My grandparents were from Kolkata, where he was born and died. They spent so much of their childhood learning about Tagore and they even started a Tagore society in their University.
I am almost ashamed of the fact that I didn't know much about him or Bengali culture until now, but I intend to change that. Plus, he spent longer time in Santiniketan in India (from 1901 to 1932)
Bangla and Bengali is also an integral part of Indian culture.

Being a Punjabi it is very difficult to get the true sense of this The Greatest Poet, writer, Philosopher and a the Greatest human being. Still when I read The Home Coming and Gitanjali, it gave a sense of connectivity to nature and my roots.. All the persons who can get the true sense of His works are very lucky..
I expected a deeper and hard voice. But I am fortunate enough to listen to his original voice, it is a blessing 😌

@@amanthakur8269 Nope bro. I guess Tagore saab was a natural tenor. And yes it is true that as you grow older, your voice becomes deeper. And voice changes after puberty, but at a much slower rate. There are many examples of this. Manna Dey, Bhupen Hazarika, Kishore da, etc are some of them. The difference is that some people's voice change a great deal, and in some people its effect is neglible(example Mohd Rafi). But it is for sure that one who has a deep voice can't have a more shrill voice when he's old.

It's partially because of the recording system. I heard voice of Syed Mujtaba Ali, and Kazi Nazrul Islam, felt quite the same.
I don't know the internals, but something wrong with the recording technology that time.

অনেকগুলো comments পড়ার পর শেষ পর্যন্ত এমন একটা comment পেলাম যেখানে কেউ ঠাকুরের কথাগুলোও শুনেছে, শুধু সুমধুর কন্ঠস্বর শুনে ঠাকুরের পা ধরে টানাটানি করে ঠাকুরকে স্বর্গ থেকে নামিয়ে আনার ব্যবস্থা করে নি।
