As an engineer the hardest faults are the intermittent ones and they nearly always end up being an electrical issue and often a bad earth somewhere. I agree with you mate that you should’ve pushed for compensation of some sort. Nevertheless, glad you got it solved and thanks for sharing.
I have a lot of sympathy for you as something similar happened to me with my scrambler , I’d owned it for two weeks and the temperature sensor had to be replaced which took nearly five weeks all at the tail end of lockdown when everyone keeps getting pinged to isolate and deliveries for parts was seriously delayed all whilst trying to start a new RUclips channel. 😡
