings and speaches that she and the other cast members said because growing up in my teens and twenties, I would quote those lines all the time in everyday speech so it really influenced the way I talked in general ! Whoever wrote those scripts has such a way with words. They are OBSESSED with Providence ! Road to Avonlea is on tv at the moment in England and id never seen it. so iv been recording them all and they are all obsessed with 'providence' on that show too hahaha its really funny how they use the word so much !
ps - I only have to hear the tune start playing midway in an episode and it brings me to tears every time. its completely heart wrenching stuff ! There are so many scenes you can have a good bawl over ! The other night I was sobbing into the side of the arm chair as if it was something real I was watching haha
This movie has always been perfection. The cast was incredible. The plot was able to bounce SO BEAUTIFULLY through being hilarious to being heartbreaking, to being heartwarming to being romantic FLAWLESSLY. The cinematography and use of colors was breathtaking which was incredibly hard to do ESPECIALLY in the 80s and do it as well as this. Just an incredible piece of art all the way around. ❤
She is brilliant. And the chemistry between her and Colleen was just so perfect! Everything came together so well in 'Annie of Green Gables', I've watched it a billion times. Beautiful cinematography, too.
I feel like I could spend hours in conversations with her and never grow tired. What a beautiful person inside and out. She was her character. Such a rare gem of a person!
It`s fortunate I never met Megan around this time. I would have been so hopelessly smitten , like a lovesick schoolboy. I would have scared the life out of her!! She, for me, is the ONE and ONLY Anne of Green Gables. She set the template.
Aweeeeee, Anne of Green Gables, the sequel, and the continuing story, there's nothing like them. Megan Follows was awesome in them all. I have them on VHS and DVD. 😉
I thought these were excellent scenes. I don't know about yall, though, but I bawled my eyes out when Marilla and Anne were crying and comforting each other after Matthew's death!
***** More puzzlement over your comment. If you read the books and saw the mini series, Anne was not supposed to be pretty, especially when she arrived to Green Gables. Megan Follows is pretty in the above video. It's just an observation, nothing to base value on.
Yep a truly one-of-a-kind period drama - everything meshed, everything flowed. When my parents suggested it as a weekend thing to do with popcorn and apples, maybe it would be another sappy dud. How could it be better than "Hockey Night in Canada" or going walking in the mountains...? Over the years I learnt it is just as good if not better as it morphed to my life. Its storyline with varying seasons of life reflected in my own life. You can actually use the values in the story in real life. After the summer of 2006 and a promising dating experience, I only had one last great life experience before 2008. Since then my life has been in constant change up and including COVID. The wonderful save of Minnie May from stroup cough to solidify her potential at Green Gables to the Gilbert-Anne saga that would produce some of the saddest and weighty scenes. Almost every girl can relate to that relationship dynamic. So relatable from the bullying - admittedly light in the first gen to the edgier Minni May-Boys Smoking-outhouse scene - to life decisions and career. It beautifully integrates all of it and ties it in a bow. I'll admit there were times I shed a tear. PS. Whatever happened to the actor of Minnie May...? I thought she would've had a promising career.
Thank you! We absolutely agree; so many relatable life moments. Minnie May was played by Morgan Chapman, Kevin Sullivan's niece. She decided not to pursue any more acting as she got older.
@@sullivanentertainment Yep I thought so. I heard that in Bonus section. Makes sense she didn't continue. The actor of Emmaline Harris was a good actor too. The "Kings College school fight" and "Remedial Discipline" scenes were amusing. Was the Pringle name a fictitious device from the book or historical fact..? Acting industry as is certain parts of the film indistry is rough in a different way from construction.
So funny! I've had things like this sorta happen on set too. And i can't help but grin thinking the way she's explaining her story is much like Anne would.
She looks like hailee stienfeld or hailee stienfeld looks like her!!! They are so much a like for me im just seeing there resemblance... Anyways they are both beautiful and i super love them both...✌😍😘😘 Who's with me?
Lol @Canadians when they thinks it's hot out. My husband's from Toronto and I from New Orleans. I dragged him down here but I remember how when we were first married he was so overheated that one night he said he was going back to Canada. It was like 75 degrees in the house.
I've seen them.... And.... I'm gonna have to agree. Megan is always gonna be the perfect little Anne girl of green gables. The chemistry between her and Colleen is so amazing.
She was the Best anne.. And colleen was the Best marilla.. And Richard was the Best Matthew... The truth is this
And Jonathan was the best Gilbert❤
RIP
And Hagood Hardy was the best composer.
Megan has the most pleasant voice.
Just like her mother's voice.
Even more pleasant as Anne

