Very interesting lecture. Few short remarks I would like to make:
Constractinal Law states: "For a finite-size system to persist in time (to live), it must evolve in such a way that it provides easier access to the imposed currents that flow through it". In this connection I would like to mention the theory of Costly Signaling Theory of Amotz Zahavi. The motion is not the only factor which has importance on the evolution of the living organisms.
As to explanation of the Golden Ratio phenomena I think there probably the number of different appearances and explanations. I can explain it within Fractal bio-mechanical theory I developed. Golden Ration proportions provide the most energy cost effective motion. This effectiveness is a basis for our instinctive feeling of beauty of ourselves and of human body in general. We also judge all external forms in the same way.

Nothing slips through water, an object has to displace the same volume of water as its own volume. True, not all of it will be forced to the water surface but some of it will. There are submarine-detection satellites that can see the surface wake or trail of a submerged sub by detecting slight changes in elevation at the water surface.

Como o Cientista Fernand Pontes, havia previsto, sobre a necesdidade de um novo modelo dentro da lei constructal para a Ciência da Economia., na substituição do já tão ultrapassado sistema monetário.

An aircraft carrier transfers momentum more efficiently than a BMW. That's why it transports aircraft, and a BMW transports yuppies.

Larger vehicles move larger masses more efficiently. Calculate the fuel costs of 50 BMW moving 50 people versus one bus moving 50 people.

Yes but his theory states that it might take aprox. the same time to run an BMW from Rotterdam to Monaco as it would take to an aircraft carrier. And even if is not the same, how about comparing the time wich a number of BMWs can travel in an aircraft carrier to the time wich same number of BMW`s are running simultaneusly on the roads of Europe to get to the same point :)

@6:35 fish in lake - "The bottom is obviously fixed, but the surface is not. So how can the fish move? It has to lift water." But the fish is in the water. It displaces the same amount at all times. The fish merely needs to slip through the water, not lift it, in order to move. Close to the surface, it may make some waves as it moves, but I don't think there is any hydrodynamic lift. The fish has neutral buoyancy. Fishy? I didn't find his "arguments" at all compelling. Lost me.

    What a load of crap.
Using the term "golden ratio" for any rectangle.
"Long and fast, short and slow: all movement on earth is of this type": never heard of ships?
Wikipedia calls constructal law a "first principle of physics". More like a vague and useless statement that can be interpreted to fit anything.
People believing in "life force" and "life energies" will embrace it I expect.

another way to say nothing or theory of the theory with no realistic practical applications...but people are able to invent anything to make them more interesting. studding nature patterns and trying to apply them in an artificial human made environment is futile. anyway all the pasterns of the nature are changeable. for sure his sterile theory will make him to avoid the death and even to regrow his hair loss. sweet dreams!
