    Crystal clear! Could I ask if it is possible to use the word "scope" instead of "aim" in the written tasks? For instance:" The scope of this proposal is..." Thank you for your videos!

    • @englishbits
      @englishbits  3 года назад +1

      Hello María! I'd say that scope works better with "a study" or "a research", e.g. "the scope of the study/research". I wouldn't use "scope" with an essay. 🤓

    I've recently discovered your channel and I'm loving it! I'm preparing the CPE test and your videos are very useful and engaging for me, thanks a lot! I only have one question: what's the difference between "consensus" and "consent"? If there's a difference at all...

    • @englishbits
      @englishbits  3 года назад +1

      Thanks, Stella! 😄 As for your question, "consensus" is when a group of people reach an agreement (They didn't reach a consensus on this matter), while "consent" is a permission, you allow sb to do sth (I give my consent to the use of my videos on your app). 😉

    I would like to know if this collocation is properly used: THE GREATEST TURNOVER
    My husband is on cloud nine! Only recently did he take part in the process which was responsible for THE GREATEST TURNOVER in the history of the company he works for.
    In this case, the turnover has the 1st meaning mencioned in this video

      They mean different things. "Budget": amount of money you have available to spend and "turnover" is amount of money that a company makes in a period of time.