@@blrr5blrr That tune of violins and piano breaks my soul every time I hear it and my eyes get wet. It is inevitable to me. 😭 😭
I bought the book because of this series. I just could not get into it.
The best ever
The longer I live, the more I believe that Megan Follows just may be the closest to perfection that any woman could hope to achieve.
She was perfect for the role, no one will ever top her original performance.🧡 And she is mesmerizingly beautiful here as well!
She is the best Anne. SHE IS THE ONLY ANNE
This movie has always been perfection. The cast was incredible. And the music.... I see you share the same name as Megan Follows. Nice
She really is utterly adorable.
She is so well spoken!
I like her Voice it was for me one of the best Voices in the complete World!!! Thanks for Anne Of Green Gables
Megan this show will always be my favorite and it is a classic
My absolute FAV Anne. I remember watching Anne Of Greene Gables on PBS so many years ago
It`s fortunate I never met Megan around this time. I would have been so hopelessly
smitten , like a lovesick schoolboy. I would have scared the life out of her!!

+Hallie Harker I remember that well- my mother and I were bawling like babies!
A. Keeton I know, right??? When Marilla's voice broke when she said, "..You're like my own flesh and blood now..." Man... that got to me!!!
Totally. I must've seen the series hundreds of times since its premier and I still choke up- even more so after John Crombie died.
A. Keeton I know! :( RIP Jonathan and Colleen and Richard!!!
I love Megan Follows as Anne of Green Gables! ♥
I knew someone who went to school with Megan. They said, yep, she was sort of like Anne irl. Same attitude, personality.
She was a real beauty. She made an appearance in one episode of the Ray Bradbury Theater
She is sooooo beautiful! As she is at her current age.
Thanks for sharing, so great to see and hear Megan tell memories from "Anne of Green Gables". Megan is the best.
Best "Bosom Friends" movie series everrrrr Anne of Green Gables 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Dear god, she’s gorgeous. 😮
She looks so pretty here. Far from the Anne that Matthew brought home.
***** I never heard that before. Now I am enlightened. Thank you. = )

EmpressOfWyoming58 I have always thought she has the beauty of the Angels!
She was always pretty
Shes was my first crush as a kid
Yass! Me too!! We used to have Anne on VHS.
megen didn’t just okay anne- she was anne!
Hi, Iola! You are completly right! Meghan was the best Anne ever, and also "Marilla" and her "brother"!
I always enjoy these movies!
This looks like a 80 or 90's video
Brittnee Broussard because it is
It was an amazing product with finite detail
A beautiful series

Never realized she did an accent
Sullivan, por favor cuando suben la serie completa de Ana tejas verdes en Español o subtitulos?
There is only one Anne, that's her. I refuse to watch the others.
I've seen them....
And.... I'm gonna have to agree. Megan is always gonna be the perfect little Anne girl of green gables. The chemistry between her and Colleen is so amazing.
I was always in love with Anne. I kept wanting her to marry Gilbert.
Are these video snippets available somewhere on DVD...maybe on one of the newer DVD sets?
No really l just love my Bean Burger and Tuna Fish Life! (Insert laugh)
I wont brag but I will. :)
